Really really good food and a amazing belly dancer girl I piece we always came back when in NY
Terrible experience on Valentine’s Day. Took over an hour to get food. 45 minutes to get even a drink or water. It was noisy like a bad club. The main course was good. Overall really disappointing. It appears dated, the restaurant looks cheap, frayed tents that look like cheap polyester sheets on hula hoops. Not worth the money.
Everything was off that night. Waited an hour to get aeated with menus
Very poor service for Valentine's Day dinner. Waited 45 minutes past our reservation time to get seated. We were finally seated in the bar area instead of the main dining room, right against a window with a major draft. We were so cold we wore our winter coats the entire dinner. Asked multiple times to be seated elsewhere with no luck. Waited about one hour for our appetizer (hummus and pita bread) to arrive. Remaining courses also took forever. Asked for coffee/tea to warm up a bit but were told that they are not serving warm beverages tonight due to the large crowd. 3.5 hours and $200 later we are very disappointed. After all this they didn't even comp our nonalcoholic drinks from the bill. We did not expect 5 star service on a holiday evening, but this was really below average. This restaurant is completely unequipped to handle a crowd. Would not recommend.
Thee worst service I’ve ever had waited 45 mins for the food to come which was supposed to be fresh it was cold food and the prices and the wait is ridiculous
Horrible Valentine’s Day experience
We were 20 minutes early and still
Had to said 40 minutes. What seemed to be the Manager or Owner told us to Stan d and wait by the host stand and we will be seated next. They sat 3 table that came after us as we waited. Then reintroduced them selves as if we just walked in. That’s was how it began.. I don’t want to keep going but it got so bad we wanted to find another place s for the night. Horrible
Service was horrific. It took over 2 hours to get our food. No other table had to wait that long. And they did nothing to make up for that. Food has really slipped. Very unsatisfactory. Music way too loud for any conversation. A big disappointment.
Girls night ! So fun! Food was great!!
I did not have a good experience.
WHAT a FUN NIGHT! So happy Casa La Femme remains one of the most elegant Middle Eastern dining destinations in the United States. Having lived in NYC, and moved around the USA, we were pleasantly surprised to return to Casa La Femme and see that it has retained its high quality cuisine, with friendly service and superb food. We had fantastic service with Adam, our server, as well as other team members like Fatima. GM Amir greeted us like family. The belly dancer was excellent and entertaining. Loved the DJ and the mix of eastern/western music. The vibe is fun, hip, exotic. Food was tasty - especially the molokhya, grilled chicken, kofta, salads, and fatta (just like grandma's if you're Egyptian!) -- all incredible. Highly recommend Casa La Femme as a lovely "night out" that's festive AND delicious!
Pleasant experience our first visit. Attentive service in a beautiful room. Not familiar with Egyptian food so cannot compare, but everything we ate was delicious except the stuffed pita.
FANTASTIC!!! My Wife and I celebrated our Wedding anniversary and I must say it was amazing. We were seated quickly, and were treated like royalty.... We were informed of their prefixed meal which was outstanding, and their drinks were very good as well.... We were able to see there belly dancer performance which was fun for both us.
Would also like to thank the two individuals that made our time there a pleasurable one... Thank you La Femme for a fabulous experience....
My friends and I had a memorable experience at Casa La Femme! Delicious food, beautiful ambiance, great value, excellent service and a fun lively atmosphere, this restaurant checked all the boxes for us. We can't wait to return!
LOVE it! The food was AMAZING and the service was too! We plan to definitely go back.
OMG best service ever. I had my husband birthday dinner party. The food was excellent. Every one was please with their dinner. We had so much fun.
They ruined my father's birthday party, and gave seats outside the main area. Had bad service and not organized. Not recommended and do not go there!
Restaurant was Empty on a Friday evening!
The place didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. They were very unorganized.
We loved this place. Absolutely beautiful decor. We felt like we were in Morocco. The food was excellent and there was so much of it. It was priced really reasonably. We got the 3 course for $60 each. So much food. Go hungry. The service was good. Our server was so nice and very helpful to us because we had never eaten Egyptian Cusine. A belly dancer came around to our table ( which was a tent) and taught us how to belly dance and then danced for us for about 15 min. I highly recommend this place.
Fabulous!!! Best lamb chops on the planet
We arrived fifteen minutes early for our seating and were attended promptly. We opted for the fixed price dinner. The first course was standard appetizers, all very good. But, I don't eat eggplant so the waiter had the chef make me a curry yogurt and the babaganush went to my wife. Second course good. Third course; I had the roasted lamb, perfect! Seared on the outside and pink inside. Well seasoned and accompanied. My wife had the whole roasted fish. Overcooked and oversalted, but edible. Desert was excellent. Drinks, OK and expensive. The belly dancer new her moves!
Private party overtook restaurant but staff did best to handle our small party
Came here for our first anniversary and had an amazing dinner experience. The decoration is exotic and makes it great for a romantic dinner. I was hesitant to try the prix fix menu at first but ended up enjoying it. Although it is expensive, the food was very good and filling, we also got to see the belly dancer perform while we were eating. Service was awesome, the waiter we had did a very good job and was attentive to all our needs. We met owner on our way out and was very nice.
This is a very unusual restaurant and provides a very unusual dining experience by creating the feelung of actually being in the middle east. I recommend that you try it.
Was not worth the price for the food we received. The waitress was a bit all over the place and forgot many things we asked. Cool ambiance but that’s all.
This place is just incredibly beautiful with the most authentic Egyptian food to be found in New York. Whether you were coming here for business or pleasure or combination of both the service, atmosphere, food and people are spectacular. I highly recommend it. It is a regular for me
I love Casa La Femme for a girl's night out. The decor is warm and inviting, even if it's a bit over the top. The attention to detail is amazing, and the different rooms (including the restrooms) are beautiful. The service has been excellent each time I have dined, and the Prix Fixe Menu, which offers a variety of tasty food, has also been consistently good.
The food was incredibly good, but the rest of my experience was not good. They put us at the worst table in the place even though I made a reservation and there were plenty of nicer empty tables available (they told me these were pre fix tables only). The waitress was pleasant but spoke to us like we'd only eaten white bread all our lives and never tried another cuisine. And then they never filled our water glasses even though the restaurant was half empty. I cannot figure out what was going on- maybe they thought we were tourists and they could get away with this, or they had something against two women eating together without a man? Or we weren't dressed up enough for them? Again, the restaurant was beautiful and the food was really good, but I can never go back. I can't think of the last time I felt so insulted by how I was treated.
The service was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. DO NOT EAT HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY. The food was average and the music will put you to sleep. We had reservations at 8:30pm and we didn't leave until after midnight. The service was very slow and there weren't that many people in the restaraunt. The owner clearly had his favorite guests which we were not. We were ignored most of the night. Stay away from the terrible crabcakes, awful. The entire experience was underwhelming. The only highlight was the belly dancer who came out once. The owner is VERY RUDE. Again, save your money. When a waiter brought over a bottle we ordered, they asked if we wanted to open it? Who opens your own bottle. Dull knives weren’t even adequate for cutting the lamp chops. Drinks were terrible. We experienced the worse service ever. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Forgot to mention, we had to get up at least 15 times during the night to ask where our drinks were, the status of our food and why service was sooo slow. They placed us in the most dark section of the restaurant in the back. There were 2 candles on the table. I had to physically get up and take candles from other tables because it was so dark. This was probably one of the worst dinning experiences ever. Very sad since it was my best friends birthday we were celebrating.
