Carrol's Creek Cafe Ratings and Reviews
Carroll’s has a great menu of seafood and beer. The Caesar salad that is made tableside is truly great! All you need is a couple of other appetizers and you’ve pretty much got a full meal for two! We had the Brie that is served in a philo dough, and the baked clams.
The serving staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Service was excellent. Location on the water and views are wonderful. Bar is very nice and elegant. Ambiance is very nice. Food was not impressive. Just passable. Cream of crab soup way too thick. Ceasar Salad nothing special. For the prices and wonderful decor and setting on the water, the food should have been higher quality.
We were two adults and a toddler. We were given a booth with no room for a high chair. We fought hard to have our son not jumping all the time disturbing the other clients.
Server was attentive but we were not given or asked if we wanted a kid's menu nor the wine list.
Best dining in Annapolis! Consistently delicious. Wonderful location with beautiful sunsets. Attentive staff. Love the French Onion Soup, Cream of Crab Soup, Rockfish, and Crab Cakes. Yummy desserts, as well. Great place to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.
If only the sauces had been lighter! Juicy scallops covered in a sort of bbq like “sauce” totally overtook theses perfectly cooked bi-valves. Really. Husband had the shrimp and cheese stuffed polenta. Once again, the shrimp were delectable so why put a sweet orange sauce over it? The polenta was interesting enough. So, if you like your sea food to taste other than from the sea you will like Carols Creek - but you will pay for it!
Our party started out in the bar which was not crowded and we enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails before moving to our table in the dining room. Good food but nothing over the top that warranted the very expensive check at the end of the evening. This was our first time dining here and we bypassed The Chart House because we didn't want to spend a fortune. Ended up with a pricey check anyway. Tables were too close together! Our server had difficulty navigating around our table and it was a challenge finding a path to the ladies room. We might revisit in the summer and try the deck atmosphere.
Our server was outstanding, I’m sorry I can’t remember her name to give her a shout out!! The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the clams and shrimp and crab cocktail, both were perfect! And, 3 of us had the rockfish, and 1 has scallops, all of us said we would definitely get the same thing again!
Have been here a lot and always enjoyed it. Service this time was off, took forever, we were sat at a table that the dishes/silverware were set up as 2facing 2 when it was a table for 4, extra glasses (?) and not sure if prices have gone up? Food was excellent but the check was off the chart for what it was.
We enjoyed our visit to Carrol's Creek tremendously. The staff were very attentive, accommodating, and welcoming. The restaurant was busy, especially for a weeknight. We were early for our reservation but they were able to seat us right away. The service was excellent, food was exceptional. It was too dark to see, but I would love to come back in daylight to enjoy the waterfront view. Highly recommend!
Caroll's Creek is always a wonderful dining experience and this visit was no exception. Service was attentive without being overwhelming and the food was terrific. The Bacon Wrapped BBQ shrimp appetizer was excellent and the Scallops over Risotto with Asparagus was equally good.
We had a very nice dinner on Wednesday, 12.27. Tucker was our waited and he was excellent. The food was good, I had salmon and it was perfectly cooked. The specials were good and I liked the creative use of ingredients, such as the mashed cauliflower that went with my salmon. It was a fun evening with friends!
This restaurant was recommended to me by a work colleague. My wife and I were celebrating our 19 year wedding anniversary and was pleasantly impressed with the ambiance of the space and the wonderful customer service received during our visit. We look forward to making another visit to the restaurant in 2018.
Food is excellent. The scallops are to die for....I get them everytime. We did the Chef's special, added cream of crab and salad. All was good. We had to Rose from France it was dry but balanced with the sweetness of the scallops. The lava cake was then topped with peppermint ice cream....wonderful and pricey
Our waiter was top notch and allowed us to dine and chat at our own pace. All the entrees we ordered were delicious, and the wine selections we made perfectly complemented the food. A wonderful evening and visit to one of our favorite Annapolis restaurants!
The overall experience was outstanding. Starting with seating - we didn't like the first table, we immediately moved to a table that met our needs. The service was equally outstanding - our waiter, Tucker, was very attentive, spot on with drink selection, food choices and dessert. Highly recommend Carrol's Creek for any occasion.
We dined here during a trip to Annapolis for a little weekend getaway. The food was quite good, the service better than average, but the ambiance was hindered by some less than gracious people sitting in surrounding tables who simply don't know how to act in public. if I can hear you using the "F" word several times during the night in your less than quiet conversation, something is wrong. management needed to step in and ask that they conduct themselves a bit more considerately. I would have complained to the waiter, but he was busy taking their picture over and over again. HINT: you can take ONE picture and share it via social media.
The room itself is nice; a bit outdated and overly lit, detracting from the ambiance. It also allowed us to see a very dirty carpet full of crumbs and debris. The bathrooms, although somewhat clean, were littered with paper towels and other bits of trash, which was quiet surprising.
All in all, a good restaurant that could be great with a few easy fixes, but still, it's difficult to control your demographic.
First time at Carroll’s Creek. Excellent dinner. Attentive, friendly waiter but not overbearing. High noise level but since there was only two of us we were able to converse without a problem. Will definitely be going back in warmer weather to enjoy the outside deck.
