Casa D'Angelo - Boca Raton Ratings and Reviews
Just an absolutely lovely dinner. Specials were delicious and service attentive and knowledgeable. Very considerate of my food allergies and prepared my meal accordingly for which I am always grateful. The valets were also helpful with my mom who is on a wheel chair.
We were there New Years eve so the place was crowded and loud. We sat outside, and it was stuffy at first and got better as it cooled outside. The food and service were first rate as usual. Other than for some obnoxiously loud guests, we enjoyed the evening.
Great service, great ambiance.
The server was very accommodating of our 4 year old that we brought for dinner. Although they do not have a children’s menu, he was able to accommodate her (picky) food needs.
While the wine list is very extensive, we ultimately selected a bottle from the owners recommendation, and were very impressed.
The only was the food well presented, it was very delicious and served at perfect intervals.
We had a wonderful night at Casa D’Angelo and look forward to visiting again soon.
The restaurant was so noisy that it was difficult to have any conversation. The tables were packed in so that it was difficult to move around the room which added to the din. The service was very slow. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Oslo Bucco, which according to our waiter was the best thing on the menu. It was tough and pretty tasteless. I will not be returning.
For the first time we were disappointed. My veal pizzaiola was a dumping of boiled scalopinis in a plate drenched with tomato sauce. No taste save for the tomatoes. Did not finish my plate halfway through. For the price paid it was not worth it.
My wife had the osso bucco which was good but at a price of 48$ (ask your waiter for the price of specials BEFORE you order) and stuffed zucchini flowers at 22$ this restaurant is reaching higher levels of stratospheric prices and unfortunately the quality of the food is not going up with the prices but rather the other way.
We had Christmas Eve Dinner here and we had never eaten here before. We were so excited to go here and then we were so disappointed. We were waiting for our table and sat at the bar and had some drinks and it was so hot!!! The guys were all in sport coats and sweating !!! We had 5 people so we asked the waiter for another order of bruschetta and he never brought it. So we asked the guy that brought it the first time if we could get more and he Never brought more either. We also asked for more bread and oil olive and never got that. Never got the olive oil. It was like they were too busy to care about each table or give give service to each table. I was so embarrassed in front of my guests of the poor service. The place was packed and our table was outside.
Maybe it is unfair because it was Christmas Eve and it was very crowded, but the food was mediocre and the service was slow. They did not put bread or water on the table (although they did put a small plate of bruchetta and olives). Was not as great as everyone claims, there are plenty of great Italian restaurants in Boca, this wasn't one.
First impressions are everything so when our waiter arrives at the table to greet you and the first thing you take note of is that he smells of cigarette smoke, well, I start losing my appetite. I don't know why more restaurants, particularly those who hold themselves out to be "fine dining" experiences simply don't impose a strict non-smoking policy for their employees, particularly the dining room staff. When I go out to a nice, upscale establishment where I drop about $350 -$400 for a meal, the last thing I want is to smell even the faintest hint of cigarettes as it sets the tone for the entire meal. Service was very good though. Food, well, I would say just OK. Arugala Salad, unimpressive. The calamari however was excellent. Several at the table had pasta and found it "bland". I had the Grilled Swordfish and frankly, was less than impressed. Although the grilled flavor was good, the portion was on the small side (quite thin) and the grilled vegetables that accompanied were also bland with very little or no seasoning whatsoever. Desserts weren't bad (tiramisu and ricotta cheesecake) though the chocolate cake was equally unimpressive.
Absolutely the finest Boca Italian restaurant. Starts with impeccable service, awesome specials and one of the few Boca restaurants whereas the management ( Paula ) always greets you and checks every aspect of your meal.
Our go to restaurant in Boca.
Make sure you try the Veal Chop. OMG!!
Spectacular food and service. Every time we visit Boca Raton, we make dinner reservations at Casa DA. The food is always prepared beautifully and plated well. There are many options to choose from with a nice array of daily specials. We enjoy being seated in the wine room because it tends to be a bit more quiet. Great food, great wine, great vacation.
Have not been here for a few years. We were disappointed.
The ceaser salad was made with arugala instead of romaine. It was not crisp or cold.
Anchovies that were requested on the side were never served. Veal scallopini was not tender. A side of pasta was overcooked and starchy.
On the plus side, our reservation for a party of 5 was honored. The decor was updated and attractive.
Sincerely hope Casa D’angelo returns to it’s former quality
