   I had so much fun for my birthday night here. we went on jazz night and the performers were killing it, our server was outstanding, and the interior decor was so classy and cute. all my friends enjoyed their food - and the drinks were also 10/10! we went to the lounge afterwards (heads up there might be a waitlist, we had to wait 30 minutes - so I recommend going to the back to put your name in early if you plan on going in the lounge) but that was also fun. the dj was playing some throwbacks I grew up with and my friends played pool. totally recommend!

   We tried Carrie Nation last night for an early-bird cocktail and dinner. The cocktails were very good - interesting signature cocktails made with skill and quite tasty. My "Old Sport" was an excellent rye whiskey drink, served up in a coupe glass and on the sweeter side for a whiskey cocktail. Delicious! The dinner salads were mediocre: the heirloom tomato salad was almost entirely arugula and watercress, not tomatoes. The few tomatoes in the salad were bland and ordinary, not intensely tomato flavored as I was expecting. It also seemed as though there was only one variety. The few apricot slices in the salad had some pit pieces in them, - an unwelcome surprise in biting into them. My wife's Caesar salad had a very bland dressing. We both ordered our salads with added chicken, which came as a whole boneless chicken breast (except for some bones!) off to the side, rather than sliced over the salad. Not so easy to eat. After dinner, the desserts were excellent - the brownie sundae and creme brulee hit the spot. I asked for a Boulevardier to see what the bar would do with a regular drink order, not something off of their cocktail list. It was delicious and well-crafted, and a generous pour. Their well bourbon - Redemption - is a good mixer. It was a little heavy on the Campari making it just a bit too bitter, but overall a fine drink. The saving grace was our server, Brooke. She was both knowledgeable and personable, and did an excellent job of taking good care of us. We'll be back, but next time will order off their mains and appetizer menus and not go for the dinner salad. Bravo, Brooke! Thanks for making this a fun evening for us.

   The food was pretty good. The ambiance and the service could be improved. Nothing bad. Just meh. And if you are Carrie Nation, tell us something about her on the menu or someplace at the table.

   The food has always been great in the past. Last night was the exception with tough, dry meat. Our server was delightful, as were the drinks.

   I had the best baked cod I’ve ever had in my life! Met the chef to tell him that. It had a light thin coconut crust on top with a creamed pea sauce and grilled asparagus on top. My bf had beef ragu over fresh made pasta that he’s still raving about. The beef was a seasoned fall apart type beef roast that the chef said he roasts for 14 hours. Chef is from Galway and our server was wonderful. Great wine list & dark n cozy ambiance too. Definitely check this place out, prices were also good.

   Was treated to dinner at Carrie Nation for my birthday on a Friday evening, "Jazz Night". The service was gracious and friendly. The ambiance was comfortable and welcoming. It's a huge place, with several rooms and lots of bar seating. Tables were very comfortable and well-spaced so that the buzz of conversation did not overwhelm. I had one of the salads with chicken, which was not huge but was filling, and delicious. Got a wine on the server's recommendation and it was very good. Loved the music - good musicians and great listening for those who wanted to sit and listen (like me) and those who were there for socializing. This was a very nice place for an evening out. I'd definitely return.

   Server forgot our appetizer, had to mention it and it was brought out after our meals. Server never came back to ask if we wanted another drink or fill our water glasses. Nice decor in the restaurant though.

    We expected 6 to come for lunch but reservation system said we’d be charged $15 for each person not showing! Hot day so thought one or two might cancel, reserved for 5 and 2 more came who never said they would! We decided as much as the food was great, except salads, and location perfect for 3 who work within a block, we won’t return because of the draconian reservation policy.
