A Home Run Dinner Experience! The Fish is Terrific. We will be back soon.
We very much enjoyed our server Sandro. Made our evening very enjoyable.
Waiter never asked if we needed more drinks and checked on dinner when we were almost done
Had a very underwhelming experience at this place. Our waiter wasn't interested in making us welcome by providing a plate of cheeses, as is their custom at this restaurant.
We were seated next to a very loud group (both sides actually) and the waiter was just lousy.
Excellent - from start to finish!
Food was on point. Ambiance upscale casual and unpretentious, nice clientele. Edward our waiter was marvelous. He was knowledgeable and made for a fine dining experience.
As always the the food, ambience and staff are great. I eat at Casa di Angelo at least when i visit the area. My only slight critisism is the fact thT nearly everthi g co tains cheese, which im allergic to. In the past tbey jave prepared dishes ezpecially for me minus the cheese. Sadly this time they said they werr to busy.
It's always a special treat to dine at Casa D' Angelo. Everything about our night out there was wonderful. The food was fabulous as was the service. The new expansion was so nice and made the restaurant look so much more inviting. We look forward to dining there again in the very near future.
Very good experience
Love food 😘🙏
Pastas were excellent. Monkfish special was terrible. Very expensive.
Been coming to Lauderdale since 2000. This is not only the finest restaurants in the area but ranks in my top five of all time. It’s not just an Italian Restaurant. The food / variety is outstanding. Service exquisite. They have remodeled so now you can enjoy the bar area before or after your meal. Don’t miss your opportunity to enjoy this fine dining.
Excellent from start to finish.
Sat us early and everything was excellent!
A Wonderfull Evening, 5* Star Meal, Wines over the top, and we will be back next week with friends. Wow.....What a Restaurant!
Excelente servicio y cocina
There's lots of reasons to come to this restaurant. It's great for business dinners, everyday dining and special occasions. The food is consistently fresh and deliciously. There's a variety of options for every type of diet. The new decor is divine.
Our second visit on a vacation to Ft Laud. My husbands experience wasn’t as good as our last but I loved it. Our waiter got one of our salads wrong and his main course not excellentp. Food is tremendous. Authentic menu and serve staff. You’d never know you’re in a strip mall restaurant. I love the place. Not sure I’ll get the hub to go back. Shared a salad, app, 2 main courses, shared a spectacular tiramisu , 2 coffees, 2 drinks each, bill $190. I say worth it.
Wonderful dinner experience!
Outstanding meal every single time. Waiters and staff are phenomenal. Food is fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is lovely. One of the best restaurants ever.
We love love casa d’angelo! It’s quickly becoming our favorite spot in lauderdale. The staff and food are phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Disappointing! Never got a water refill. Never was asked if I wanted another glass of wine, Ordered the branzino that was a "special for the evening" and it came out on a plate that had the fish in a watery liquid with three sliced Roma tomatoes. Ten minutes later a server came with a small bowl of three brussels sprouts and a few roasted potatoes. Since the two-top next to me was empty, it was a perfect place for a diner to have a loud cell phone conversation. The waitress had absolutely no personality, but she seemed very busy.
Should have gone to Cafe Vico
The food is always so creative and fresh...I️ go here every time I’m in Ft Lauderdale...wine list exceptional!!
There were 4 of us dining and we had not seen each other in over a year. We had a perfect table in the back corner, and the noise level was very low - even though the restaurant was filled to capacity. Our waiter, Carl, made this wonderful restaurant an even better place to dine. Everything about this place is excellent; thanks, Carl, for making our evening memorable; we will be back soon.
Definitely a place for fine dining.....waiters were very helpful and informative. Did not feel rushed at all -overall atmosphere was very nice.
A well known, well regarded Italian restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale, Casa D’Angelo has a robust following; reservations are highly recommended.
We arrived for our early 6PM reservation (we were going to the Gershwin show at The Parker Playhouse), and the restaurant, which offers indoor/outdoor seating was beginning to get busy. By the time 7 rolled around “the joint was jumpin’”.
Upon our arrival, we were promptly seated, water glasses filled and our server, Samuel, came over to help us with the menu and recite an extensive “specials” list.
We started with 2 special appetizers.
The Grilled Octopus (those that read my reviews know I love octopus). This was an exceptional preparation – with a delicious grilled flavor, it was cooked slightly charred to tender perfection.
We also enjoyed the delicious Zucchini Blossoms stuffed with mascarpone cheese and prosciutto, lightly deep fried – in a word, remarkable.
For his entrée my partner ordered a menu mainstay – Costoletta Milanese – a breaded, pounded-thin Veal chop, fried topped with an arugula salad. A+++
I ordered the Branzino, a mild tasting fish, prepared in a light tomato sauce with olives and capers (Livornese style). The fish was most flavorful and cooked to perfection. With it, I enjoyed a side of Rapini – an Italian green with a rather bitter flavor. I grew up on it, so it’s delicious to me. Perhaps not for everyone’s taste.
After 2 Double Espressos, we were on our way to the show.
Casa D’Angelo is well-worth a visit.
Wonderful, delicious dinner in a lovely elegant environment with great wait staff.
Overall it was good however the mushroom pasta needed about a ton of Parmesan because otherwise it was tasteless. The shrimp pasta was ok. Better than the mushroom pasta for sure. The eggplant appetizer was way mushy and the flower appetizer was mostly all batter. The wine selection is superb
I have been waiting for a long time to get up the dosh to visit the lead restaurant of Chef Elia.
We had tried his newest restaurant offerings and were nervously anticipating this flagship of his would live up to his superb reputation. And we were not disappointed. The rooms however are noisy; and the tables for two are crowded together. I worry the restaurant is geared more toward expense account or conventioneers chatter than romantic dining. But not too bad. The service was delightful. Attentive and helpful. Very quickly a small amuse-bouche of onion Pizza and Bruschetta arrives.
Our mains split the large bone-in grilled veal chop --perfectly cooked to our liking and tasty. The kitchen shared it well and each was plated with a small artichoke. Our pasta was a freshly made Pappardelle in a porcine mushroom Ragu. Very light. balanced and tasty, the sauce not overpowering the mushroom flavors; Dessert was a nice portion of fresh blueberries and strawberries in a fresh sabayon (custard). Fantastic.
The wine list is gigantic. Need a week to just turn all the pages. There are many a pricey wine —the back wall of the inner room attests to the sizable cave on hand—yet you can find good value in some of the categories. Our waiter was very helpful in discussing our selection.
At our exit, an extra was to be greeted by Chef Elia. Always good to see the chef interested in seeing what’s going on outside of his kitchen!
Hopping spot in Ft Lauderdale perfect for a group or a fun dinner for two.
