The food was delicious and the service was great. Thank you for a great experience with our work dinner.
Service was excellent, beyond the norm. My partner had the crab cakes and loved them. My rockfish was tender and very fresh. Will definitely be return dines!
Awesome brunch, fantastic service, and you can’t beat the view!
I've enjoyed many visits to Carrol's Creek over the last several years, but this was the first time I've had Brunch there. It was a delightful experience and one I'm certain to partake in again. The food was excellent, the restaurant as always looked great. The staff from arrival to departure were professional and welcoming. While my Mimosa was a bit disappointing the biscuit more than compensated.
Excellent food! Excellent service! Excellent location! Love this place for brunch or dinner.
First time to Carrols Creek and everything was fantastic! The wedge and beet salads were all one could want. Fresh and crisp, appointed with all the goodness. For dinner we had the rockfish and the crab cakes. Crab cakes were about on par for what you’d expect in Annapolis. Very good, jumbo lumps, minimal filler and broiled to golden. The Rockfish stole the show. We will definitely be going back for that. Herb crusted and pan fried filets, stacked atop a sundried tomato risotto and topped with spinach an crab meat. Absolutely delicious flavors and a perfect dish. We will be back soon!
We didn’t have room for dessert but they looked great. The service was attentive and well timed. Overall, I can’t come up with a reason for not trying this place many years ago. I look forward to putting this one in our rotation of places to eat.
All four entrees were tasty and reasonably healthy. Salmon, shrimp entrees from regular menu and salmon salad and mixed seafood specials. Also loved navy bean soup. Most tables have water view. Validated parking in lot in front of restaurant wa easy for Saturday lunch.
Overpriced food and lackluster service. Steak ordered medium and came out raw. Not worth the price
My friends and I had very enjoyable meal. The food was delish and the service excellent.
Went for lunch with another couple, the latest of many visits. As always, the bright and lovely location is a treat, and the service impeccable. The food was a bit of a letdown however. The cream of crab soup was overly floured and quite thick. The shrimp po’boy was served open-faced with plenty of crisp shrimp and fresh tomato and greens and a side of fries. The roll was somewhat dry and too large for the meal, also it was not cut into manageable halves which proved somewhat messy with the cutlery on the table. The inauthentic sauce was mustard-based, as stated in the menu (my mistake). The fries were blah and needed more crisping. That being said, my wife loved the daily special of mixed grilled seafood and risotto, and the other couple enjoyed their selections, although I noticed the difficulty of eating a different sandwich on the same thick uncut roll. Next time I will order more judiciously.
Beef tenderloin Sandwich was great. Soup was overpriced and not very warm. Our server was wonderful and did an outstanding job!
Two of us went to dinner at Carrol's Creek on a weeknight. The waiter was very informed about the nightly specials. We decided to try the roasted veal special. The veal was a very large, well prepared chop with roasted root vegetables and was fabulous. The restaurant is now totally "nut free " which was especially helpful due to one in the party having a severe nut allergy.
The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful because it is waterfront in Annapolis.
The food presentation was OK, but it lacked flavor. The veal chop looked good, but tasted like plain tofu. The same for the fish. The scallop appetizers (2 per portion) for $20 could use a hair cut. Come on guys ! Get a few herbs and spices. Our neighbors to the north and south do a much better job at half the price.
Taylor, our waitress, was topnotch!!! Will come back to sample more of the extensive menu.
Nice restaurant close to the yacht club in a quite position but walking distance to the center. On Sunday it was a bit crowded and noise. The service was professional and very speed.
We tried their special dish with crab like the cream soup and the crab cake, and they were delicious!
Friends in town.
Food was mediocre for the price.
Excellent service & food albeit the noise level.
Very nice experience. Great food and service.
Outstanding crab soup, followed by rockfish with lump crab meat. Our waitress, Taylor, was outstanding.
A wonderful setting and quality food and service to celebrate our 30 year anniversary. Plan to return and share the experience with friends.
We always enjoyed our evening at Carrol's Creek. We usually dine there twice a month. We were disappointed this time because two of our favorite dishes were removed from the menu.
We might not frequent Carrol's Creek as often in the future.
My wife and I are longtime (12+ years) Carroll’s Creek patrons! Everything was great, as usual, except for my NY strip steak! It was tough and full of gristle and very hard to cut with the sharp steak knife you provided! l discussed my displeasure with our server Zack, who was great, and he promised to bring our unhappiness to the attention of the chef! We have not received any feedback from Carroll’s Creek!
We have visited Carroll’s Creek many times and never had a poor experience. A beautiful setting, excellent food and service are to be expected. All was there this time except the special, halibut, seldom available and our favorite, was over cooked and too dry. Otherwise it would be five stars across the board.
Food was well prepared and service appropriate.
I had requested a table with a water view with my online reservation. We were seated two tables back from the window. We were politely moved when I requested a waterfront table. I had crab soup and beet salad. Both tasted good. The soup had little crab. We stayed a long time which seemed fine with the staff. I appreciated that. The people at the front desk made sure we had our parking tickets stamped. The view is breathtaking. We had a delightful time. # in party~2
The crab cakes were delicious, as usual and my wife enjoyed the scallops as well. I had the mussels but without the sambuca as I am not a fan of anise. The mussels were excellent anyway.
Only real complaint is our waiter, who was awesome, was stretch thin across too many customers. The party next to us was also very loud. Once they left, the atmosphere was much better.
Food is always good.
Very good meal. The service was prompt and excellent. The food choices were very good. We had the Cioppino and Linguine Shrimp. Both were excellent. The Cioppino had a light tomato broth that did not overwhelm the fish, as so many do; this was a highlight. The crab cake appetizers were sufficiently good for Annapolis.
Outstanding service and super friendly staff! The meal was delicious and well served with a professional presentation.
Great meal while dining on the docks in Annapolis. Tables were a bit cramped making it hard to maneuver to and from our table. Server was friendly and attentive.
Wonderful- we got a special birthday dessert and the other patrons sang. Delightful seafood!!
Took my daughter for dinner, was not as impressed this visit. Scallop appetizer was good, beef carpaccio was not very exciting. It actually looked like a few prices of thin roast beef on a plate - nothing exciting. Rockfish dinner was tasty, seafood ciapino was overcooked and disappointing. Surprisingly, the strip steak was very tasty. We got the captains special which added, soup (very rich/heavy) salad (too much dressing, almost dripping) and dessert (flourless chocolate cake- yum!!) service was ok, but because of a big party, we were unable to sit near the window (despite there being tables available in that room) we e were told they were not available... we had a much better visit back in August ...
We enjoyed lunch to celebrate a special birthday. Had a great table and the staff provided excellent and warm service. The only thing we were slightly disappointed with was with the crab soup--a specialty that had been highly rated, as noted on the menu--but we found it too heavy and lacking in flavor. Aside from that, over a range of dishes and courses, we were quite happy with the excellent quality.
Nice lunch with friends from out of town. Had a great table with water view. Food and service was excellent.
Quiet (less busy) night at the cafe. Excellent food. Felt very welcome. Acoustics are such that we couldn't help but be distracted by nearby conversations. But, all in all a great spot and we will look for occasions to go back.
As usual, Carrols Creek does not disappoint. Food was great and we had our favorite server, Suan. I got the halibut special and it was superb. Great evening with great friends at a great restaurant with an awesome waterfront view
Swordfish was mushy not firm!
I’ve eaten there many times before with good results. This time the New York strip was tough, lacking in taste and full of fat/grossed. I didn’t complain, but probably should have. My wife’s crab cake had too much filling and were only fair.
We eat out all over Annapolis and it will be a while before we give them another try.
