Classy atmosphere. Attentive waiter. I had special of home made ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta. Husband had veal scallopini. Probably spelled that wrong. Service was too quick. Got our cocktails and within 5 minutes got our food. Every table was filled by 7 pm. May go back but not soon. Wine list was 60 pages long. Just seemed too crowded and impersonal.
Overall was great but didn’t realize outdoor seating was essentially the parking lot. Family of 4 and sat in the smoking section, unaware and was not told, they did move the smoker (apparently a regular) but was awkward and could have been prevented.
A busy Sunday night before President's Day brought us to this what was at one time, a vacation favorite. We were seated quickly with a reservation. A generous cocktail was followed by two small pieces crostini with bruschetta a few olives and two pieces of Italian cheese, all very tasty. Two specials, one pasta with seafood was dull and average. The pasta was accompanied by one small lobster tail, two clams, one shrimp and one scallop. Really? The stuffed pork chop special was a good size, tender but overly salted. And it was accompanied by three brussel sprouts and three quarters of salty roasted potato. The chopped salads were good but for the price, should have been more plentiful. Expensive, average quality is a not a recipe for a return visit.
Everything was perfection!
Excellent service and the food is fantastic!
Abba was a GREAT server. She was so attentive and explained the dishes and made great recommendations for appetizer and dessert. Food was awesome as usual.
Excellent experience. Very accommodating.
Rushed from the minute we were seated.
Valentines Day Dinner celebration and of course being on a Friday Casa D was packed. Our two entrees, Veal Chop and Striped Bass was exceptional
Casa d‘Angelo has long been one of our favorite restaurants in lauderdale, until recently. Our past three visits have been extremely disappointing. The service at the outside tables is very slow and frustrating. Our most recent evening we were seated at a lousy table (inside) tucked away and watched everyone get their dinners and finish long before ours even delivered. While our servers were nice and apologetic, this is our third very disappointing visit to casa d’angelo. We have spent quite a lot of money at this restaurant and also have hosted a large private event. What a bummer.
It was a lovely evening treating my 88 year old mother for Valentine’s Day!
Incredible service ......unbelievable wine selection! The sommelier was outstanding. The food was exceptional
Excellent meal , waiter and service
Food and service were excellent. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because their bathrooms lack of a baby changing station. I had to go to my car to change my baby's diaper in the middle of our dinner.
Our reservations were for 845 pm and we arrived at 840 and checked in. Online and in person I confirmed outdoor seating. 45 minutes later we finally were summoned and taken to an indoor table. After some scurrying around, we were moved outside. That all portended the poor service for the entire evening. Wrong dishes, no silverware, refused to serve a pasta course. (“Pasta is better as a side,” our waiter insisted!) Food was ok but nothing special. Service was dreadfully slow. Our server had the audacity to say it was because we were “so late” without acknowledging it took 45 minutes from our reservation time to be seated. They sent free dessert, but I don’t care about free dessert. I want a great experience and evening. This wasn’t just our table. Next to us, a couple seated at 1030 after waiting 30 minutes at the bar finally left at 1115 when no food appeared. This was my third visit over 4-5 months. Too many other places in Fort Lauderdale. We won’t be back.
I visit here every time in Ft Lauderdale. Oslo bucco on Saturday night always fabulous. Love the bread plate with olives, brucshetta and cheese.
The server made us feel very rushed to order and be done with our meal.
Orato is a fantastic fish as is all their other dishes!
Fabulous as always
Wonderful dinner Never disappoints lamb Chops are sooooooo amazing. Best ever. Dino best Waiter delicious
If there were 6 stars for food and service they would get it. Our waiter Ed is the best!
Great night with my children and grandchild
Our favorite meal in Fort Lauderdale! Service, food, wine, and ambiance were all exceptional. We can’t wait to go back.
Luciano was amazing. We dined with the owner of the Chiefs here for Superbowl 54 and they were very impressed! Nice to have a private room and excellent suggestions from the menu by Luciano and his staff. Cant wait to come back and visit!!
Have been a diner at Casa D’Anglo for years. This is the first less than stellar comment I have ever written on them. I ordered a wedge salad split for two. What was brought out was a shredded plate of lettuce. When I asked the waiter, he told me that that is the way they prepare a wedge. I sent mine back and they brought out several lettuce leaves with dressing. My fellow diner just asked them to take his salad back and not replace it with one like mine. Bad enough, the restaurant didn’t even adjust the bill. The dinner for four was almost $400 dollars, which would have been fine, but the salad left a bad taste.
My only complaint was the price for a glass of wine
Have dined at this restaurant on several occasions - it never disappoints. Food and service are
The food was not hot when we got
We’d been to casa d’angelo in Aventura the week before and food was delicious.
Truly a great place. It's a real dining expierance I need to go more often!!
Old world level of service and dining. Very attentive staff. Food was outstanding
Fantastic dining. Great service. The chicken parm is phenomenal.
Always an amazing experience !
This place is fantastic. The service was fantastic and the food and wine were as well. Way better than most Italian spots in Fort Lauderdale
Very personable staff from the beginning. Great food, great service. Was a great find for us via OpenTable app. A must restaurant for tourists who don't need a great view, just desire a very authentic Italian dining experience.
This place is definitely overrated. Flavorless food. Everything - the Caesar salad, steamed mussels and Pasta Nere, were so bland. The bartender didn't know how to make a Smoked Old Fashioned. Hard to believe in a place like this.
The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The servers were professional and attentive. My husband thought it was one of the best wine list he saw. We had the veal scaloppine and although it was good it was very salty. We love to order pappardelle so we ordered the mushroom pappardelle dish and found it lacking sauce and not one we would reorder. I enjoyed that it seemed like a restaurant that was consistently good and people came to celebrate or enjoy a special evening.
I love coming here...The food is beyond outstanding..true authentic Italian food..Or waiter was fantastic..and I love when my guy talks to our waiter and orders in Italian..
Dinner with my husband on our first night of vacation! We came to Casa D’Angelo in March 2019 and it was phenomenal food and service! Our visit had a lasting impression that we couldn’t wait to go back! Tonight the food and service was just as wonderful as we remembered! 5 star in our book! Appetizers, dinner, dessert, wine...reasonably priced!
From the moment my wife and I arrived, until the conclusion of our dinner, we were made to feel welcomed. The service was outstanding, as was the food and drink. The staff was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. We could not have had a nicer experience. Javier was our primary waiter and he was excellent.
Fabulous...the food, the wine and the service were all impeccable. Don't miss this one!
