Food and service was excellent; however, Kitchen was slow to bring out our food. Didnt seem they could handle the volume of patrons that day. Would definitely go back for the food. Good portions for the price.

Not so impressed for first time visit (Valentine's Day Dinner). It didnt deliver the quality and flavours of the food (escargot, crab cake, undercooked steak). The service was average, but the hostess was friendly and helpful. Maybe will visit again, just maybe...

Food was good however potatoes came cold. Ordered a bottle of wine, which they had trouble finding, when it arrived at the table it was opened. Booked as a birthday dinner. They never mentioned it or wished happy birthday. Decor not what I was expecting for what I thought was to be fine dinin

It is the worst experience I have. We made the reservation at 7 pm. When we arrive, no one is available and we stand at the door for 10 min. No one! Then we sat at the table and order our dish. Then it takes almost half an hour to get our first glass of water and another 40 mins to get our first starter. The food is fair but it definitely not worth $40 for a dine out menu. Will never go there.

It’s good for Dint Out Vancouver providing lots of choices to choose from. But I would say there food are very average.

The service was top notch from the moment I made the reservation until the moment we left. We ordered off a preset menu (dineout Vancouver) and everything was good. When it came to taste and presentation nothing was bad, it was just that nothing was GREAT. For the $40 price point on the Dine Out menu I have had more amazing food at other places. My medium rare sirloin was cooked perfectly. No real cozy, romantic tables for couples. Would suggest as a nice family place for special event. The staff was truely phenomenal and based on how attentive they were I would suggest Carver's Steak House.

The place was not too bad but the service was good. The only issue was the food was just too plain. The sirloin and fish has no flavour. The only thing I thought was good was the dessert. I am not a big fan of desserts but it has more flavour then then appetizers and the main course.

Seating was strange, we were placed into a meeting room for the hotel. Food took literally 2 hours after we were seated. 4 of us ordered steak, and all 4 were cold. Sent them back and the manager on duty looked extremely unhappy and passive aggressive about small things. They reheated our steaks and took an old one, cut it up, and gave it to us as gratis. I dont know, i wouldnt go back.

Very noisy with a big group table next to us. Steak is great even with dine out menu. Always problem with short staff. We ordered coffees right after finish entree but coffees arrive after deserts were done.

Went for dine out, a few friends recommended/raved about the restaurant. Appetizer I had the escargot, and that was amazing. However I was disappointed as my entree (NY steak) was cold, border line warm... But service was nice and friendly. I would give this restaurant another try.

We went for a dinner as part of the dine out vancouver experience. We were very surprised at the number of options we had. I decided on the lamb shank and my husband the 10 oz steak. They were cooked to perfection and the presentation was spot on. The wine pairings enhanced the meal. Service was fantastic. They were really trying to make it a memorable dining experience. Oh for the appetizers we got the tuna tataki --very lovely and the baked oysters, well they were probably the only thing that wasn't the best. They tasted like a cream soup. Overall I would recommend this place.

We were there for Dine Out Vancouver 2018. The food was fine. However, service was pretty bad. We had a booking at 7pm, but they were unable to provide us with the table until 15mins after, and the table wasn't fully set up. We had to wait for 5mins until a server gave us water and the menu. A server took our order and said bread would be provided soon, but we had to wait another 10mins until the bread came, while other later tables had bread and we didn't. My sister wanted escargot for appetizer, but the server told us they ran out. Then later, we heard other tables ordered escargot and they had it. That server was lying. Also, the plating of dishes was bad. There was a little crumb of the cake on the side of the plate.
The while process was slow. We thought each table has it's own server, but the servers were helping each other, and no one really came and checked us out.
Again, the food was fine, but the service was bad. I won't go back again.

We visited this place for Dine Out Vancouver. The selections were great for $40. We were seated early, given our glass of water but took awhile for someone to get our order or give us any attention. Luckily, one of the servers gave us some yummy bread with balsamic/ olive oil. We were starving!

The food came to us at a decent time! The restaurant was quite busy during this time and they may have been under staffed. One of the servers fell in the back kitchen due to water spill! Hopefully she was okay!

Overall, between two people we spent $112 with 2 dine out menus, 1 glass of wine, liquor and 2 coffee .

Ambiance was great. Noisy kid but we learned to ignore it. Had to remind servers about my wine pairing a few times, but overall great experience and food was great.

We went to Carver's Steak House because they were part of Dine Out Vancouver and we lived close by but had never been. We found the atmosphere warm and cozy. The food was great. The matre'd recommended a wine that was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was a great evening.
