Dined at Casa Bella many times. We were never disappointed. Always great food and service. Closing of Casa Bella will be a great loss for us. Best of luck to the Avila family and staff on their future endeavors.
This was the first time we were there, it was a recommendation, and we thought it was very good. Everything was very fresh tasting. The portions were just right and we left well satisfied. We would definitely dine there again.
The food was very good, however, we ordered fried calamari and it never came.
As usual the food was terrific. We have taken many friends here, all have loved it. If your looking for some delicious food and a nice night out this is the place!
Second time we went here. Service is slow. I ordered the lamb special, the lamb was excellent, but the sides were just OK. My Wife and Grandson's Chicken with Crab Pasra Dish were Excellent. My Granddaughter's pasta dish was undercooked. She then ordered the Chicken Parm. That was overcooked.
So it's a crap shoot on the quality of the meal you will be served.
My boyfriend and I go to dinner almost every Friday. We often go to the bistro but wanted to try something different. We almost instantly regret that decision. The calamari was not fresh, tasted very rubbery and the mussels were very small and the white wine sauce had a bitter taste to it.
My boyfriend got chicken montez and he took his order back. Being in the hospitality industry before we almost never do that. I received the lobster ravioli and it was okay. The entrees were piping hot as if they were microwaved.
The service and the bread was the best part of our time here. I highly suggest if you are unsure of this place, just go to the bistro to ensure good food.
The food was ok but not spectacular for a restaurant week showing. They were out of multiple items and the cleanliness of the restaurant was in question with a fruit fly issue.
After reading some mixed reviews online I wasn't sure. We were pleasantly surprised and happy with this restaurant . Our waiter David went out of his way to explain the dishes we had questions on. Our food was tasty and served timely. We had a window seat and got to watch the downtown . We will be dining here again. It was sj restaurant week, but we didn't order the price fixe, we ordered off the menu. A byob is always good for us
First time dining here and absolutely satisfied! Excellent food and service!!!!
Our experience here was just rather basic. Decor is kind of bland. Service was good and our server was attentive. Food was simple and average - not bad but not particularly memorable either. There was one burnt roll in our bread basket but other than that, everything was fine. I had the chicken parm. My wife had the chicken marsala. We were both satisfied with our meals and felt the price was fair but we've had better Italian food at a similar price point elsewhere. I did also have the lentil soup, which was one of the specials. That was rather tasteless and watery.
I wouldn't rush back but if we were in the neighborhood and looking for a place to eat, I wouldn't hesitate to give them another try.
Excellent food, terrible service!
Great food but the staff does not manage firing courses well. Seems to be a lack of busboys for example, which requires servers to clear, fill water which then pushes them behind. Bad table management. Aside from that the food is terrific.
The food was horrible and over priced. I left hungry...I sent my meal back they re prepared it, it was still horrible.
The chicken parm was over cooked and dry.
The gravy was good.
We had an 8 dollar salad, that was fine.
Service was slow, could not keep water filled.
Automatically took tip out on the bill.
Our food was delicious and served hot. The servers were friendly and the service was excellent!
We have been here several times over the past year. The food is always great and the service is very attentive.
It can get a little loud when they have a full house, but they also have several outdoor tables that are great (if it is ever nice out!)
We highly recommend.
Very good food and love the bread! The veal was very tender. The kids love the pizza and ravioli.
It is not hard to get reservations. We were an hour late because of traffic, and the owner is nice to accomodate us. Food is excellent, they are very flexible with changes and the servers are prompt. The price is reasonable and the ambience is moderate.
THIS RESTAURANT WAS WHERE WE HAD OUR SECOND DATE AND MANY OTHER DATES AFTER THAT! UNFORTUNATELY, THE FOOD WAS NOT LIKE THE OTHER TIMES WE HAD BEEN HERE. WE ORDERED THE MOZZARELLA FOR AN APPETIZER AND IT WAS A FRIED CHEESE SANDWICH WITH WHAT LOOKED LIKE DELI SLICED MOZZARELLA ON IT....
THE SEAFOOD BISQUE DID NOT TASTE HOMEMADE LIKE BEFORE... IT WAS VERY THICK, LIKE IT CAME FROM A CAN.
MY LOBSTER RAVIOLI WITH VODKA SAUCE WAS RIDDLED WITH RAW ONIONS.... WHICH TOOK OVER THE FLAVOR OF THE DISH.... AND MY HUSBAND'S CHICKEN WITH A LEMON CREAM SAUCE WAS EXTREMELY LEMONY.... BOTH OF THESE DISHES WE'VE ORDERED MANY TIMES BEFORE BUT IT JUST SEEMS LIKE SOMEONE IS TAKING SHORT CUTS ON THE FOOD, WHICH IS VERY UNFORTUNATE.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP CUTTING PARSLEY STEMS AND PUTTING IT ON THE FOOD!! I SPENT THE ENTIRE TIME PICKING OUT THE STEMS IN EVERY BITE. PARSLEY LEAVES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE USED, NOT THE STEMS.....
WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING...... :-(
I got chicken parm and pasta. The chicken was tough and gristly. They offered to get me a new platter, but the chicken was horrible again, I could only eat 1 bite, and pasta was overcooked.
My family has always enjoyed dining here however the last 3 times were not a good experience. The pasta was over done, sausage burnt. Family members have also said the food was bland. The service was terrible. The people were very kind but it took 40 minutes to bring our soup salads and appetizers. We were not asked about our beverage choices and there were only 2 waiters . I'm sad to say we will not return .
service and food was ok at best. took a very long time to just be able to place our order as our waitress was occupied elsewhere. ordered callimari, waited 10 minutes only to find out that they didn't have it available anymore. they comped the appetizer we chose to replace it which was nice however it was partially cold. i will say the bread was great but the entrees were just ok. nothing to rave about. must say we were disappointed and we will not be back
Nice restaurant great staff but let you linger little too long waiting for food
Excellent! I have never been disappointed here. I ordered the beet salad expecting diced red beets on mixed greens...the usual. I was pleasantly surprised with an artfully arranged selection of sliced beats, asparagus and heats of palm drizzled with a balsamic reduction. I really enjoyed it. My entree was another selection from the appetizer menu. Portabello mushrooms on top of freshly cooked spinach on top of polenta. Yummy! My husband had the roasted salmon with leeks and onions, also excellent!
The service staff was polite, friendly and timely. The manager checked on our table twice throughout dinner. The elegant ambience made for a nice date night. However, the food was just okay. The bruschetta appetizer was good, but the food went downhill from there. A bowl of seafood bisque was very bland and had very little seafood. We had the chicken parmigiana and tilapia francese for our main courses and, again, both were bland and didn't have much flavor. The lemon butter sauce over the tilapia was very thin and the pasta had more of a soup consistency than a creamy sauce. The marinara sauce over the chicken parm tasted like it came straight from a Ragu jar. Given that the wait staff was exceptional, I would consider returning to this restaurant, but only for the atmosphere. The food definitely would not bring me back.
Ate at this restaurant on Valentine's Day. Tables are spaced nicely so we didn't feel like we were eating with other people. The waitress was very accommodating. The homemade gnocchi were excellent. Highly recommended. Will go back soon.
Nothing special about the food. Both my husband and I thought we could make it at home by purchasing the ingredients from Shoprite, cooking them separately, and throwing them in a dish together. The serving staff was also just fine. Friendly, took care of us, but not extraordinary.
Good local place for casual dinner. The food was good and service was at a nice pace. A little over an hour for dinner. The restaurant was pretty full on Saturday February 11.
We would eat here again.
Most of the food was overcooked : shrimp, steak, chicken. The pasta was good and the mussels, but that's it........kitchen was really slow, but I didn't care, I wasn't in a hurry.
My first time here, not coming back
This place was very good however the servers misplaced our order and ending up giving an incorrect meal. Turns out the meal happened to be very good. However the place was extremely busy so mistakes do occur sometimes. All this is a nice place to dine at.
Good atmosphere and quiet which was good for conversation. The food was delicious and portion size just right. Service was spot on and friendly. Recommend for date night and get together's.
Been here many times. Never disappoints me. The mussels in marinara sauce were sweet and tender...not rubbery or gritty. Yum.
My husband & I were disappointed with our first experience here. Although the servers were friendly, the service was very slow. One meal was served hot and the other ice cold. Noise level made it difficult to have a conversation between the two of us. Will not return for a second try.
We attended for a family Christmas dinner and to celebrate the announcement of my daughters first pregnancy. We believe the restaurant was a little overwhelmed due to large volume on this Friday night. Our order was taken then we waited over an hour to receive any bread. We were informed that they had run out of veal on this night and it was only 9:00pm! 2 people in our party of 8 had ordered a veal dish. Our dinners finally arrived and were hot & delicious but with the noise level in the place it was hard to hear each other for any conversation. This is not the fault of the restaurant just volume as the place was very crowded. My wife & I had visited this place before but it was on a week night and just the 2 of us and everything was excellent. We might have to think twice about this place next time when we plan a family outing with more than 2 attendees but me & my wife will definitely dine here again.
I've lived in the area since April, but have never popped into this spot. My parents were in town for the holiday and we decided to pop in before indulging in some midnight shopping. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely divine. There was a bit of a wait for the food, so I'd suggest opting for an appetizer if you're starving upon arrival, but the quality of the food made the wait totally worth it. Everything was hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. We were there for dinner, but I'll definitely be back for lunch. It's a BYO as well, so grab your friends and give this local gem a try!
We went early the waitress was very nice. We brought champagne however they didn't give us champagne glasses which most places do. My husband's salad was just lettuce and very little ceasear dressing. The chicken parmigiana was brunt and dried out. Very disappointed
Delicious, authentic Italian food
Our dinner at Casa Bella Trattoria was fabulous. Everyone in our family ordered from the Sunset Menu/Early Bird Menu which was a great deal - included appetizer, salad/soup, entree and dessert. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Our service was amazing - our waitress was very attentive. It was just a very nice dinner out with our family.
We've eaten here many times and are never disappointed. The good is delicious and the staff is extremely nice. The portions are very generous. We will return!
I went here recently with family visiting from out of town, for something new and different since we normally go to Collingswood for dinner. This place was terrible! All the entrees were just ok and mine was sent back. Never again, there are too many great options in the area to waste your time and money here.
This is a nice restaurant. The meals are good and the service is always exceptional.
