Carrol's Creek Cafe Ratings and Reviews
So happy we chose Carrol's Creek for our girl's night out. I've been before, but was so pleasantly surprised at how good the meal was. My four girlfriends all had great meals too. We had to taste each one. Our server waited until the bread was right out of the oven so it was served to us piping hot! Yum. The only drawback was that because we ate all of our food, there was absolutely no room to try a dessert! Next time! Thanks for making it such a great evening for us. We'll be back!
We were given a very nice table next to a window looking out on Annapolis Harbor. There were many delicious-looking menu choices -- my favorites: large oysters on the half shell and the crab cake dinner loaded with lump crab. My dining partners also raved about the cream of crab soup. Carol's creek in an excellent place for fine dining.
I enjoy Carrol's Creek, especially the table side ceasar salad. Our party of three ordered, 3 French onion soups, ceasar salad, two steaks (medium rare) and crab cakes, and a nice bottle of wine. The soup and salad, were excellent, the steak (not my entre - was flavorless) and the crab cake was dry and mediocre at best. (I have had the crab cake at Carrol's Creak about a dozen or more times previous) . In fact, I'm certain backfin or jumbo lump was not used, if so then it was very sparse and agian dry. This is the first time, I left an entire cake on the table. As mentioned, I really enjoy Carrol's Creek, the staff is always friendly and the atmosphere, especially at night looking across to the city is always great, I just hope next time the entre's meet at least a little expectation.
First of all the food and Dan's service were outstanding!! In the future on Sundays and for a quieter meal I would ask for a window table or a booth. I have eaten in the glassed-in area for lunch and it was fine. Sunday, however, there were too many tables and too many loud people which took away from the ambiance.
The staff were all top notch. The Cioppino was delicious. I would return just to order it again! Another dish, the Sauteed Shrimp in Mango Butter Sauce was too sweet, with a tanginess that didn't appeal. Would not recommend it. The restaurant delivers on quality ingredients, extensive wine, beer, and liquor selections, and usually consistently good food.
Excellent place to eat! The food was amazing! I had red snapper. This was my first time trying this type of fish so I can’t compare only to say it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was complimentary not over powering. I was able to substitute my starch for the cauliflower mash. Glad I did! My husband had twin crab stuffed lobster. Delicious! We were there on a Saturday night around 7. It was very loud and a little difficult to carry on a conversation—but that’s to be expected considering the day and time. Would definitely go back next time we are in Annapolis
I was terribly disappointed in my experience at Carol's Creek. I saw our 2 person wait staff only 2 or 3 times over a 2 hour period! It was very obvious that management understaffed the wait staff. For the price of the food there are many, many better places to eat in the Annapolis area!
My husband and I enjoyed this waterside spot for lunch on a day trip to Annapolis. You cannot beat the waterside setting. The cioppino and the wasabi tuna sandwich on a pretzel roll were both excellent. Good wine and beer selections. Dinner would be great here as well. Nice service, elegant indoor setting, nice bar area, and plenty of outdoor deck seating in good weather. Free validated parking onsite.
I like eating lunch or dinner at Carrols Creek...we eat there often when in Annapolis. The menu and wine list are excellent, the service we had today was superb...I think his name was Bobby. The only slightly negative comment is the front desk reception...,and has been consistently this way each time I dine...they seem cold or aloof and not a warm welcoming smile....twice this week at lunch, the elderly woman at front desk seemed a bit flustered or distracted but not welcoming at all....just my opinion....
We went to celebrate a milestone Birthday. Our reservation was ready when we got there. The food was fabulous, served at the right temperature. The service was excellent, only showing up at the right time, to serve each course and replenish our drinks. Thanks to all who made it a memorable experience.
This had to be one of our top 10 dining experiences, fit for the most discerning palate. Any foodie would be in heaven! Our meal included a bottle of wine, appetizer, dinner, cappuccino and dessert, all of which was outstanding. A bit of a drive from from South Jersey, where we have access to all the Phila. and Jersey Shore restaurants, but well worth a trip back at a later date.
I found the restaurant on a list of most romantic places in Annapolis — it was not. The lights were turned up so bright it was difficult to view the harbor lights. The tables for two were butted up against tables for 8. Very noisy. Lots of kids. Food was good but presentation lacked refinement. I would go back but only for day time dining outside. It was just okay. Not what I expect for $30 entrees.
