Carrol's Creek Cafe
Located on scenic Restaurant Row in Eastport, Carrol's Creek Cafe is a pleasant stroll across the Spa Creek Bridge from the historic district. Carrol's Creek Cafe offers ample parking and is a convenient Water Taxi ride from Annapolis City Dock.
The restaurant is set in a lovely location on the water in eastport. I ordered the crab soup which was delicious and the salmon which was overcooked, dry and lacking flavor. The lobster was overcooked as well. The room was very loud and the service was decent.
Our first time in Annapolis and our first restaurant experience here. Chris is a dedicated waiter whose recommendations were perfect. We had cream of crab soup, artichoke and crab dip, rock fish and twin lobster tails. All were tasty and we even had dessert. Of course we would like to sample other fare, a return trip will certainly include a meal at Carrols Creek.
Carrol's Creek Caffe has the BEST food and service always!
It is always a pleasure to dine at Carrol's Creek Cafe. I brought two corporate executives there for lunch and they were impressed with the greeting, quick seating at a table with an excellent view; and the menu items and food. Our server was responsive and served us in plenty of time for a lunch where we could conduct business and conclude with enough time to get to our afternoon meeting. Five stars all around!
The crab cakes were great but not the best in Annapolis. What this spot does have is an amazing view of the harbor. Our waitresses amazing and felt the entrees were priced reasonably.
Perfect location. Perfect outdoor dining at sunset. Consistently well-prepared seafood.
Always delicious! Always consistent. We sat on the deck , which has perhaps the best view in Annapolis. Started with the beet salad and lamb appetizer. Crab cakes and the cod special. All was fresh. the cod tasted like it had been caught that day. Finished with the incredible bread pudding and peach creme brulee. Wonderful!
Great table, excellent food, attentive service, and half bottle night was a welcome surprise!
Excellent dinner out on the deck before sunset. Beautiful views, delicious food and fantastic service.
Nice location with excellent view. in the summer it's very uncomfortable to set outside on the West porch! sun too bright and very hot in the afternoon! we had to move inside. the porch on the opposite side looked nice!
Our server was a little rough around the edges, struggled to open wine, but overall did ok. still gave her 20+%
We wanted a place for a small birthday celebration, on the water, without other parties crowding us. Carrol's Creek Café was perfect: outdoor table overlooking the marina, easy to make conversation, excellent selection of seafood dishes--from raw oysters to salads to a fine cioppino. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. (And plenty of parking, which, in Annapolis, can be an issue.)
Sitting on the deck on a beautiful afternoon was perfect. Enjoyed good food, good wine, and the views.
We always love Carrol's Creek. Great staff, great food, wonderful ambiance, reasonable prices if high quality is the measure.
Always excellent out on the deck-- great service and wonderful weather. A lovely brunch experience.
The ceasar salad made tableside was phenomenal. The staff was very accommodating and I will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Sailing with some friends for a long weekend and decided to got to Carrol’s Creek due to having been there before and enjoying it as well as proximity to our marina. Everyone’s appetizers and meals were spot on. It did get a little busier/nosier as were finishing up, as the football game was over-but this was expected and one of the reasons we made an earlier reservation. Highly recommend, great menu and service was attentive. Only slight ding for me is I don’t like when plates are cleared before everyone is done dining, I feel like it rushes the ones still eating.
Very nice dining experience. The outdoor seating gives you a beautiful view of the water and the setting sun. Menu and specials made it very hard to decide - a nice problem to encounter.
Once again...best old fashioned I have ever had...watched fabulous food pass by
This was our second visit to Carrol's Creek café. The first time was outstanding. The food was great and our server was outstanding as well. As such, we thought it would be great to return for our anniversary. Especially since the restaurant sent us a very nice coupon for our anniversary month. This was not the same experience as our first visit. Our server was not very attentive. He was very stoic and didn't do a great job of explaining the specials as we had to ask several additional questions about the specials to understand them. We ordered calamari for an appetizer and it came out warm instead of hot. That is huge for us we both love it hot and crispy. Getting it warm was a definite disappointment. Our food did come out in a sufficient amount of time, but there were two issues. 1) the server didn't give a full description of the fish stuff with lobster meat so what my wife expected and what she received were very different. It wasn't bad tasting, just not full of chunks of lobster meat as described. My swordfish was okay. It could have been seasoned better. We decided to have cobbler for dessert. While it was hot, there was not enough crust as it is on top of the berries. So basically a bowl of berry filling with a splash of crust on top and a scoop of ice cream. We were left alone for large chunks of time by our server so I had to flag one of the bust boys to bring us more water. So this was not an awful terrible experience as I have certainly had worse, but it left a lot to be desired as well. Especially compared to how wonderful it was the first time. It was definitely a disappointment for our anniversary. I would recommend it to a friend, but I would certainly share our latest experience for them to be aware and hope they get the experience we had the first time.,,
This is one of our favorite Annapolis restaurants and we go here for our anniversary dinner-just like we did this Friday. The food was outstanding as usual and the service was good as the place was packed. We recommend Carrol's Creek to all our friends.
The scallop appetizer is MUCH smaller than my last visit many years ago and was over cooked.
The "fresh haddock" was dry and tasteless, I think frozen - not fresh. The rockfish was good.
The flourless choc cake was actually a "volcano" choc cake with the liquid center and NOT a flourless cake.
Delicious food, great service, and beautiful views (especially sunset!)
Went on a Sunday evening for a 7pm seating. The place was not very crowded and given that it was after Labor Day, chances are very good that it wasn’t going to fill up. Was greeted by our waiter with “Do you want anything to drink other than water.” No greeting, no introduction. Wasn’t sure if he was our waiter or not. I had to ask him his name. It was an awkward start. Drinks were good, appetizers were good but we hadn’t even finished them when they came out with our entree’s. It was 7:30 and we already had our main course sitting on the table with our appetizers. Entrees (filet and rockfish) were very good and prepared perfectly. I had no sooner had my plate removed and I was already being offered a dessert menu. We passed on dessert and figured we go into town for ice cream instead.
I appreciate quick service when I’m at the diner for my one hour lunch break but I expect a more leisurely pace to enjoy the experience of an establishment that is more upscale. It was very obvious that he was inexperienced and I understand that restaurants will use those less busy times for newer waitstaff. We all have to start sometime, but, I would also expect that behind the scenes a manager is tracking his performance. In the past I’ve often had a manager check on me when someone new is serving our table. That didn’t happen here. So while the food was very good and the atmosphere was awesome, it would have been a better experience if we had a more leisurely pace to enjoy it. The waiter will get better but management needs to do a much better job of knowing what is happening up front. Overall it was a good meal but with all the places in Annapolis to eat, it probably won’t be on my list to visit the next time I am in town.
Celebrated our anniversary with a complementary bottle of champagne on the house! Enjoyed the whole evening! Definitely will be back.
had an incredible time will definitely be back! celebrated a birthday
Carrol's Creek is an amazing restaurant to dine for any occasion. The BBQ shrimp and sea scallops (appetizers) are incredible; the herb encrusted rockfish entrée is heavenly delicious!!! And Patrick, our waiter, made our dining experience that much more enjoyable.
A nice place to celebrate an anniversary; I just wish there availability of outdoor seating on that beautiful evening.
This is a great place to go for really good seafood, well food in general. Great for kids, families, couples, you name it and it is on the water.
Excellent service, good & atmosphere!
Perfect place for a great lunch on the water! you can’t beat the views!
The crab soup was excellent as was my seafood Greek salad. Our outdoor seating was wonderful with a lovely view of the port. The service was excellent. I will definitely come here again.
Great restaurant. Food was good. Atmosphere was great. Right on the water.
This was our second visit and we're not disappointed. A last minute decision but we're still able to be accommodated with a good seat. And on top there was a special event in restaurant and we were still impressed.
The entree specials were out of this world: Hawaiian style baked halibut with shrimp and salsa...WOW.
my date ordered a perfectly made filet with a crab cake combo that was delicious, tender and presented impressively.
Our appetizer was the muscles with a broth that I won't spoil the surprise ...needless to say it was completely devoured.
The wine selection was fabulous and our server, Butters, was an expert on pairings and knew the menu inside and out.
He never was flustered and had a full house of tables to serve. He was impressive and we will be back.
Great food and service. A wide range of menu options and everything was wonderful.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! Wick was our server and he was very attentive without being intrusive. We shared the baked oyster appetizer, then each had cream of crab soup- divine! Hubby had the ribeye steak, I had filet Mignon and for dessert, peach creme brûlée! We will definitely be back!
I usually love Carrol's Creek, but I invited a friend to lunch there this past week, and I was so disappointed and ashamed of the quality of food and service. I had the SW shrimp salad and it was soggy and not very tasty. The waiter was perfunctory at best. Not engaging and certainly not helpful. Folks pick up your game -- please don't disappointment again. I hope this was just a fluke.
Excellent service. The halibut special was outstanding. Very enjoyable evening.
Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon repast.
$60 - 90 for steak was a bit over the top. Non-steak menus rather limited, but fairly good quality. Bar was top-notch .
Is it possible you might have us confused with another restaurant? The steaks on the menu at Carrol’s Creek Cafe are $ 36 and under and we have an extensive selection of non-steak and seafood.
Food was delicious, wonderful view on the outside porch and server was excellent. Would highly recommend!
