The specialty of the house is paella. My wife and I ordered the seafood paella and received what appeared to be a risotto. The signature element of a paella is the socorat, the crust on the bottom. This had none. There was an overabundance of seafood and rice. The paella for two would easily serve four. The rice was nicely flavored and the seafood was nicely done except for the lobster which was wooden. Disappointing for such a well reviewed restaurant.
I go here for my birthday most years. One of my favorite dishes is Lobster Thermidor and their's is the best in Miami-Dade. Also had a delicious seafood salad and a grilled octopus appetizer. The service was a bit on the slow side as a 3-course meal with no alcohol ran just under two hours. The restaurant has hand sanetizer stations throughout the dining area and all the servers wear masks.
Food was amazing but the service was out of this world ! Our waiter was truly the best so polite and knowledgeable!
I went for the Lobster Thermidor and even do is on the menu and advertised, I was told it wasn't available, so I supplemented albeit it defeated the purpose.
Food was very good. Wine was a great value. Love the ambience
This restaurant is one of the top restaurants in Miami. The food is always great.
Great spanish food and wine. Prices are high, according to their high quality of food and service.
Wonderful the seafood paella was out of this world !! Best paella in Miami !!!
Excellent service and delicious food, as allways! We will go again
Everything from the food to the service was excellent.
Como siempre muy buena comida...la paella impecable...hubo un problemita con el mesero..pero nada grave...por lo demas todo excelente
Excellent staff, familiar, muy amable.
Ambiente agradable y la comida con mucho sabor a España
AMAZING!! The service and staff were absolutely outstanding!
Paella was great, the place is different but nice, however there was no music to set the mood. No flamenco music, no Spanish music, nada! Music is very important, specially for a special occasion. I hope they change that and put more of effort in the ambience.
The restaurant was not busy yet the service was poor. Plates from appetizers were left on table we had to stack them on a corner of our table to make room for main course. Even then waiter did not remove plates. Rather not go on, needless to say I don't plan to return.
This was not my first experience dining at Casa Juancho. However, when I needed a restaurant for a special occasion, I could not think of a better selection - even though I had to drive 60 miles each way (120 miles round trip). The food is always magnificent. I know paella, and the paella at Casa Juancho is fantastic. Because we frequent this restaurant, we knew exactly what to expect - quality food and top notch service. The waiter staff is knowledgeable about all menu items and always extremely courteous and polite. And the mojito’s are amazing too! Casa Juancho again gets 5 stars in my book. Simply AMAZING!
Been going to this restaurant for over 20 years food is great, service excellent, ambiance super, always a great experience for us.
A most go!!! Service is amazing Now days is hard to find this kind of service. It was friendly, polite, caring, welcoming, knowledgeable. Food was divine and beautifully serve. We had the ham croquets, the fideuá ( it’s to die for), the Duck and and of course some Albariño Spanish white wine. Everything was just perfect. From the vale parking ,the servers, the decoration the food. It’s the whole Spanish experience.
They were out of the Bream Grouper and Snapper. I had Cod which was very chewy. My wife had the veal chop which was excellent. I.m not happy with what a lot of restaurants are doing which is bring you a CC reader and the only options for tip is a percentage with cone as high as 28% . I know times are tough for restaurant s but there are equally as hard on me. Also as far as I can tell the tip amount takes in the tax which in DC is 10%
The food is really good!! It’s hard to find tasty food in Miami. All the plates were excelent!
Outstanding service and tasty authentic Spanish flavors
Paella Marinera, tortillaq española, chistorras, todoooo es rico y una buena sangria
La comida deliciosa, excelente servio en general todo bien
Wanted their specialty “ Paella “. $72 for two ?
The quality of the rice was not the best
Seafood specially clams were minuscule and
Only a couple were used.
Ordered the ham croquettes and they were small
For the price that I was charged.
Totally overrated. I used to enjoy coming here.
Disappointed is an understatement. Had not been there in years. Definitely not as good as I remember. They were out of 3 of the appetizers we asked about. We finally ordered the "Manchego Viejo" and "Jamon Serrano". Both were very good but also overpriced. $14.00 for 5 slices of Manchego Cheese is, in my opinion, overpriced.
As an entree, I ordered the "Salmón al Albariño " that came with Creamed Spinach and boiled potatoes. I ordered a side of Espárragos Frescos Gratinados (Fresh Asparagus Au Gratin), ($8.00 for 5 asparagus spears). The salmon was very dry and bland, it really had very little taste. The creamed spinach was cold, and the asparagus was undercooked; the au gratin was hard and also cold, not creamy as it should be. The best part of the meal was the bottle of wine we ordered!
The service was mediocre, at best. The waiter seemed rushed and distracted. He never once came to the table during the meal to ask how everything was, or if we needed anything. We had to track him down through other waiters. Our water glasses were never refilled unless we asked.
Again, extremely disappointed. They most definitely did NOT live up to their reputation. Maybe they've been around so long and are so popular, that they have become complacent...big mistake! The restaurant was not even full. I can't imagine what it would have been like had the restaurant been busy.
I will not be returning to Casa Juancho any time soon and I can't, in good faith, recommend this restaurant. I have been to so many other Spanish/Mediterranean restaurants that are superior to Casa Juancho in every way.
Excellent customer service
We celebrated NYE with a low key dinner at Casa Juancho. Everything was very nice. The decor is lovely. The tables were socially distanced & servers wore masks. The food was really good. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves very much.
The best spanish restaurant in Miami, a must vist if you are in the area, try the Paella, we ordered one and it was cooked to perfection.
Glad Casa Juancho reopenned. Dinner last night was outstanding! Great service by the entire team, and our waiter Manuel.
Excellent as always. Service and food are top notch.
Awesome everything was as always amazing
Good quality and consistent every time.
The best ppl and the best food and service .. thank u
This place has changed drastically. They have reduced their menu and their wine list is not up to date. There is not enough waiters. They are forced to run around the restaurant and can’t fully attend all their tables. I am disappointed and unsatisfied with my experience. (Apparently after COVID hit there is no chicken, as they’ve taken it completely off the menu)
Muy buena atención , y muy buen ambiente , muy satisfechos
Place is 10/10 service and food is amazing
EXCELLENT FOOD! EXCELLENT SERVICE, COULD USE A BETTER ATMOSPHERE
