Carrol's Creek Cafe
Located on scenic Restaurant Row in Eastport, Carrol's Creek Cafe is a pleasant stroll across the Spa Creek Bridge from the historic district. Carrol's Creek Cafe offers ample parking and is a convenient Water Taxi ride from Annapolis City Dock.
Good food, nice view! Only complaint is lack of choices for vegetarian diners.
Wonderful food and great outdoor seating
Our meal was absolutely fantastic. The service was even better. Excellent decor, vibe and value. Highly recommended!
Beautiful ambiance, gorgeous setting, excellent service, my wife ordered a crab cake appetizer. The other guests ordered a crab cake sandwich and the latter were the same size crab cake as the appitizer!
We dined here late evening on a busy football weekend (Navy vs Air Force). So too late to enjoy view as it was already dark. Very crowded, busy & noisy so our waiter seemed a bit flustered. Food was good. Would love to return at a quieter time and earlier to enjoy sunset & scenic views. Usually enjoy taking water taxi to our dining destinations in Annapolis, but too crowded on waterfront due to boat show. All these circumstances not the fault of the restaurant, so definitely need to give it another try.
Went for my son’s 25th birthday. The service, the views and the menu variety were all wonderful.
The food was very good. I had the grilled swordfish. Our Waiter, Rickie, was outstanding. What a nice young man. He is an major asset to Carrol's Creek Cafe.
Ricky was triple seated but still provided excellent service including a wonder Caeser tableside
Visiting the power boat show
Had a 6:30 reservation during powerboat show, came about 30 minutes early and were seated immediately. Less than 1/4 full. By about 6:30 place was mostly full. Very attentive waitstaff. Food very good, good selections. Only a few picky things prevent me from awarding 5 stars, brown ended lettuce stem in salad, dark band of meat on my rockfish. Otherwise flavors and presentation very good. For the prices and and to get five stars from me you have to be perfect. Would I return, yes, but several other places in Annapolis I also want to try.
Great service. Nice table outside
I've been to Carrol's Creek a couple of times and found it a great place to dine. The menu offers a lot of choice, the food and service are excellent. This time lived up to those previous. My friend and I chose Carrol's Creek this time because the sailboat show in Annapolis had lots of people in the city, so we were worried about finding parking downtown. Carrol's Creek is just "across the creek" so not far, and it has an attached parking lot. While the lot charges, the restaurant will stamp your ticket so parking is really free. We will be back.
Carrol's Creek is a gem. Our son's had his rehearsal dinner there and it was phenomenal. The service was outstanding, the food excellent and the evening was a magical experience.
We took our friends there for lunch and the service as always was superb. However, we were under the impression that a window seat was reserved and though we eventually were seated by a window, it was not reserved like I understood.
We were there to celebrate a friend who is leaving the area and the staff was so accommodating and friendly! From the hostess to our server - all so nice! The food was very good as well. Gorgeous views!
We sat outside, perfect venue for a casual but productive business lunch.
It was a lovely evening with a table on the porch. The service was terrific.
The food, service, and setting were outstanding. Our halibut was perfectly grilled and served with a delicious sauce beurre blanc orange. The only negative was that the sound level in the dining area was a bit too energetic. We don’t fault the restaurant for that — several other diners must have forgotten their indoor voices.
The food was excellent, sitting out on the porch was beautiful, the service was great.
Great food and service. We will definitely be back.
I was expecting more for the prices and reputation. The service was excellent but the food was so so. I ordered the Halibut which was a special of the day. It wasn't very flavorful and it was extremely overcooked that made it rubbery. My brother and husband had the rockfish and both liked it. We also had to pay to park. I'm glad we went however, we will not be dining there again.
Ursula, We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your halibut entrée. Please know, that we are always happy to recook or replace an item if it is not to our guest’s liking. I also apologize if our staff did not validate your parking while in the restaurant. Our stamp will provide 2 ½ hour of complimentary parking in the Annapolis City Marina lot. If you will contact me at the restaurant, 410-263-8102, I would be happy to compensate you for the parking charge. Jeffrey Jacobs / Owner
Delicious food and a nice deck on the water. We were seated right by the bussing station, so that was unfortunate...especially since we made reservations and were one of the first parties to arrive when the restaurant opened. Should have asked for a different table...so that's on us. The portabella mushroom was great!
Very nice restaurant with beautiful views. We sat outside as the weather was spectacular. Our waitress was very good and the rest of the staff enjoyable. Our meals were very good and we had a great experience.
Very. Ice restaurant. A little pricey.
Good food. Superb service. Definitely a favorite place for special events.
Had dinner wth a dear friend and then went to Symphony.
Outdoor dining is a treasure with a view of Spa Creek, sailing adventures, the Naval Academy, while enjoying a 5-Star experience! And, the flour-less dessert is to die for!!! The grilled salmon fresh greens avocado, papaya, feta and citrus vinegarette was my lunch choice. Deee-licious!
Food and service always excellent. Fresh quality. Weather permitting sit outside -- view is lovely. Validated parking available.
An anniversary dinner. Lovely as always! Great waiter—Will—interesting and helpful.
Great food! Service was excellent and the views of the Severn River were gorgeous.
The cream of crab soup and crab cakes are a REASON to keep coming here. Both so yummy!! They also took great precautions for my friends shellfish allergy.
Outside was ideal! Inside was a bit too fancy. Excellent food & service!
We love this restaurant. Have been coming here for years, making it our go to place for special occasions. The food is always great and up until the last two visits, we've had great service. The last two visits we had new servers (at least we'd never seen them before) and both were some of the worst we've ever had anywhere. Brought wrong dish, then took so long that everyone else had finished before the correct dish was brought. This time our server kept disappearing for half an hour at a time. We had to ask her twice for the check (after being at the restaurant for nearly 2 hours and waiting very long times between drinks & courses). When she finally brought it she said, "I didn't want to interrupt your conversation" which was just ridiculous. We had ASKED for the check. I don't know what's going wrong but we really love this restaurant and hope they aren't going to ruin it by hiring such poor servers.
They kindly accommodated an additional person in our group. Wine list was good. Cream of crab soup was not up to par - not enough crab and tasted floury, not like cream and crab. Good level of sherry, though. Salads were good - interesting flavor combinations. Mains were mixed. The rockfish was odd (breaded) and had very little crab. Perfect beurre blanc, though. Desserts were mixed. The NY cheesecake wasn’t but the bread pudding was great. Service was attentive - great.
Really overall just great. The service was truly outstanding. The waiter was super helpful in explain and comparing dishes that really hit the mark. He made the evening just that more successful. [Forgot his name - he seemed like an experienced gentleman, avg build, friendly Caucasion, losing hairline.]
As always, we had an excellent meal at the restaurant with the best water view in Annapolis. And, by far, the best cream of crab soup around. We come here three to four times a year and have never been disappointed. Great choice for special occasions.
An overall wonderful experience. Although, our food order were two errors on our food order, out server was wonderful and very apologetic. The server did offer us free desserts due to the errors. The food was delicious overall. My only compliant is when leaving the restaurant, I offered compliments to the manager about our server and other staff, but her response was cold and rude. The staff at Carrol's Creek Cafe surely do not reflect the manager present on Sunday afternoon.
Everything was wonderful! The food the service. We celebrated our Anniversary there and they made us feel so special!
This was the latest of several visits over many years. Excellent food and attentive service, although the order of arrival of the courses was a little off from what we expected. The room was rather loud for an upscale restaurant, maybe an unavoidable effect of the open-space layout. In general, though, we were content.
We were initially seated at a table outside in direct sun and asked to move as it was a hot day. When they told us it was all they had outside we decided to go somewhere else. The hostess followed us out the door as we were leaving and said I have a table being bused for you right now, let me show you where it is. We couldn't have asked for better service from that point forward. Food and drinks were excellent, peach creme brulee was the best we've ever had. And the view is unmatched in Annapolis.
