Casa di Amore Ratings and Reviews
The lasagna was a let down. I always order lasagna when i go somewhere new to see if they do right by it or not and i felt they didn't. The cheese ravioli she ordered was good and the calamari was god but the main dish for me personally was a let down. There was no flavor profile or uniqueness to the flavor. It could've been frozen and I couldn't tell any flavor from it. Just blah and boring.
We have been going to Casa di Amore for years, even before moving to Las Vegas 12 years ago. The food is "simple" Italian done really well, but the wait staff has been stable and recognize regular customers. We have never been late night, but hear they rock it past sunrise. The clientele runs the gamut age-wise. It is usually busy and noisy in a good way, everyone is having a good time. We've never had to suffer through an adjacent conversation, the tables are not stacked in and crowded. It's old school, with Sinatra style music. George Bugatti is our favorite, but whoever is playing is enjoyable. We just love it here!
Casa Di Amore is an absolute favorite. Reservations are a MUST. Food is out of this world, wait staff have been there for many years and the, "welcome to my restaurant, glad your back" attitude is always there. Prices are fair but not cheap. Price is what you pay, Value is what you get. You'll get great value. You'll also be a bit squeezed in but not too bad. By NYC standards there's plenty of room. Live 1-2 piece musicians a bit loud but that's part of the ambiance. You'll never have anything but a great experience and like I said, the food is outrageously great!
My brother was visiting and I wanted to take him somewhere that had a "San Francisco" vibe. (we're from the Bay Area ). Casa Di Amore was exactly what we had hoped for. The food and service was beyond expectations. Extremely accommodating and friendly staff.
From the moment we walked in we were greeted and seated. Our waitress was great, she told us the specials and got our drink and appetizer orders out in great time. Both the lobster ravioli and the twice wrapped prawns were amazing. Our entrees came out in good time as well, we didn't wait to long but the timing was enough for us to enjoy the appetizers and wait a few minutes before digging into our entrees. Both the lead singer and the manager came over and congratulated us on our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be coming back. Oh and yes we had crème brulee for dessert and took home some cannolis' as well.
Actually found Casa di Amore as a result of looking for live music. Yes, there was live music... fun duo playing all the classic songs you'd expect to hear in an old school Italian restaurant. We had a 7 pm reservation but had to wait a bit for a seat as the place was slammed....always a good sign! We sat at the bar, played some video poker and had drinks. When we were seated our server immediately began to take care of everything that we wanted. We shared a plate or Lobster Ravioli - outstanding! For the entree, I had Veal Marsala, my brother had the Osso Bucco and my nephew had Cheese Ravioli with Meatballs. All dishes were outstanding!! We loved the food, the ambience, the music and the service. Excellent neighborhood place well off the Strip.
My family and I eat at Casa every time we are in Las Vegas. It is about 15 minutes off the strip, but the drive is worth it. It is like walking into Vegas 40 years ago. Live music, great Italian food and a full cocktail menu, superb service from Tony ( ask for Tony) all at an off strip price make it a "Have To Go To" every trip. I recommend it highly.
Hole in the wall looking place as far as curb appeal. Had a 6:45 reservation, however, didnt get seated until about 7:30. Finally got seated and Didnt receive a greeting from a waiter for another 10 minutes. Waiter was a nice gentleman but was u able to suffice customer needs in a timely fashion, possibly indicative of understaffing from management. The food was delicious and overpriced. Would only come here on a special occasion, with the stipulation that service be corrected and not making people wait whrn they have established a reservation prior to arrival.
7:15pm reservation (showed up early), didn't get seated until almost 8pm. A table of 12 with a 7:30pm got seated before us. Needless to say, I was angry; however, our waiter turned our whole experience around. The food was delicious and the entertainment was enjoyable.
Again, this is a place that has live entertainment and when it's packed - it can be VERY loud.
I still recommend to go check it out, but expect to not be seated on time. Once you get past that hiccup... you'll enjoy everything this place to offer.
I loved this restaurant from the first time I was there several years ago. This time it was a group of 6 and the only reason I indicated less than 5 stars on "overall" is because we were a party of 6 when we got our individual bills (3 bills for 6 people as requested) on the bottom of the bill(s) was stamped in red "20% gratuity has already been included" - no problem, but when we gave our individual credit cards for payment, the slip to sign had a "Tip" line and then "suggested" various tip amounts. Now if we didn't pay attention, it was likely a double tip would have been given which all in our party felt was a sneaky way of getting more money. Some in our group said they'd never come back, etc., etc. However, I as indicated have loved this restaurant ever since my first visit and this incident won't stop me from coming again -- anything ordered has always been WONDERFUL!!! Highly recommended but watch your billing, especially if a party of 6 or more but with individual or coupled billings.....otherwise enjoy!
Casa Di Amore is a gem just a few miles east of the Las Vegas strip! Although other reviews had claimed the place was very tired, I did not notice that at all. I noticed recent improvements to the decor and overall it was really nice. Athough it was a Monday night, the place was packed. Glad I made a reservation! It was just the two of us and most couples seem to be seated in the bar area. Our server, apparently a backup bartender, was fantastic! Very personable and friendly with a great attitude. She shared that she was a customer for many years before working there. We had the Chicken Parmesan and Penne in Vodka Sauce and both were very flavorful. I noticed a bit of spice in the Vodka sauce but nothing very hot. I am not a spicy food lover and still enjoyed it immensely. We finished the great meal with a Spumoni with a chocolate shell, delicious. The duo playing old school music was very enjoyable! Thanks for the live music and great food!!
Such a wonderful place for a great meal off the strip. The service is spectacular and friendly. We never felt rushed to finish our meal and were able to enjoy conversation and the talented singers; at times wanting to sing along to Sinatra’s greatest hits. We will definitely be backs!
Our 2nd trip to Casa di Amore - the food as before was excellent! The only downside was even though we made reservations well in advance, we were kept waiting for over an hour as they had a wedding party going on and the restaurant was jammed packed. We had hoped they would have at least offered complimentary drinks or something once we were seated, but alas, not! Hint: in the future, if you have such a large party, maybe limit the other reservations so that other parties aren't waiting endlessly.
