Food continues to be superb...just pricy. We travel from Boca Raton to Ft. Lauderdale because THIS Casa is better than the boca location
SUPERB AS. USUAL . PERFECTION !
Great food as always! Waiter was adequate but lacking in serving etiquette - reaching across my wife and I with a tray of drinks and with the food! Also the wine was served the same way - is it too much to step around the table! His interactions and availability were quite limited. Disappointing for an upscale restaurant.
Will think twice about returning...
Casa D'Angelo was recommended to me by a friend, and said to be sure and make reservations. So the next time I was in Florida I did, and was NOT disappointed! The service was superb as well as the meal, drinks, and ambiance. I will definitely be back again, and hopefully will be able to get in when we are there "In Season". A must go to when in Fort Lauderdale area.
Thanks to the entire staff for another great social and dining experience
Always great food and service, they are popular for a reason.
My husband and I frequent Casa D'Angelo quite often and it never disappoints. Do not let the location fool you. Yes, it is located in a strip mall but as soon as you walk in, you are transported to a trendy spot in NYC.
By chance, we ended up with Christian as our server several months ago and now we request him every time we dine. The food is ALWAYS outstanding, service amazing and drinks fabulous.
I highly recommend reservations for a Friday or Saturday night.
The restaurant had great food and friendly service. The food portions were big too. We had a great time and will definitely go back.
I HAVE BEEN TO THIS RESTAURANT SEVERAL TIMES. THEY DO A TERRIFIC JOB! ONLY THING WAS , I GUESS A REGULAR CAME TO THE TABLE NEXT TO US AND WAS ASKING FOR THE LIGHT OVER HIS TABLE LOWER. THE WAITER FUSSED TOO MUCH OVER HIM AND WAS ADJUSTING THLIGHTS AND IT GOT BRIGHT THAN DARK AND BRIGHT AGAIN. STAY THE COURSE, YOU HAVE A GREAT RESTAURANT . THE LIGHTS ARE ADJUSTED FOR THE TIME OF DAY AUTOMATICALLY. DON'T LET ONE CLIENT DICTATE AND INTERRUPT EVERYONE'S EXPERIENCE.
The restaurant has been remodeled since I was there two years ago and looks amazing. The food and
service was awesome. Will return again the next time I am in Ft Lauderdale. One of my favorites.
Excellent food, wonderful service ( Thank you Aba for taking care of us on our anniversary) . Simply a great place. Anytime again!
This place was recommended to us by another couple staying in the same hotel. The food was amazing, cooked to perfection. Portion size was spot on, not too much, not too little. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Sommelier Elkin recommended a fabulous wine. Dessert was delicious - and they even decorated my cannoli for our anniversary! Couldn’t have asked for a better evening!
Boca Raton’s Casa D’Angelo is far superior to this location. We aren’t in a hurry to go back to this one.
everything was so great. the atmosphere was beautiful and the food was amazing. Service was top notch! Can not wait to go back!
Love the restaurant. Love Edward. Amazing restaurant and service and know well always have a great experience.
The server was excellent and it was a pleasure as usual.
The food was amazing! The waiter was great but he seemed more worried about the table next to us than us. We received the food almost immediately after ordering so it felt a little rushed. The waiter never came back to ask for another drink. I mentioned the occasion was a birthday and recoveries no special attention. This was frustrating as the table next to us received a candle and attentive desert serving simultaneously. I would still come back for the food but the whole evening felt rushed.
I was looking forward to this restaurant as the final meal on my visit to Ft Lauderdale, however I was left quite disappointed. It started with an attempt to seat us directly next to the front door in what seemed like a bar area (we were on reservations so not really appropriate to try to seat us at an inferior table) however we were promptly moved to the main dining room. Our server (stated his name was Aaron) wasn't able to accurately describe the daily specials (we learned quite a bit more when another party was seated next to us with a different server). The cocktails were good (Basil Hayden's Old Fashioned and Grey Goose Martini) along with the complimentary bread plate. Things then started to go downhill. The Rucola Insalata was OK but the Burrata was a bit of a mess - a giant ball of Burrata sitting on top of an olive tapenade with a couple of slices of prosciutto. It just didn't seem to be proportional. The special Ribeye (initially described as bone-in) arrived without bone, an uneven cook (overcooked at edges, undercooked in the middle, mainly due to an uneven cut) and some pretty tough gristle running through the middle. Aaron did check in shortly after the meal arrived and it was pointed out that the bone and temperature were off but we were going to try to work with it. He came over a minute or two later trying to take the meat (only) away for it to be further cooked but he was refused. At the end of the main course we did explain that we weren't entirely satisfied with the meal and all Aaron did was just look at us and didn't try to apologize for the mistake. He in fact never tried to apologize for the meal (not the first time when he tried to swipe the meat, not near the end either). It was quite uncomfortable as I would have expected that he would have at least said he was sorry that it was disappointing. It was by far the most expensive dinner out on vacation (came in at $265 for two) and we left feeling unappreciated.
Great meal. Delicious food. Attentive service. Keep using open table for those certificates that we used for dinner this time as well.
Nice big portions. Tortoloni was superb. AND the tuna tartare was one of the best I ever had. My husband had a fantastic Caesar salad and chicken parmigiana.
Can’t wait to go back!!
Excellent! Enjoyed the dinner and look forward to the next time! Missed seeing Angelo as he was on vacation.
Delightful ! Will go again! Highly recommend not inexpensive but worth every dime- food, service, and attention to detail was delightful !
The service was excellent and the food was outstanding.
My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for many years and I highly recommend Casa d’Angelo.
Great food, service and ambiance! Will go again.
Always a great experience.
My first meal in Fort Lauderdale was at Casa d'Angelo. The carpaccio of beef was incredible. Service was impeccable - informative, helpful but not intrusive. Highly recommended.
The complimentary bread was a delicious start. Exceptional service, and atmosphere combined w good food!
Great food along with great service and friendly staff!
Definitely recommend trying their amazing food and best wine selection!
This is our favorite Ft Lauderdale restaurant. We visited in April and again in June. The veal is outstanding either picatta or pizziola, as was the yellowtail snapper. The chopped house salad is big enough for two and delicious.
Never disappointed whenever I frequent this fine establishment.
Been here before, will be back again!
We go there twice during our stay in Fort Lauderdale . All of the servers are wonderful. we have become friendly with Edward, so we request his section. If he is not there we get somebody else. Food is spectacular service is amazing. You are never rushed.
This is my go to place for special occasions. I always look forward to the "specials" that the chef has prepared or the evening. It never disappoints and the service is exceptional.
Perfect! Food was delicious and the service was amazing. Very attentive. They came to our table like three times to ask us how the food was and if we needed anything else. Would definitely recommend to anyone celebrating a special occasion. Desert was amazing and they even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert for us. I love this place!
Our favorite spot when we visit Fort Lauderdale! Always consistent!
Always consistent with great service and food!
Excellent like always
Pasta was exceptional. Some of the best in Town.
The portions have gotten considerably smaller since my last visit. I had the seafood pasta $48 and it included one shrimp, incredibly small clams and a nice sized lobster tail. The small salmon portion was “fishy”. The portion was served in what appeared to be an appetizer bowl. The pasta portion was small and the red sauce was unremarkable with little flavor. I’ve been eating here for years but I am motivated to try other Italian restaurants now.
We had a long layover in FT Lauderdale. We found Casablanca d’Angelo online, booked table and took UBER to restaurant. We may have looked travel weary. The host/hostess were gracious. The Sommelier was fabulous assisting with wine choices on the enxtensive menu. And Aba (our waitress) was beyond fabulous. Her recommendations and attention to detail we’re impeccable. Six at our table and each meal a special order (based on her suggestions). The meal was Divine. The Ravioli and Gnocchi meted in your mouth. I wish we had a Casa d’Angela near us. Don’t be put off by the strip mall location.
Thank you for two excellent dining experiences at your bar this past weekend, I will be back and highly recommend your place. Personable and attentive service from all including hands on owner. Bravo!!
