   It was my first time here and we went for our 3 year anniversary! Not only we’re we greeted and had valet parking available but they customized our menu for our 3rd anniversary! Such a sweet surprise and showed they go above and beyond for their customers. Food was excellent! Our server was attentive and helpful too, she made everything flow so perfectly throughout our whole meal. We will definitely be coming back soon! 😍

   The wait staff was excellent. William was our server, and was spot on with recommendations as this was our first experience at Carnivore. All food choices were excellent including the wine pairing.

    I enjoyed Carnevor but the complaints I have are that everything was overly salted. I also felt very unwelcomed when entering because my party and I arrived a little early and there was nowhere for us to stand.

    Very unique decor, great service and the food was very good ... Did not care for corn in my twice baked potatoes {and it was not mentioned on the menu} ... Everything is extra so it will be on the pricey side, but in line with a downtown restaurant ... Steaks are Allen Brothers, so you're getting a top shelf steak ...

    Freddy was an excellent waiter. He made my guest and I feel at home, while also knowing the menu like the back of his hand! Not to mention, my water glass never got below 1/2 full. All courses of the meal were delicious. Definitely will be going back, and will certainly request to sit in Freddy's section.

    Dining at Carnevor was one of the best dinner experiences I’ve ever had. Amazing service, extensive wine list, and flavors to die for. We will be back many times, but I know we will be ordering the Wagyu Brisket starter whenever it is available. Many thanks to Eric and Noel for such a great dinner and anniversary celebration.

    Michael (268) was an amazing server! He made our first dining experience at Carnevor amazing. The butternut squash risotto and the lobster Mac were delicious. Definitely would recommend for a nice dinner out!

    For what is supposed to be Milwaukee's best steakhouse, I was not impressed. The dry aged KC strip was nearly inedible, but the manager did it right and comped it. On the positive side, our server was excellent and they have an impressive wine list. Just think there are other places with lower prices that are just as good.

    Good food with popular social scene. We are weekly regulars at fine dining in Chicago/Milw/Tokyo/Denver and heard positive comments about this WI restaurant - it was a first visit. We know a former sous-chef. Our server was polite to us and then attentive to other tables. Our food was slightly over-cooked. We expected something more memorable for the price point. Great place for social fun…next time we’ll choose other local steakhouses for more savory flavors.

    My date and I had one of the best meals of our lives! The food was absolutely spectacular, the ambiance is very romantic and cool, and the service was excellent! We ordered three appetizers: The beet salad, the grilled octopus, and the lobster bisque. The grilled octopus was thee best ever! The char on it was perfect while it still kept the integrity of the texture and flavor of the octopus! The beet salad was the perfect compliment to the octopus with its bright colors and robust flavor of the beets. Instead of having the traditional crumbled feta cheese, they made a creme cheese mousse that was so light and airy but still sweet. The microgreens were so fresh and vibrant and the candied walnuts, perfection! My date got the lobster bisque and said it was a very traditional lobster bisque, and he would have rather had another beet salad or grilled octopus. For the main entrees, we both ordered steak, of course. He, NY Strip with Chimichurri, and me, the bone in Rib eye with chimichurri. Both were cooked to our desired temps and the flavor was by far just heavenly! For sides, we got the sauteed spinach and the truffle mashed potatoes. The spinach was again just a traditional sauteed spinach, but still very delicious, but those truffle mashed potatoes....OH MY! Needless to say, we left with full bellies and full hearts. That meal way exceeded our expectations and would definitely go back to try more of the menu. We live in Chicago, so we might be back again soon Carnevor! Keep up the good work! You have a beautiful establishment with incredible food!

    The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The server was knowledgeable and attentive, and he ensured that we were able to craft our meal in the best way possible. The steaks were fantastic, and the only thing of note was that one of our steaks was rare in the middle, after ordering medium rare. A solution was quickly offered and the rest of the meal was amazing.

    We were celebrating my husbands birthday. It was the first time at Carnevor for both of us. The staff was very accommodating to my seating preference. The menu said “Happy Birthday ”, which was a very nice surprise (and we got to keep those menus). My husbands steak was cooked exactly as he wanted it. I had the salmon and the portion was much smaller than I had expected. It didn’t appear to be grilled, smoked or broiled. It has a thin fried crust on it. I didn’t know that’s how it was going to be, and I didn’t expect the small size for the price. Very attentive service and staff. I will say it was very dark, much darker than any other place we’ve ever dined at. It was difficult to read the menus. Because the seating is all in the front, and nothing is sectioned off, including the bar so it’s pretty loud. Overall a great restaurant and we would return in the future.
