Carnivale Ratings and Reviews
Great service. Great food. When I got to the restaurant everyone or the staff welcomed me. Liked the atmosphere that the restaurant had. Made a reservation and was quickly seated.the food was good and also service waitress was really attending all the needs and request. Would definitely go back.
Although the decor was festive, the food was disappointing for the price. The chimichurri sauce on the steak was flavorless. At least they brought me an alternative entree, but too late to actually eat. I was looking forward to the entertainment, as we were celebrating birthdays, but the electric guitarist pretty much ruined it for me. The vegas-style ‘dancer’ basically walked around holding ostrich feather fans. No skill involved whatsoever. The cotton candy in a glass full of terrible caramel corn again was festive but cheap. Our waiter was all over us for the first 15 min, then disappeared for the rest of the night, so we missed our train. For $90/person for dinner and a couple drinks, I expected more. Better music and entertainers would have gone a long way.
My Wife & I made reservations for 7:30 we got there at seven it was not until 8:30 that we where finally at the table...it took another half hour for appetizers..and one more hour for the entrees. We Will Never Come Near This Place Again. On top of all this They set up the tables one foot away from each other where now you have no personal space. The Drinks Where the same no matter what you ordered they just changed the syrup. One of the worst nights we ever had going out to eat.
Went with my wife and 3 kids, even though there wasn’t really anything for kids on the menu we made it work. Service was great, food was delicious. They placed us on a balcony table almost felt like we had a private area which was great, the kids loved the view. We didn’t order desert but the manager brought a nice gift out for the kids before we left! 👍🏼👍🏼
I made a reservation for 8 pm the day prior. I didn't get a table until after 9 pm. By that time I had already decided to leave and go eat somewhere else. What's the point of making a reservation if there isn't a table reserved for me. Walk-ins were getting seated before me. Pretty disappointed.
The service was horrible. Despite our reservation we were not seated until an hour and a half later. At that time we were also seated at the worst table with no view. We were advised by Samantha the hostess that the table we requested was being held for the owner of the venue. We were disappointed even more when we saw that in fact it was not held for the owner but given to a random couple. One of the worst experiences ever and Carnivale has always been one of my fav spots in the city for several years. Don't bother making a reservation as they don't honor or accommodate them.
Went for a business dinner with 8 people on Mardi Gras. Was not disappointed! Food was delicious and entertainment was great. Service was slow towards the end of our meal, took awhile to get the bill (and they were crowded... thought they'd want us out ASAP), but so very worth it!
The food was great.. it’s not kid friendly there’s no kids meal. They split an entree instead to accommodate my kids. We went for my birthday and my husband’s birthday dinner and valentines date with our family (two kids). I noticed the tables around us had children around the same age and the kids had kid drinks with fun straws. (Kid drinks)We had the same waiter as the tables around us so I wasn’t sure why our waiter didn’t offer the same kid drinks especially since I asked for a kids menu. Instead the waiter offered to make my kids virgin mojitos a little strange.
The ambiance is AMAZING, but not amazing enough to forgive the poor service my family and I received. We were there for 3.5 hours and 1 of those hours were wasted on looking for our server, asking hosts and management for refills/menus. Our server just disappeared. Waiting so long could make any view less appealing.
