Casa La Femme Ratings and Reviews
I have been coming to Casa Le Femme for many years. The food is AMAZING and very authentic. The owner is a first class gentleman and went the extra mile to take care of our group of 8.
The place is a lot of fun for groups or a special date. I took my wife there before we were married and she loved it. We have been regulars ever since. I highly recommend it.
The restaurant is very unique in its decor...warm and charming.
The staff was very inviting and upbeat. The food was fresh and a little spicy.
Overall, the experience was excellent for a small party with good friends who want to have fun.
The bellydancer's were very professional and attractive as well.
Waitress was annoying and kept trying to make us buy and order more....and then we saw them charge another table for extra items that were actually supposed to be on our bill, and the other table didn’t notice....but we ended up having to pay for our items anyway so the restaurant made double. VERY sketchy, and even as we were getting up another waitress tried to make us stay and order dessert and after we said no we saw her leave and whisper something to the manager. I just got a weird vibe after leaving there and I don’t think I’ll go back again, which is a shame because the food was decent. I didn’t want to believe other reviews that mentioned the double charge stories but it’s true!
The food was good and ambiance was very cozy. However, based on other reviews in Open Table, I called ahead before making reservations to ensure the time of the belly dancing. After confirming before and when we were seated days later, the dancer never performed. We asked the waiter who then stated that the dancer would not perform because the audience was "low". Very disappointed and would have chosen another venue as we traveled 300 miles to visit NYC.
The restaurant is beautiful and serves good authentic Egyptian fare, not easily found in Manhattan. The staff was very attentive and the service excellent. There was a wonderful belly dancing performance at the end of the meal which only added to the overall enjoyment of the evening!
Waiter wasn’t pleased we didn’t get a whole bunch of expensive items on the menu... He got more rude as he realized it too. Food was Alright. They have some obscure rule about the pre fix either the whole table does it or nobody does... probably won’t be back.
I always order delivery from Casa La Femme. It’s my first time dining in. I didn’t like the type of chairs, but I’m in love with the Egyptian cuisine! The food is SO delicious! And the server really took care of us and our continuous requests! “Change the music, bring the salt (for my sister - I thought the food was perfect!), bring more spoons, etc.” The manager too was very generous with us, giving us a discount, because I’m a regular customer (delivery). With all honesty, their grilled half chicken is the best I’ve ever tasted - the lamb chops too!
We went here for a girls night. We really enjoyed the place. We arrived a bit late and we were flexible with our seating, but it took nearly two hours to get seated. We also told them that they put something wrong on our check and the waiter was rude to my guests and had an attitude about removing it. The customer service is what kills the spot. If they could work on it, it would be an outstanding experience. I would still go back, as the place is beautiful and the food is delicious and the drinks are very good.
I realize they are attempting to rebrand, they had only 3 wines .. total. Service staff untrained , unknowledgeable,
Slow, mismanaged, entertainment 45 minutes late. Worst thing is it's a Egyptian restaurant that served a Greek menu. While similar , they are not the same. The lamb chops were so heavily Spiced not seasoned but spiced as to make your tongue burn. All in all it was a bad joke but lots of fun to make fun of.
Absolutely an amazing experience! The food was the best Egyptian good I've ever had. Valerie, the belly dancer, was so entertaining and very interactive. We went for our wedding anniversary and fell in love with the place instantly. Such an intimate spot, we sat under a beautiful little tent with big comfortable seats. Be sure to get the groupon!!!!
This place is different, good different. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. I love the set up, aura was great, drinks were good but pricey. The down side is the food portion is a joke, I give more food to my four year old daughter. They should really consider putting more food on their plates. But overall it was a good experience.
What a wonderful place!! We went as group of 11 of mother-daughters. The staff accommodated our vegetarian needs and we left not feeling hungry. They also sat us at a beautiful location in the restaurant. Honestly, after eating there- the whole dining area is beautiful and wonderful. The food was delicious and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Everyone's favorite was the warm bread they brought out to eat with the dip. My favorite two dishes were the grape leaves and Mousaka. The bellydancer was wonderful and beautiful. She was very interactive and made her way around the table . I would love to go there again and try some of their other dishes.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Went there once before for a friend's birthday and then decided to bring some friends there for what was probably one of my favorite girls nights ever!!!! The food was delicious, staff was SUPER friendly, the ambiance was sexy, there was a little show for some unique entertainment, good vibes, and tons of fun! I can't wait to go back again!!!!!!
Thursday night birthday celebration , the restaurant was not crowded at all yet the service was veryyy slow, forever to get drinks to the table and to order food. The food it self was delicious and would be the only reason to come back, but disappointed on the wait staff
My husband and I have been enjoying Casa La Femme for eight years. We dine with them several times a year and always opt for the pre-fixed menu and the tented table. It has great ambiance, food, service, and entertainment. I would definitely recommend that you dine at Casa la Femme! See you Soon again ! :)
I was dissapointed, it has changed its more expensive, the tents are no longer a secluded tent. I ended up reserving one with no lighting. The lamb chops were overcooked and ohh!, before they gave you 4 chops now they give you 3. I booked for 7pm because the belly dancing was at 730. Ofcourse, no belly dancer simply because there were many empty tables. I decided to wait Up until past 930pm that the dancer finally came out for a quick 15min dance. I paid for the experience and it is way too overrated and overpriced. Its not what it used to be when they had it on the upper east side. I wont waste my money there anymore. Im done.
A little bit overpriced for our taste, we pay $54 for three drinks our dinner for two it was over $200 , that is a little bit too much . And the food wasn't that great, I order the fish Dorado and I thought comes with a side but didn't , but over all the belly dancer did a great job... we loved watching her dancing 💃🏻 😊
