Casa Ludovico - Palm Harbor, FL
The only critic we have was the appetizer we had said it had a garlic oil and balsamic. Didn't see it anywhere on the plate. The vegetables were grilled perfectly. So we asked for some balsamic vinegar and we used our olive oil to dress it
Despite having a reservation we were seated upstairs next to a pillar and right next to a table of six partying girls. It was very crowded. The food was not outstanding, the sausage and red sauce on the rigatoni was not spicy and my side of pasta was cold. The chicken Ludovico was good.
Food was delicious and service wonderful...
The noise level was high due to the table next to us, but otherwise it seemed calmer in the rest of the restaurant.
It was lovely place, great food & Service. They seated us a table at the bar. It was bit noisy. Overall good & plan on returning.
I am never disappointed when dining at your restaurant!
We had a great dinner last night. The pasta, sausage, sun dried tomatoes and broccoli rabe in oil was delicious. We had a lovely Spanish red blend which paired very well. It is always cold there so bring a sweater but the dinner was delicious.
We were disappointed in our experience at this restaurant! My food was very tough to eat. The chicken parm had to be sawed with a knife and I left half of it. The side order of pasta was skimpy and served late and barely warm. The dessert and coffee were delicious. The noise level was was way to high. The waitress was accommodating and pleasant. We will not be returning to this establishment!
Amazing food as always
We were more than happy with our entire dining experience at Casa Ludovico. We were particularly drawn to the restaurant because it is in its own free standing beautiful grand home building. The valet service is a wonderful perk. From the moment we stepped into the dining room we experienced 5 star service and were immediately impressed with our servers' attentiveness and wonderful personalities. The food is without comparison in any Italian restaurant we have experienced in the greater Clearwater area. We will highly recommend Casa Ludovico to all our friends and business acquaintances.
Had great service from Rick. And delicious food
Our favorite go-to local restaurant! Food is always outstanding.!
The food and service are always 5 star, just wish there was a way to mute the noise level. Will continue to frequent this restaurant.
Best italian food in the area! I come here as frequently as I can. It is consistently great.
Best Italian restaurant in the Tampa Bay Area!
Food is absolutely delicious. My wife and I eat here about three times a month and have never had a bad meal or service. After only dining here twice, the concierge knew our names and the staff is always very knowledgeable and diligent. Love it here!
Always a great experience! Great food choices, ambience and service. Rather noisy crowd on a Wednesday night.
A Palm Harbor must! Great place to dine!
Can’t wait to go back!
Our meals were delicious, great waiter and hostess, and fun atmosphere !
The food was creative and WONDERFUL. The service was excellent . It was a little pricey, but not enough to complain. Everyone in our party REALLY enjoyed the evening!
This was a recommendation to us and we really love the food, service and the overall dining experience.
Fantastic food! Phenomenal service!! Just a great night all around!
This was a highly recommended restaurant. I was visiting FL and took out my parents. The food was good, but overpriced in my opinion. $10 salads that should come with the entree?! Pasta entrees at $24!?- again, not incl soup or salad. I’m a sales guy that eats out approx 10 times per week.
Everything was fantastic
Very nice dinner with exceptional service on a quiet Thursday with my wife in this house-converted, rustic restaurant on Alt. 19 in Palm Harbor, Fl. Generous portions of Caesar salad and lightly fried mozzarella and zucchini to start, followed by scrumptious entrees featuring Fettucine Boscaiola, an Alfredo type dish with a delicious sauce and nice pieces of prosciutto and shiitake mushrooms throughout, and Pollo Ludovico, a house inspired chicken dish featuring a wonderful brandy cream sauce and wild mushrooms. For dessert, we shared a slice of a very nice chocolate mousse cake. We gave it only 4 stars because we feel it's unfair to offer 5 stars when we've only sampled a bit of the menu, but we certainly plan to return and try many other offerings, and if they're all as good as our initial experience, that fifth star will appear in a later review. All in all, a delightful evening, and kudos to the chef for perfectly cooked pasta in both dishes.
Food and our waitress were excellent. As well as wine selection. We came here for NYE for romantic evening with fiance. But unfortunately the atmosphere was like Chuckie Cheeses' due to large party of 14 being extremely intoxicated and loud. We could not even have a conversation at our table. And when they finally were leaving they broke out silly string that went all over the dining room and into our food! Sadly the owner seemed to be the main participant. Should have just been a private party for this group. But I guess they need the money. We will not be back even though we live just few blocks away. Unless maybe they have a take out window!
Amazing...Every entrée my group ordered was delicious! Mine was a little pricey for the amount of food (5 medium-large ravioli for $24), but it tasted wonderful. Everyone else had really substantial portions though, so I think it's just that one dish. Also, despite how busy it was (New Year's Eve with numerous reservations being sat at once), we got our food incredibly quickly and never had to wait for drinks. We would go back again in a heartbeat.
Food was cold and flavorless. Very disappointing. Sadly, it was not worth the money.
Overall it was a great experience except for when we order the wine. I thought we had gotten a bottle of Abruzzo for $42 and when the bill came it was 60. The reason I thought it was gonna be 42 is that my initial question was the $33 bottle of wine so when I pointed the server took it to mean the more expensive bottle As opposed to the bottle I ordered. When the bill came, I figured it was New Year’s Eve so why make a deal of it. So our bill was $18 more than it should’ve been.
We were stuck in a corner upstairs where the waiters were banging around in a sort-of butlers pantry. We had 4 people squeezed into a table for two. First time in 15 years we were disappointed in this place. Food was still great. Could have ordered more appetizers and more wine if we had room on our little table. Will return but only as a twosome.
Very nice restaurant but a little pricey for what you get. A dinner for two with drinks came out to at least $100.00 with no dessert. Nice restaurant for a special occasion
Best Italian meal we have had in the area!
The noice level was very high for such a quaint place. The food was fabulous! Our waiter could have been more attentive, he always seemed rushed, and had to raise his voice for us to hear him. A little sound proofing would help. We had 4 at a very small table. Not comfortable. I will return to give another chance as the food and wine was exceptional.
Excellent service and dinner.
Best Italian in the area....really good service. Love this place.
Great food and service. Will return
Need to add a house wine. Lowest cost wine is $12
Delicious Italian food, casual to dressy atmosphere. Well crafted cocktails. Quiet enough for intimate conversation. Great Italian food... Veal was very tasty.
Christmas Eve with the 2 seatings was a little chaotic at turnover time trying to get in, but once we were seated it was fantastic. Waitress was accommodating after a slow start with a appetizer, all the food and service was excellent. We love everything about this place and always have a great experience. Thanks!
Ideal Christmas Eve dining experience, pleasant and attentive staff. Most importantly, fine meal.
