Great meal- first time there. It was recommended at on of our wine tastings from Rick at Alpha-Omega. Wonderful server Isabella- wonderful scallops and risotto - also has the butternut squash risotto. Topped it of with the Trix dessert. We’ll be back
Stopped here for dinner before a show at Uptown Theater. Waited in bar area for the rest of our party for 4. Service was friendly, prompt. Cocktails very good. When our party arrived, we were promptly seated. Our waitress was very friendly and spent time with the table explaining some dishes. 3 of us went for the prix fixe menu of 3 courses for $36. Everything was fresh and delicious, and an outstanding value. Would come here again on a visit to Napa.
Everything was amazing! From the fresh food to the great service!! It was our first trip to Napa and so glad we found this gem to enjoy!!!
We did Happy Hour at Carpe Diem. It never dissappoints! Ordered the wild mushroom flatbread with truffle oil, the house salad, the special shrimp soft tacos of the day and an order of harissa fries. Delicious and such a bargain with the Happy Hour discounts.
Cuisine was great, service was exemplary. However, we were charged for each refill of our lemonade (5x) and Arnold Palmer (3x) and the menu does not detail that refills are not free. That one aspect really irritated me and my friend and took away greatly from what would have been a very nice evening. To top it off, the glasses were thin in diameter and did not provide very much of both drinks. Your excellent cuisine and excellent service was marred greatly by this.
Very loud..service was chaotic..server brought us empty plates, set them out and then came back, collected them, and took them to another table...yuck! Food was good..value was o.k. Service was crazy..so many attendants running around yet nothing was in order and we would wait and wait after ordering beverages...odd..manager was running around serving and looked rushed. We've been to their happy hour and that is good..first time for dinner..won't do it again. Brought friends and were a bit embarrassed...but we laughed about it.

Great salad but downhill from there. Shortribs were poorly seasoned and just not very tasty. Carrot cake for desert was disappointing - soggy and rather bland - served with some kind of ice cream or gelato but that had no distinctive flavor. All in all wonderful service but probably would not go again for the food.
Service wasn’t great; room was cold. Didn’t think restaurant week value was there.
We came to Napa for a vacation and wanted to try some of the local cuisine. Carpe Diem Wine Bar was recommended. We are so happy we made a reservation - that is a must. The small quaint restaurant was packed. It was restaurant week so we decided to do the pre-fix menu and were happy we did. We got the Raymond 2014 Cabernet and it went well with the entire meal. My husband had the onion soup - described it as a little sweet and finished every bite. I had the salad which was so rich and filling. For the entree my husband had the ostrich burger and I had the halibut. Everything was served with finesse. The service was outstanding. For dessert my husband went for the Twix served with the ice cream and I tried the chocolate dessert. It’s the only thing that was just fair. Overall it was an outstanding evening.
