I had their pot roast for the first time. The meat was braised in red wine and perched upon garlic mashed potatoes. Also included were veggies and a few large, fried onion rings. The meat was tender, moist, and went well with my glass of red vino.
Service was excellent and the food was great! Kyle and Lisa waited on us and were very good! The host was not very friendly. When we arrived for an early dinner, he assumed we wanted to sit on the bar side for happy hour. When we requested a booth on the opposite side of the restaurant, he didn't seem very pleased. When we left, my fiancé said thank you very much, and he replied with a very stern good-bye! It was an older gentleman who was the host on 4/10/19 at 3:30 PM.
Although the atmosphere was enjoyable the food was tasteless. I ordered the prime rib dip with mushroom and onions extra. The meat was cold, the mushrooms were not sautéed mearly heated in a microwave and the bread looked like it had been manhandled or sat on. In addition the aujus was watered down and completely tasteless. Only good part was the sample size serving of coleslaw. Horrible!! Total cost, including tip $23.97. Won’t be back
Good food. Able to carry on a conversation without struggling to hear over noise level.
my second visit. was very disappointed with the prime rib. tough and not tasty. service was a little slow. still enjoyed the ambiance.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, and the experience couldn’t have been better. Our waitperson,
Andrew, was a very personable young man who did a great job. We’ve been to your restaurant many times
over the years and always enjoyed the great food and service. I’m sure we’ll be seeing you again in the near
3/25 - Dinner/birthday celebration. Very enjoyable evening. Service and food both very good. The openness of the room does make conversation a little bit difficult.
I would certainly go to Carson's for dinner again, but I would ask for a booth if my group was smaller.
We went here for my twins 22nd birthday with 8 people. The experience was wonderful our server megan was superb and the food was amazing. Everyone at our table couldnt say enough about the food, also the cocktails were great. This is now my go to restaurant. Thank you Carsons Bistroe for making our evening there so incredable.
Good place to sit and talk -- and have a quiet dinner.
I use this as my best of everything restaurant. From personal to business events I am never disappointed. The staff works hard to make dining there a good experience for everyone
Business lunch with client. Good food, good service, loved the signature corn chowder.
I now like it better than the Real Seafood Co. Their menu is great. We all loved how our food was prepared.
Their cushy white chairs are really comfortable.
Although our server seemed to be impressed that this restaurant is associated with a list of others on Main Street ( Ann Arbor), we were less so.
Exceptionally slow service.
Menu items not available.
Adding a sauce to an over cooked or stone cold item is not a cure all.
Huge disappointment, but lesson learned.
Food and service were outstanding. Nice wine list and they were halfoff that night so we had 2. The booths were cramped with four adults and the tabletop was too small to hold everything we ordered. Lots of hard surfaces so it is a bit of a noisy atmosphere. We continue to return for the reliably excellent food and service.
Overall fair experience at best. Server must have been new or relatively inexperienced seemed very uncomfortable. Brought the wrong drink and the wrong order. Was at the restaurant for lunch and ordered similar item (perch) both times one lunch menu this time dinner menu and received significantly smaller portion for dinner serving (and double the price). Three small pieces of perch which was cold/warm at best. Was going to return it but she never came back. Ordered a second drink and we were ready for the bill by the time it arrived. Would not return in the future. Very disappointing
Our 2nd visit and it was perfect. Food was great, service was great. Atmosphere was perfect. We will continue to patronize Carson’s Bistro.
Great place for a business lunch! Good food and nice ambience.
Carson's is our favorite restaurant for a nice, quiet meal. The service is always fantastic and the food delicious. My wife and I highly recommend Carson's. Thank you.
The fish tacos and Reuben sandwich were delicious!
Ribeye and crab stuffed salmon was very good; however, meals were overpriced. Service was great. Went on a Saturday where wine was half-price. Wanted to order Pinot Noir. Only 3 choices on wine menu. Ordered top priced Pinot and was informed that it was not in stock. Ordered next priced bottle. This bottle was vinegary and refused. Settled for last choice. This was ok; however, not to my taste.
Brendan was an outstanding waitstaffer. Attentive and friendly.
Had a really nice dinner with great food, great service and plenty of choice. Highly recommend
Appreciated the gluten free options available on the menu and the willingness of the chef to adapt a dish so that it was free of gluten.
Service and Food were Fabulous! Never disappoints. The menu has something for everyone and from Appetizer, Dinner to Desert everything is full of flavor.
Lobster shrimp bites appetizer were good, thai and chopped salads were good, too. Lunch portion was generous.Service was just ok.
We had prime rib with coleslaw with blue cheese. Coleslaw was very salty. Prime rib was a bit tough but tasted good. Service was excellent.
We were a little disappointed with the quality of the food here. My husband asked for the prime rib medium and got it well done. I got the ribs and they were not very tender and had very little meat on them. The mashed potatoes didn’t have much flavor and the chips appetizer was sparse.
the waiter was very nice and very good. I am hard of hearing, his voice was a little soft.
I didn't know the price of the special it wasn't on the menu. So I didn't know how much what I ordered cost. I split a salad with my friend. and the BBQ chicken was sweet but the salad was bitter
The tortilla soup was OK. It wasn't the best soup I have had. Usually there is alot of cheese on top there was a blob of white cheese at least that what it looked up. The tortillas were mixed into the soup and soggy.
I split a salad with my friend and we both had a cup of soup, She had a cup of coffee, and we both had a piece of carrot cake and it was $50. I thought it was very pricey. The carrot cake was really good. The main food was not. I didn't pick the restaurant, for the birthday party. I am not sure if I would come back.
We’ve been going to Carson’s since the restaurant opened. It’s one of our main “go-tos”!👍👍😃
Love coming here for birthdays. We had a lovely and quiet dinner considering it was Super Bowl night. Excellent dinner options.
Husband's meal was VERY GREASY- a pool of grease in plate. Waitress knew it but served it anyway. Not good. She should be in charge of how food looks when it goes out.
Eaten here many times and will again. Music too loud but they toned it down in our section on request. Salmon over cooked this time but other items were good. Waiter and and service were exceptional.
My family and I visited this restaurant recently. The waiter was pleasant., he was attentive and our food arrived sooner than expected.
I would definitely eat here again.
The stroganoff has a metallic taste and 2 of the 3 of us ordered it. We had to return it and get another choice. So it ended up with having to wait for another dish to come out.
The service was good, my stake was under cook and cold...
Great service, food, and received wonderful discount for my friends birthday.
I was there for restaurant week, and the amount of food in the special was very worth the price. Also delicious! It was not crowded during a week day lunch hour.
Very nice evening with friends and great food and great service.
Restaurant week menus can feel mass produced. The couscous in the salmon dish was lumpy and kind of bland. Service was adequate , but not outstanding. Hard to beat the birthday deal at all of the Main Street Ventures restaurants.
Our waitress was very unfriendly. She appeared to be rushing us, and our order- and the restaurant was only 25% full!! We'd ask questions, and she appeared 'put off'. The bar tender was nice and helpful. Food was good- yet expensive. We may go back- we'll have to see...
