I like the food here and the atmosphere but they didn't excel this last visit. the service was slow and not as professional/upscale as the prices warrant. The steak was delicious but not hot and the food did not come out together. For the price I expect a little more upscale all around.
We had five breakfasts at Carneros Bistro as part of our package at the Lodge and we enjoyed every one of them. We had the same server for 4/5 mornings and she was great. Her name was Bella. She was always so cheerful and actually remembered our previous orders. The food was well proportioned, fresh, and attractive. We would definitely return again and hopefully be able to eat outside next time... weather permitting.
I went to Carneros for a bachelorette dinner and it was just lovely!! We had a private, quiet and cozy private room, terrific service and outstanding food. Would love you dine here again the next time I am in Sonoma!
What a DISAPPOINTMENT. We have been going here for years and they must have had a change of management. It was $200 for Easter Brunch and definitely not worth it. Service was terrible and to add insult to injury they added a mandatory 20 percent tip, there were two of us. The food was nothing to write home about and the $13 Mimosas were watered down.
The food was very good for Sunday brunch.Very pricey $$ for Sunday brunch with not a lot of variety.
I had the French toast, which was really good. My 7year old had the granola and husband had the chilaquiles. He wasn’t as happy with his choice as I was. Said there wasn’t enough carnitas in it. Service was good, restaurant was pretty empty at 9am Saturday morning. Did not need to make a reservation. Wasn’t cheap.
Great service and atmosphere. Food was just ok. Some of us loved our dishes (party of 6), most were just ok. Very overpriced for the quality of food. I would not return.
Had the most amazing service provided by rick. He was very attentive and courteous. The food was amazingly delicious. I had the Mary’s organic chicken it was cocked perfectly and the sauces o. The plate were extremely flavorful. My wife got the lechon and it was to die for. Melted In my mouth good. Cooked to perfection. They also put a birthday candle in my wife’s desert with out us asking because I did mention it was her birthday it was extremely thoughtful. Can’t wait to go back

We were there on a quiet day (Tuesday) for lunch. Had the place to ourselves. Very good service and the food was very good too. Will go back in the warmer months to experience the outdoor dining.
A beautiful interior with high ceilings and a private room that we were welcomed to for a family breakfast of 7.
The foods were also delicious - from the french toast with berries to chilaqueas and a skillet with eggs and vegetables. They have a nice kids menu as well!

The food and service was exceptional.
Unfortunately one of our fellow diners was suffering from some chest obstruction and coughed loudly through out the entire evening which ruined the ambiance for everyone present. Not much the restaurant can do about that. People should stay home if they are sick. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the setting is comfortable and attractive. They were flexible and allowed me to have an entire size portion of an appetizer for my main course, so I appreciated that.
The mandatory 18%tip put us in a bad mood. Service was slow. The dishes are just a tad pretentious and quite small. My husband liked the scallops and my steak was adequate but for the price, I'm not going back.
This was a delightful dining experience on Valentine's Day. Although it is a large room there is an intimacy with the tables nicely spaced. It had a refined atmosphere with the servers very pleasant but low key. The food was creative and very delicious including oysters, scallops, and a variety of chocolate desserts. There was even a talented guitarist playing background music that caught your attention. We left feeling well fed and pampered. We would highly recommend eating here particularly for a special occasion.

Wow: impressive. Food and beverages were dynamite. Excellent mule cocktails - nice local wine selection (glad to see our neighbors Gundlach Bunschu on the list).
Delectable deviled eggs with crisped prosciutto, pickled mustard seeds and black sturgeon caviar were fantastic (4 perfectly presented half eggs for $7: a steal)! The crispy fried brussels sprouts with apples and honey soy vinaigrette were outstanding and we are Brussel sprouts connoisseurs.
My husband's fried prawns over grits was super tasty and our mom had the petaluma half chicken over Yukon mashed, which was excellent as well! Service by Liz was impeccable!
Coffee was great and the Oreo cheesecake, topped off with raspberry sauce & fresh whipped cream and vanilla ice cream, was the perfect ending to a great meal.
Oh and bonus: Be sure to tell them if you live in Sonoma!! They treat locals right!!
We came in for a double birthday dinner and loved it. Everyone’s dinner was delicious and beautifully plated and served by Rick in a small alcove in the back. Perfect for our small group of 7. Highly Recommend.
We were reluctant due to some reviews but are so glad we decided to try it. Great service and food! So glad we ate here and plan to make it a regular.
This place is attached to a Marriott hotel. The food was ok. The menu was limited and the food was really overpriced. It did have a extensive wine list. I wouldn't go back.

Cold meat. Horrible service. Everyone received their dinners at different times.
So very disappointed in this experience. We were not told that Christmas dinner would be a buffet. The seafood bar was never adequately stocked and it took far to long to replenish it. The flatware was provided by wait staff, who were very slow to respond. We spent most of the time waiting for the food to be replenished, which diminished the entire experience. We left $250 out of pocket for two and will not return. Disappointed Sonomans....
We just had Christmas day buffet there. Usually buffets don't show well for restaurants but this one was outstanding. The food was exquisitely prepared. If the buffet can be this good then made to order meals will also receive the care and attention good food deserves. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is part of a hotel and the room is nothing special but the food made everything worthwhile. Go check it out.
Our first time for Christmas Brunch but definitely not our last. The food was great, the service the attention.

The food here is great and they try to source as many local ingredients as possible. If you are lucky enough to get Liz as your server, she is fantastic, friendly and very attentive.
Lovely lunch on Saturday. 5 of us plus a new puppy. We ate outside on the patio in the December sunshine. Food was great, fresh and tasty, well presented, would recommend. Only downside was my glass of Riesling wine which was unpleasantly sweet.

Great food selections and wine list. Atmosphere cozy yet special. The bar is low key, but has a nice easy touch. I like going to this location because it’s off the plaza, locals hang out there and food is very good.

Way overpriced for a thanksgiving buffet. Wish I had inquired the rate before we sat down. The waiters behind the buffet table were meager in serving the meat cuts and the food didn’t feel that fresh. Will never come back or recommend to anyone.
This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Sonoma. However, on a recent visit to the restaurant for a very special occasion it turned out to be very disappointing! It was a Wednesday night, the night before Thanksgiving. The restaurant was not very crowded but it took over an hour to get our entree for three people. When the entrees arrived, one of the orders was wrong. The order was placed for a steak cooked medium-well, but the steak arrived rare. The server then asked me if the steak was not cooked to my liking! The steak was rare, not what I had ordered at all. To make matters worse, my mother ordered the pork chop, which was very difficult to cut and chew! The service is usually good, but I was surprised how inattentive and blasé the staff were on that night. I hope this was a one time occurrence, otherwise my local 10% discount is not worth the dissatisfaction.

While the food was very good as was the service, the restaurant is part of a hotel - and it was near-empty. It's rare to find a hotel's restaurant that has a vibrant feel. This one did not.
