Particularly impressed by this place. A real gem. Great food. Nice wine selection. I’ll go back.
Always good and great staff
The food and service were excellent, as always. This is one of our favorite restaurants.
Casa Giuseppe does what no local family-owned business can do: that's provide consistent excellence in food, service, ambiance, and grace. It's a place for special occasions as well as a romantic bar scene for a late afternoon drink and appetizer. I can't think of another restaurant which has provided more consistent excellence than Casa Giuseppe, including those famous top 10 or 20 in New York. In fact, the last two times we spent our fortunes in the City, we regretted our choice. I've never regretted choosing Casa Giuseppe. Whether it's steak, Dover Sole, lamb, an appetizer or wine, the time and effort put into their selection of provisions, staff, presentation and service reveals relentless, untiring effort. Even my grandchildren enjoyed the night. I had to laugh when my 6 year-old ordered a plate of Parmagiano cheese for himself and out it came. It's not only the owners who are relentless, but the staff, as well. Casa Giuseppe accommodates your every whim.
Wonderful meal. Food and service were great.
First timers...lovely service. Everyone who greeted us and waited on us were very polite and professional. The spinach salad was awesome!! Both my husband and I had the stuffed calamari, which was delicious. Definitely a special occasion restaurant, as the prices are a little high. Would recommend for a special night out!
First time eating at Cafe Giuseppe . Appetizers , bread ,dessert were very good , did have a problem with one of the main course dishes , Tri Color Pasta with clams and crabmeat . It was ordered al dente and came out al mushy plus they forgot the crabmeat . We didn’t let the waiter know because we were in a hurry but 2 mistakes on one dish isn’t acceptable ! Overall a very nice restaurant and we will return !
Very friendly staff and great food.
Always very good
A real gem not to be missed. Real Italian run by real Italians who go to local farms for hand picked produce. Even pickle their own handpicked cherry peppers. Severs and busers who know them menu and the ingredients and who watch every table as it were theirs. Hard, if not impossible, to find a restaurant like this anywhere.
Food, wine, ambiance - perfect.
The food here is wonderful, service is good. If you come more than once you'll be remembered. You would never expect this level of experience in this location (it's safe, but not high rent) but there it is. Valet on weekends. The lounge was updated recently and it's lovely for a quiet pre-dinner cocktail.
Always great food and service
Will be back very soon
This was our first time eating here. It won't be our last. The experience was everything you hope to have when dining out. From their friendy welcoming, to the excellent service to the wonderful food, it really was one of our most enjoyable dining experiences.
Always a fantastic meal. The Osso bucco and stuffed Calamari are outstanding
One of the Italian gems in the State of New Jersey. Elegant but not stuffy and the staff and food are always top notch.
Food was amazing , staff is very friendly and quick to come over
Four of us had dinner on a Friday night, and we loved it. Food and service were great. Two of us had the Friday Date Night package for $99 including a bottle of red wine. A good value. I hope they keep doing that.
Considering it was Mother’s Day, they had their regular full menu with added specials. Great food, nice to know there’s a good restaurant close to home.
Although I have always heard great things about this restaurant, I had never been. However, upon walking I the door, they treat you like family. Very warm, making every patron feel special. Food was delicious, beginning with the hot and crusty bread.
There appear to be quite a few regulars, and I would be too if I lived in the area. I will, however make the trip back!
Good food, service, and atmosphere. Casa Guiseppe is always a great place to go to with friends, be able to talk and enjoy a good meal
Consistently great place to dine. Exceptional service.
This restaurant is overrated. There are better Italian spots in nearby Rahway like Luciano's and Amici. The seafood pasta lacks flavor and was nearly helped by salt, pepper and cheese. The baby octopus was very fishy and leaves a metallic taste on your tongue. Given that the food is pricy, we expect it to be better. Don't mind for paying food at that price as long as it's good. The one positive thing going for them is the courteous and attentive wait staff.
I loved our experience here. Very nice setting, attentive, food was delicious. I highly recommend it.
Fantastic food and service. Cozy place. Easy to get to. Highly recommend
Food delicious, service outstanding.
Every time we come we are treated like family! The food is incredible!!!
Had a Delicious pre-Valentine’s Day dinner. The salad, pasta & seafood dishes were excellent. The service was superb. Great wine list as well. It’s a neighborhood gem and we’re definitely going back.
Very nice restaurant with good food and excellent service.
Always great service and food. Nice small bar area.
Never disappoints. Service and food were wonderful!!
I really enjoyed dining here. The staff was very flexible in suiting special orders, too. Very good food and nice folks!
Food wasn’t cooked .. chicken was raw in the middle. had a reservation and still waited 45 minutes for a table .. barely saw the server and uncooked food took forever to come
Menu covers a wide range of options, from Fish to steak to great pasta (love the lobster ravioli) . Service is attentive without being there too much.
A great experience, you walk in and are promptly greeted - like family. Service is always consistently good, food is outstanding. We split a 4 cheese risotto with grilled chicken as an appetizer - delicious. Salmon for dinner was cooked perfectly and with great flavor. Chicken dish - never disappoints. And when departing- every customer is thanked on the way out. Highly recommend.
Ambiance and our meals were very good. However service needs to improve. Our waiter failed to mention one of the special entrees that my wife would have ordered. We had to call the manager or owner over after the waiter failed on two attempts to serve my wife decaf tea. He also failed to mention a dessert special that we ordered after we heard another waiter mention it to a nearby table.
A personal favorite of mine.
