We absolutely love Carnevor. Best steak house in Milwaukee. The only downside was they did over serve the other table making our last dining experience a very annoying one. I wish they would have a dress code to keep it more upscale.

This was quite possibly the best meal I have ever had from start to finish. I had the dry aged New York Strip Au Poivre and the peppercorn crust was incredible. My fiancée got the tomato mozzarella salad for an appetizer which was very very delectable. She then had the petite filet plate which she absolutely loved. It was the perfect serving size for her and everything was cooked to perfect. With it being my birthday, they brought out the donuts for dessert and those were so decadent but yet so airy and light.

The wait staff was also so friendly and hospitable. I don’t consider myself very comfortable with fine dining as I sometimes feel out of my element, so I always appreciate when the wait staff treats you just like anyone else.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say, nor did the other 3 people in my party. We are already planning on coming back for our next celebration!

Great food and overall service only reason I gave 4 rather than 5 starts was we felt a bit rushed through dinner.like they wanted to turn the table quickly

We decided to come back to Carnevor to support one of our favorite (if not the most favorite) steakhouse and celebrate an early Valentine’s Day. They had Covid-19 protocols in place including providing additional masks and sanitizers upon entry. We felt very safe eating there. The food was outstanding! The steaks and side dishes were so delicious. We had the Mac and cheese and truffle mash and they were excellent. Desserts were great as always. Our servers were engaging and very attentive. Carnevor is truly in a class by themselves.

overall I was not "wowed" like the reviews led me to believe I would be. The inside was cool and I did have the best brandy old fashioned I've had anywhere else before. The service was also top notch! Our main waitress had no personality whatsoever though. We started with the crab cake. It was really dry and flavorless. The last crab cake I had was at the Harbor House and it definitely not compare. Kind of disappointing. The lobster bisque was amazing though!!!. Then I had the regular Ribeye with king crab Oscar. It was extremely salty in my opinion. I did really enjoy the Brussel sprouts. The took notice of our special occasion which was a nice touch. We also received special occasion beingets which was nice of them. But overall I think we will keep trying steak places until we find our spot! We did have a good time.

Our experience was amazing as usual. We chose Carnevor to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of my Mother’s passing. She loved Carnevor and would always say we were there to ‘celebrate life’ which is exactly what we did on this occasion. The service was fantastic— very attentive. We love the atmosphere and the food is always some of the best we’ve ever had. We will absolutely be back for more. Thank you for making such a difficult day, such a wonderful experience.

I ordered the lobster bisque and steak salad. Our sides were the exotic mushrooms, sauteed spinach, and truffled mashed potatoes.

The bisque was lovely. The salad was hearty. The sides were unbelievable. You must order the mashed potatoes. I have never tasted anything so sublime!

Since it was for a birthday, they served us donuts, no charge.

We will be back (for special occasions). This place is VERY expensive.

The waitstaff was fantastic. Our waitress was very knowledgeable with menu recommendations. Everyone was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. They were so attentive that a dirty plate only stayed on our table for no more than a few moments. The manager even stopped by to check on us. The food was great too. Nice portions and good flavors.

My husband and I came up to Milwaukee for a mini-moon celebration. I had booked Carnevor based on the other reviews I read. This place definitely lived up to our expectations! We were a little early for our table reservation, but we were happy to wait at the bar. The bartender, Olivia, made an absolutely perfect dirty martini for me! Once our table was ready we were surprised with a little sign on it saying "Happy Honeymoon!" It was a nice touch. We started with the small seafood plate, the shrimp were my favorite. We also ordered the crab cake, my husband's favorite. For our entrees I was so excited to have the American Wagyu, which was cooked to perfection! My husband had the bone-in ribeye, which he absolutely loved! For our sides we split the double baked potatoes, the butternut squash risotto and the Brussel sprouts. Each were so delicious! We were shocked with the volume of food we received, and left with plenty of leftovers. In addition to the cute sign for the table they gave us the donuts, soooo good! We will definitely be making our way back to Milwaukee for a meal at Carnevor!

Anniversary dinner with the wife. Had a great time. Great food steaks cooked correctly, crab cake awesome, sides on point and desert if you have room was very good. solid service. Good selection of different drinks, go with the proud pig, and wait staff, Fredrick I believe, was great helping with selections. he was very knowledgeable about the different cuts and helped explain each. Overall I would recommend. I’ve been here a few times many years ago but the wife is already asking to go back so I think we have a winner.

My husband and I decided to have dinner here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Everything was absolutely amazing! We had the Domestic Wagyu Filet Mignon and we have never had a more perfect cut of meat! All staff was fantastic, and the restaurant was relatively busy since it was a Saturday night. But overall we loved everything and would 100% come back if we visit Milwaukee again!
