Food was just ok. But the ambiance definitely helps.

I have gone many times, but this time I was so full after eating out delicious appetizers, I asked to have our food to go before we even received it. I assumed the taste would have been the same but it seemed to be under cooked and the flavor was a bit off.

Made a reservation showed up 15 minutes early like said to do still wait 20 minutes for a table okay that is to be expected, but to wait just for a table right next to where everyone is standing waiting no. 2 hr reservation when it took over 3 hours just to serve food took over 45 min just to get a actual drink. You know it is winter in Chicago you have a curtain you can close so u guest are freezing every time someone opens the door. Overly priced for nothing extremely disappointed. Would not recommend overly excited for nothing. The atmosphere more safari then carnival. Staff must not be happy because everyone that came to our table had attitude. Service was not something id come back for neither is the food.

Was celebrating my birthday. Appetizers came out quickly but I waited a hour for my entree. Then when it came out it was burnt. Spent $140 and time for a disappointing dinner

The server was excellent. The problem was that the restaurant was overbooked you can tell the employees were running around like crazy. Our reservation was at 7:30 pm and we sat down right on time. We were a party of 4 we ate our appetizer and we each had 4 drinks and we were still waiting for our food. Finally, around 9:45 pm we got our entrées. I understand the pandemic affected the restaurant business. But I felt for being such a high-end restaurant they should have tried to compensate us for such a long wait. We ended up leaving almost at midnight for a simple dinner that should have been an hour and a half tops.

Great food, fabulous service My favorite spot in Chicago!

Food is fabulous and love the atmosphere - it is one of my favorites in Chicago. Service was a bit slow, but I think they are operating on a small staff so during Covid it is understandable. Highly recommend.

Fun and vibrant setting with excellent service. The coconut shrimp appetizer was spectacular, as was the steak special. It is very well staffed and I very much appreciated that they emphasized that guests were expected to mask up when staff were at their table. I appreciate a business being as focused on their staff well being as they are on their customer satisfaction. The two are linked!

Great service by our server. Food is great. Only down side was today’s special wagyu sirloin wasn’t tender and born marrow was nothing to eat.

Not only is the food beyond amazing, I am a mother of a high functioning Autistic 4 year old and after walking in and informing the host of our Son their was not one hesitant action. She immediately made sure my family was seated in a low sensory area which made my son comfortable and allowed us an amazing experience tailored more to our food than our son cause he was not overwhelmed. This place caters to special needs families this is officially one of our sons New Favorite Safe place to eat. Thank you Carnivale.

Carnivale is a long-standing staple in the Chicago Restuarant industry and it continues to surprise with an eclectic menu. Ambiance and service continues to shine through all of these years.

Beautiful and lively decor. The waitstaff was very friendly and the manager walked around as well. Food was delicious. We had the Arrachera and Lamb Chops and they were so tender!!

I ordered the BRAZILIAN CHURRASCO, and this was the best steak I have ever had in my life, cooked to absolute perfection, I would go there again tomorrow if someone invited me. The waitress was great and understanding, and overall I had a great time.

My experience was great. Our server did an amazing job answering our questions about the drinks as well as the food.

Absolutely amazing! Valet is not available due to Covid but there is a parking lot less than a block away from the restaurant. This is not our first time here and it will not be our last.

The experience was great, we enjoyed how colorful and full of life the space was. My daughter loved having her birthday dinner here!

First date was a great experience!

Celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary it was the best decision ever ! Our waiter was so nice and attentive he congratulated us many times welcomed us with complimentary champagne and ended with complimentary cotton candy dessert it was a great experience with even better ambiance and food def recommend steak and paella can’t wait to go back !!!

We went there for Valentine’s Day and fell in love with the place. I am vegetarian while my husband is not, he had lot of options to choose from while I had limited options but they all tasted really good !! Would love to go back again to this restaurant. Banana Pecan cake dessert is soooo good !!

The ceviche with sorbet blew my mind. I took one look and said no but my friends said yes and it was AMAZING! Everything else we ordered was fantastic. They sat us down promptly. Our waiter was great. 2 hr limit!

Went for Valentine’s Day and did the prix fixe menu. Food was great, just as the regular menu is. It’s an energetic place with loud music and painted garishly, but it is really fun and the ambiance fits the whole vibe. Love how they repainted the side of the building with a new mural.

Food was bland and server disappeared for some time, I was only able to order one sangria which was actually really delicious. Didn’t order dessert to avoid another disappointment.

It was little cold inside there I wanted to take my jacket off but I kept it on but everything else was great service food awesome
