Great food, service, location. Don't miss the fish all non steak lovers
We enjoyed the huge crab cake, the garbage salad, full racks of ribs, roasted cauliflower, key lime pie, and tiramisu. The service was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Very good food and service. Manager also stopped by to be sure all was good
Steaks were okay. Au gratin potatoes didn't have any flavor. Tiramisu was awesome! Our waitress from very friendly and nice.
Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and service, but the food was "meh" at best and not worth the bill.
No valet parking but plan to have sometime this year.
Love the cornbread! Great value for steak and ribs. Will return
The food and service is always awesome. I have entertained her for my anniversary to just a casual date and each time was an awesome experience. The waiting staff are very informative about the menu and polite.
I have been to Carsons on many occasions. The food is great! I like the fact that they change the menu occasionally. The service is always consistent and good. The key lime pie is to die! The ribs are never over cooked or under cooked, but just right. We always have a good time when we dine at Carsons.
Great overall experience!
We went to Carson's on a date, on a Sunday evening. It was fairly busy. We took a booth, hoping for a bit more of a quiet experience. Unfortunately, the speakers directly overhead were very loud, and we had to sit next to each other just to hear each other without shouting. And the booths seem poorly designed, in that they are relatively tight and the table is high compared to the seating. We ordered, but one of our meals was incorrect. The food was decent, not the best we've had in the area but interesting. Aside from the meal mix-up, the service was good. We may return in the future, but only if it is not as loud.
We were seated very quickly for our 6 pm reservation. Husband ordered the bone-in ribeye and the encrusting was perfection. Although my Roquefort dressing wasn't the best I've had, my husband really enjoyed the Caeser salad and ate every bite. Blackened salmon could have used a little more seasoning and browning. It didn't really have the blackened bite that I was expecting. Ribs were OK (not the fall of the bone I would expect from a place that hangs its hat on their ribs but maybe it just that on half rack) found myself wishing I'd ordered the filet. Overall we'd try it again but I would order a bit differently.
Awesome service and great food
Carson's was great as always. Food was delicious and service was very good.
The Pork Chops were as tough as nails. We both took them home put them in the oven thinking that would help well it did not. the appearance was mouth watering. very disappointed
We had a great dinner. Employees are very professional and efficient. They go over and above to ensure diners have a wonderful experience.
We had a great time at Carson’s and would definitely recommend to everyone. We used a Groupon which was a fabulous deal and we had so much food that we were thankful to have parked a little ways away so we could walk off our dessert. Keep up the great work Carson’s we will be back
Great food. Great service. Great location. For the non steak eaters, the sea bass is outstanding. Great downtown location
Three of us dined here for a special occasion. Ordered two 16oz steaks and one "char crusted" pork chop (also 12-16 oz), which had very little bone and was 2" thick. All were very good. Baked potatoes were huge. Au Gratin potatoes were the best I've had. Only disappointment was that we had to choose either a starch or a fresh green vegetable - if wanted both, had to pay additional. It is pricey and of course, there was an NBA game that evening, so in addition to pricey menu, we had to pay for pricey parking. Service was good; atmosphere was good but a little noisy at prime dinner time due to the game this Wednesday evening. Bill for three of us was $150+, including two beers, 1 mixed drink and an iced tea. Would return for a special occasion.
We had a very nice lunch. The food was tasty and the service was professional and friendly.
Lovely atmosphere, attentive service. Wonderful to have comp dessert and candle for birthday.
Ribs dry--not the best choice. Sides great.
Service and food were both great. We had a wonderful evening.
The food was great! But the service; NOT so much. The waiter wasn’t attentive.
Our waitress Samantha was awesome. And the food was great too!
This was the only time where the ribs just weren't seasoned that great. I used the term porky but the manager and waiter laughed me and so I just told them really straightforward, the ribs are gross today. The manager I believe was offended, and didn't think it was good practice to at least say "hey guys sorry you didn't like your food, is there anything else you want". No he just brought our check, didn't even offer dessert, not did they pack our food, but did pack the entire group of people sitting at the same table. A $300 dinner turned into a slightly above $100 dinner. I might come back, it was quite apparent that they could care less.
The food was absolutely amazing. There was a Bucks game so it was overly crowded and the service was extremely slow. She was polite, just slow and somewhat forgetful. The manager seem to be very attentive. Very pricey.
Been to Carson's many times. The food is outstanding, and consistently so. You won't go wrong with anything from the menu - salads are great, sandwiches are great. The ribs are outstanding, as well as their chicken and seafood options. Carson's is one of only a handful of great restaurants in the downtown area, in my opinion.
Ribs were so tough deffintley not fall of the bone style ribs. Pork chops were dry as the dessert if the wouldn't of brought the extra bbq sauce would of never been able to finish them. The chicken was great and the shrimp app was good. Will never be back again, wasn't impressed at all.
I love this place. Have been here several times, food is affordable, steak is around 40 bucks which is the most expensive dish here. The staff are very friendly. The ambience is relaxing, you would feel very comfortable eating here.
Salad delicious. Pork chop was dry and sort of tasteless. Coleslaw amazing. Key lime pie great.
Waitress was great. Bucks game that night. Very crowded and noisy. No parking at all and that is a VERY bad situation for this restaurant-
I will try again.
Carson’s wasn’t what I expected. Food was okay, service was good. I was expecting something a little more swanky and refined. The table for four was good for two people-that really turns me off. I don’t like moving plates around like chess pieces. Mediocre at best - won’t be back.
Food was subpar. Drinks were horribly syrupy. Will not be returning
Carson's was great again! My steak was a tad over done this time but not enough to be sent back. One of the top flavored strip steaks around. We chose it over a few classics for my wife's birthday and were not disappointed.
Only thing I didn't like is you have to pay for all sides and the meal is already costly.
Amazing ribs, will order them again. Also the cornbread was divine.
Our second visit; this time the steak was great but the ribs were not...too fatty and the sauce that came on the ribs was not tasty. We didn’t complain due to Valentines Day! Didn’t want to change the mood for other customers.
The Greek Chicken
Overall great experience. Great service, good food.
It was great!
Rating is based on the fact that my initial rib order was overdone, dry and burned (beyond BBQ burned). The waiter dismissed it as my requesting no extra sauce. The manager came and offered to try another rack with a "little" extra sauce. The second serving was a different cut of ribs (baby back) totally different from the first order. I also used a Groupon and believe that the first order was a cheaper cut of meat. Had I gotten the second rack first, the rating would be 5's.
Manager was pleasant and apologetic. All other food was well presented and service was good.
Took a little long given there were only two other people in the restaurant .
I will return, now that I know how to order the ribs...
