Incredible food & service.
Every time we’re lucky enough to get to visit our favorite city, we endeavor to try at least one new restaurant and almost every time, we wish we had just gone back to Carrollton Market a 2nd (or 3rd) time during our visit because it *never* disappoints. The pork belly was “last meal on earth” worthy (my dish) and my husband declared the crispy duck, absolutely sublime. While we were celebrating a special occasion this trip, we’ve always found their hospitality to be warm, generous and impeccable. We will return as often as we can to this hidden gem. Promise.
It's a pleasure to recognize 'Excellence All Around' at the Carrollton Market for brunch. We chose this spot on the recommendation of a member of our party who had what he described as the best meal of his life there earlier. We had a tableful of Graduation Celebrants for my daughters University Graduation. We shared the Cream cheese filled French Toast, then everyone had a brunch entree. Outstanding food and wonderful, friendly, efficient service. Great drink menu. What a Winner! Will go back when we return to New Orleans.
We went to Carrollton Market for a birthday lunch. We had a reservation towards the end of lunch service, but they had already started cleaning up the restaurant when we arrived. While all of our meals were great, the sound of clanking plates and the smell of the wash in the kitchen overpowered what would have a been a great culinary experience.
Carrollton Market never disappoints! The food was delicious. Cocktails innovative without being tortured. And the service was the perfect balance of attention and being left alone.
Fantastic food! Great service !
My husband and I come to New Orleans often and are huge foodies. This place was outstanding! Our waiter, the food, and the atmosphere were all fabulous! Can’t wait to come back.
Delicious entree’s excellent appetizers
Service Outstanding ⭐️
Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Uptown New Orleans. Very creative foods and flavors. The crab galette and crawfish appetizers are fantastic some of the best in New Orleans. The oyster Goodenough appetizer has been a star for many years. There are always several fresh fish dishes with great sauces. Meat lovers are not left out with steaks, duck, foie gras etc. Last night speckle trout was excellent. The chocolate pot du cream is a great finish. Very good bar with special cocktails. The service overall is fantastic, and all seem to work together well. Well worth the trip to the river bend area. If downtown, you could even take the streetcar and get off within a block at St. Charles and Carrollton
Outstanding Mother’s Day brunch. Great meal. Great service.
Wonderful experience! Never disappointed here. Food and ambiance are great. The service is spectacular!
Fantastic food, service, ambiance! Carrollton Market is quite possibly the jewel of Riverbend. If you have not tried this place, do yourself a favor and get there.....reservations are strongly recommended.
Food, drinks and service were outstanding. We were in New Orleans for business and were hoping to find a place outside the French Quarter. Carrollton Market did not disappoint. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable and never made us feel rushed to turn the table.
The whole fish and pork belly dishes were outstanding! An excellent find that I will definitely visit again when I make my way back.
The food was superb! We came in on Jazz Fest Sunday for brunch. In spite of what we perceived to be a busy weekend, the wait staff was fun and attentive. Steve was fun and gave us great suggestions! Our party of 4 shared tastes. We had cornbread biscuits with debris (great texture and flavor), stuffed cinnamon rolls with strawberries (yum), vegetarian omelet (fantastic), and the bacon burger with frites (couldn’t get enough!)
What a treat. After dining at many of NOLA’s best restaurants this week, this was a standout among them. Great unique dishes, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive wait staff and charming ambiance.
Always excellent. One of my favorite restaurants in the city.
Great food, good service though our server failed to mention about the special menu. How did I found out? Server who attended the next table was explaining all about the special menu of the day. Except that, everything was good and it’s worth a visit.
Fantastic neighborhood gem. A bit of the ride from the Quarter, but worth it. Excellent food and wine.
Carrollton Market is friendly, welcoming and local. The menu changes with the seasons. The staff were wonderful.
Try the fried oysters!
Every dish was fabulous! We sat at the chefs bar and loved watching the preparations and chatting with the chefs. One of our favorite spots! A highlight of our NOLA trip.
Fantastic meal, great service.
Was terrific! Service and food outstanding.
The kitchen is exposed and precise. The bartenders are attentive And welcoming. As it should be in all cases New Orleans. Our waiter just seemed that he was either; 1) hungover and wasn’t interested in being at work, or 2) he didn’t care. Not a big deal in my opinion. We had a wonderful time sipping, eating, and laughing. He didn’t t get in the way. I dig this place and am looking forward to having dinner and a couple more brunches.
Always wonderful with delicious food!
Fantastic from beginning to end. The food is creative without being annoyingly so. The service is attentive but not aggressive. We could hear our own conversation, which is always lovely. The pacing of the meal was particularly impressive, given that so many restaurants fail at that. The well-managed pace really highlights how great the food is. You can tell the entire team knows what they're doing, so the food can shine!
Outstanding. The food was amazing and the staff went the extra mile. My only regret is that it took me so long to try this place. I went for brunch. I can't wait to try their dinner menu.
We were very happy that we found Carrollton Market while visiting New Orleans! It is a lovely bistro with excellent service and options on the menu. I had the sea bass and it was delicious. If we lived in this city it would be on our regular visit list.
Consider dining at the counter, where you'll witness poetry in motion.
Excellent food and service
Solid restaurant: friendly / knowledgeable staff, nice local flavors, cozy ambiance. We’ll definitely be back soon.
This is one of the most outstanding restaurants on New Orleans. The food is always excellent and so is the service. Couldn't be better for me because I live only about five minutes away from the restaurant. The menu is always first class with a wide variety of choices. I recommend it to anyone.
My wife and I have been there on three occasions and every time it's been fantastic. This time we brought some friends for the first time and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent food and service in a very cozy atmosphere.
“No wonder this place gets five stars!” (13 year old daughter). It definitely lives up to its ratings!
Best meal I’ve ever had. Oysters were perfect, sea bass delicious and the beignets were incredible. Drinks were so good and Isabel gets a big shout out for the bourbon drink she made for us. Perfection
Interesting menu. good food. good service. open kitchen.
Always a pleasure . We love everything about Carrollton Market.
The food and drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was very charming, and the staff was very accommodating regarding my wife’s dietary restrictions.
One of the best meals in NOLA!!
This was my second time at this restaurant. I had a great experience the first time and was hoping for a repeat. It lived up to all my hopes. The hostess was welcoming, and called me to come back after I left my glasses on the table. Our server was engaging, funny and knowledgeable of the menu. The cocktails were great. The food was superb. I highly recommend the crab ravioli and the pork belly entrée. The salad with the Tabasco cane-syrup vinaigrette was out of this world. I could have eaten 2 of them. In a city with great restaurants, Carrolton Market stands out and will be one of my go-to restaurants. I can't believe it hasn't gotten the acclaim as some other restaurants that I find mediocre and not worth the price. Maybe I'll have room for dessert next time.
