Casa D' Angelo Ratings and Reviews
Caught early dinner before a show. Enjoyed the outdoor seating area this time. The food has been much better than this last visit. I had the pasta special, which was a bit too al dente and my partner had the bolognese that was overcooked. I will continue to recommend and will return regardless of this last experience.
I was surprised how delicious the food was at this restaurant. The portions were ample and the service was professional. The atmosphere was so festive for a Tuesday night. The branzino was perfectly prepared and the prawns were delicious. We just had a wonderful time and will certainly be back. This is truly a gem!
My wife had truffle pasta and absolutely loved it. My risotto was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The wine selection is great. The only critic would be that service was great at first but once the place got crowded it changed towards the slow and less attentive. However, great experience overall.
My wife and I stayed at the Fort Lauderdale beach area for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. On our last night there, we went to Casa D'Angelo for dinner. We frequently dine at Angelo Elias in Parkland, but had never been to Casa D'Angelo. It was extraordinary! They clearly pay attention to details, whether it is the quality of ingredients, the excellent service or the food preparation. Since it was our anniversary, we asked the waiter if he could take a couple of photos. He took us into the wine room for some nice photos.
Decided to try out this place on a Saturday night. We had a 9pm reservation and were running about 10 minutes late due to the rain from Philippe. We did call ahead and let the hostess know. Upon arriving, our table was not ready and it was suggested that we wait in the bar. We decided to order drinks and in less than 10 minutes, our table was ready. Our server, Hector, even carried our drinks over from the bar for us. The restaurant was completely crazy busy and very noisy. Reminded me of going out in NYC. We ordered off the specials' menu and it did NOT disappoint! Some reviewers complained about the prices....our meal did not cost anything out of the ordinary for a better restaurant. If you want great food, yes, sometimes it may cost a little more.
Everyone was dressed nice and there was a nice combination of couples, families and groups of friends out for the night. Hector took great care of us and the food was fantastic! Do not let the fact that they are located in a strip mall deter you from trying this place out. It was well worth it!! If you do not like loud restaurants with little personal space, then this is not the place for you. My husband and I went here for a date night and absolutely enjoyed the vibe, food, drinks and service at this establishment. We have definitely found our new favorite Italian place!
We had an amazing dinner with our sever Aba! The appetizer Gamberi Mamma was extraordinary and the lasagna was also incredible. Our party of 8 enjoyed all their meals. Thank you Angelo and Denise for the wonderful experience and warm hospitality. We will definitely be back!
Loved it. Food was great quality
We eat out every night and we are from New York City. We eat out at a lot of high end restaurants. I was impressed with the food and the service. From the maître d’ to the waiters and bus boys
Not over priced. Good portions
If I lived in Florida I would eat there 3 nights a week
They made u feel at home. They didn’t rush us
My date and I were very pleased with everything at Casa d'Angelo.
The food was perfectly cooked, at the temperature requested, our server Samuel took care of us very well, and his wine suggestion was on point.
Oh! And the tiramisù? Mamma mia!! An absolute delight!
Overall I highly recommend this restaurant, even tho it's on the pricey side. Sometimes it's worth the money to be treated like royalty, and please our taste buds!
I took my wife here for her birthday - I indicated in the online reservation that was the occasion, however, even though the restaurant was not crowded we were led to a table in a corner next to a table with 3 young children. they were well behave but it took away from the birthday celebration for us. Too bad...will not return for a while until they get it right.
Casa D'Angelo never disappoints. From the moment you are greeted by Larry at the podium and later by Chef Angelo himself, it is a wonderful experience. Food is delicious and service spot on.
One of the best in the country. Martino was attentive, informed and professional.
They have a great selections of wines, pages and pages of wines. I guess you can bring your on wine or buy at the wine store they have next door and pay $35 for the cork service, not bad
They have great wines at the monthly specials, $80 for a great bottle of Belle Gloss Pinot Noir from the Clark &Telephone winery was great
We had the polpetta&salsiccia a combination of 3 meats in a huge portion of meatball with a home made Italian Sussage with a great natural tomato sauce and eggplant is a great way to start.
I love pasta and Italian sausage so I did the Rigatoni Norcina, a velvety creamy tomato sauce (one of the best I've ever had) with a combination of fresh wild mushrooms and pieces of Italian sausage with a great fennel and spices, what a dish! You can not go wrong with this
My wife ordered the seafood pasta in tomato sauce with a gluten free pasta, the pasta was delicious with a good combination of shells, a big prawn and a quite large lobster tail.
To ende the gelatos are ok
Great place, not cheap but great value for the whole experience
Waiting to comeback soon to FLL
Meal was overall good. However, I ordered as my main course the pasta with porcini mushrooms and it was very poor. The plate arrived with tossed pasta- zero mushrooms and I mean zero. In addition and this is unusual for Casa D’Angelo, the portion was small. I sent it back. The 2nd attempt was better-lots of mushrooms and a good portion. However, the dish was bland. I don’t recommend it. Otherwise, they did a good job.
Excellent service, from the host meeting us at the door to the sommelier helping us to pick a bottle of wine, we were attended to very well. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and the food was truly great. We chose all specials for starters and main and we were both very pleased. I would highly recommend.
