It was great, the food was delicious, the wine was outstanding, our waiter was very nice and patient.
We were seated as soon as we got to the restaurant. The table was already set up and waiting for us. Our server was very polite and patient with me when I couldn't decide on a drink order. The food and drinks were delicious! The restaurant was clean and quiet. Overall, we very much enjoyed our experience and would definitely go back again!
Wonderful service, but food quality is lacking for the price.
The meal was okay I guess; mine a caesar salad with grilled chicken - chicken lukewarm. Service was terrible from the beginning. Hostess said 20min wait because there were only two of us. Reality, we were 4 and had a reservation. I pointed to an empty booth, and we were seated immediately. Waiter took forever for drinks, forgot one drink, didn't bring side salads for two until I asked another server to find him. Dinners came 45min after ordering which was a total of 1 hr.+ after arrival. We should have gone to Applebees around the corner. Lower prices and food fully as good.
Convenient location/parking, nice decor, good food, but service was pretty slow.
The food was very good. I chose this place to eat for a birthday dinner because I like the variety of their menu.
I only wish they served a dinner salad as part of your entree instead of cole slaw.
Pecan Crusted Chicken Strips is what it should be called.
This menu is very overpriced. Food was not spectacular, and they were out of multiple items. The service was also slow.
We sat in the Bar area and were taken very good care of by Joe who did and incredible job. My Wife and I had an excellent Dinner and I really enjoyed My Moscow Mule.
We went for the rib special and although the flavor was good the ribs were very dried out as was the corn bread. Our server Andrew was especially responsive and made up for the mediocre food. We also liked dining alfresco.
Carson’s is a great place to celebrate special occasions. For our anniversary dinner I celebrated with filet minion that was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth tender. My wife had the pot roast that she is still raving about. The service was prompt, our server was knowledgeable and we dined on the outdoor patio. The weather cooperated and we were able to converse and dine in the warm evening breeze. Everything was fantastic!
Some of our dinner was ineatable. This happened the last time we had dinner at Carson’s. Terrible fatty frozen pieces of “prime rib”. Not coming back!
Good food and good service
Great location. Great food. Cole slaw made with Blue cheese is really good. Recommend to any one coming to the area
Swordfish was great. They have half off wine on Saturday nights which is great. Highly recommend this place
Good overall. Good food, bread and drink selection. Slow at the start getting a waiter and drinks. Greeter could use some work on being more friendly. He seemed annoyed when I asked for new menu tablet that died cause I interrupted him and a group of waiters mingling about gibberish. I would come back again, maybe just an off day for the staff.
Great as always. Best food and service in Ann Arbor!!
45” for order and it was Memorial Day, very few patrons
Was running bar all the restaurant bar orders and service bar patrons. Used same glass for the refill that took forever to get even though the glass was placed at the end of table as a sign need a refill. We love Carson’s but this experience was dreadful and subpar. I had to get up and go to bar to get tab. He never came over. Plates not cleared. Bid on gift certificates at an auction just because we love real Seafood Company and Carson’s. Rating 0 stars
I am a vegan. I went to eat the impossible burger. There was no warning that they were out of it. The server only found out when she tried to place my order. Still they accommodated my needs and I am satisfied, but warning is needed for this item.
We came for Mother's Day. The menu has changed slightly, and they removed the wedge salad from the salad selection. The crispy Brussels sprouts are to die for. Our entrees included the cedar plank salmon, sautéed Lake Superior whitefish, full rack of ribs and the Impossible Burger hamburger (I didn't know that they had begun serving that - it was tasty). No dessert - too full.
Andrew, our server was very good. Very pleasant and helpful as we were deciding what to order.
When I made the reservations for Sunday, there wasn't a mention that it would only be the buffet until 3 pm. I would have made our reservations for later. The food was cold, overcooked and no taste.
They offered fresh fruit, but no bowls to put the fruit in. There were pastries that were also bigger than the plates. I had to go thru 5 dishes in the hot food line before I found a clean one. The waffles were hard and you could not cut them. They syrups they offered ran out very fast, and the line was held up because they had to be refilled. The bread, meat and egg combo was hard and dry. The ham was very very dry and had no taste.
We had excellent service from the waitstaff. He made sure our dirty dishes were taken care of and drinks refilled on a regular basis. The music was very loud.
I have been to Carson's for lunch in the past and really enjoyed the quality of the food. This was the reason for choosing to go there Mother's Day. They need to go to other businesses the also offer Buffet's and see how they are done.
Will I go back??? That is a very good question. Most definitely not if they are offering a buffet.
Carson's is a family friendly restaurant with a nice ambiance. The menu has a lot of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Quality of food is excellent and portions are reasonably sized.
Service is excellent. Will definitely visit again.
Great Food and great service. Family favorite. Food prices are average. Nice clean environment.
This is a very nice restaurant, upscale but not pretentious, with a varied menu, including seafood, steaks, chicken, salads, and sandwich options. Our server was relatively new, but was very competent and friendly. Altogether, a very pleasant experience.
The atmosphere is very appealing. We were there early (5:00 - 6:30pm) on a Saturday so its was quite enough. Definitely busier and nosier when we left.
We happened to dine at Carson's on graduation day. The room was full of joyful noise, making it harder to have a conversation. The food and service was excellent!!
Loved the salad and the waiter was very very good. He was pleasant and efficient.
Great food. Great atmosphere.
I am not your typical eater. The staff and chef rose to the challenge and accommodated my vegan diet and my vegetable restrictions (because of IBS). I can't wait to visit again. My meat eating friends were grateful to watch me, for once, have a good dinner with them.
I just really wanted to express how disappointed I was with the Easter Brunch. It was basically paying almost 27.00 for a breakfast. You had meat choices but nothing really to go with them. There was a salad that was way over with the bagels. Didn’t even realize there was one over there till we were through eating. I have done other brunches that offer different salads, some seafood like shrimp, scallops etc ,
When we got there at 1:45, trays were empty like it was ending , yet there was an hour still of this brunch.
I could go on, but enough said.
The buffet for Easter Brunch was not good at all the eggs were overcooked and rubbery, they had dirty dishes out, the Prime Rib was very underdone and the desserts left much to be desired.
The Easter buffet was horrible. It was not a true breakfast buffet. There were a few chafing dishes with hot food, English Muffins, bagels, slices of pie, one small dish of fruit and a small salad. That was it. Shame on Carson's for exploiting the holiday. It was $27 for very limited menu. No beverage was included in the price either. I would not recommend their buffet to anyone.
I had their pot roast for the first time. The meat was braised in red wine and perched upon garlic mashed potatoes. Also included were veggies and a few large, fried onion rings. The meat was tender, moist, and went well with my glass of red vino.
Service was excellent and the food was great! Kyle and Lisa waited on us and were very good! The host was not very friendly. When we arrived for an early dinner, he assumed we wanted to sit on the bar side for happy hour. When we requested a booth on the opposite side of the restaurant, he didn't seem very pleased. When we left, my fiancé said thank you very much, and he replied with a very stern good-bye! It was an older gentleman who was the host on 4/10/19 at 3:30 PM.
Although the atmosphere was enjoyable the food was tasteless. I ordered the prime rib dip with mushroom and onions extra. The meat was cold, the mushrooms were not sautéed mearly heated in a microwave and the bread looked like it had been manhandled or sat on. In addition the aujus was watered down and completely tasteless. Only good part was the sample size serving of coleslaw. Horrible!! Total cost, including tip $23.97. Won’t be back
Good food. Able to carry on a conversation without struggling to hear over noise level.
my second visit. was very disappointed with the prime rib. tough and not tasty. service was a little slow. still enjoyed the ambiance.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, and the experience couldn’t have been better. Our waitperson,
Andrew, was a very personable young man who did a great job. We’ve been to your restaurant many times
over the years and always enjoyed the great food and service. I’m sure we’ll be seeing you again in the near
