Food excellent, service impeccable a real hidden gem. This will become our new favorite place easily.
We had the brolied haddock dinner which was good. Fish was fresh and came with garlic cheese bread, cole slaw, garden salad, and I ordered mixed vegetables instead of pasta/rice/potato. I'm kind of picky about having fresh fish (vs. frozen) that tastes good - and this didn't disappoint. The garden salad could have been chopped finer, especially the lettuce - but it was still good. The atmosphere is very nice - clean, cozy, and warm. The fireplace makes for a nice ambiance. There is a separate bar area that has entertainment for those who want something more lively. This restaurant always had good food in the past. It got sold a year or two ago and was still good. However, the food went downhill after that (I heard it changed hands again). But now, it's back to being good so something must have changed. I would definitely return.
Brought our Dad to Carnegie on 57 for dinner/lunch on his 94 Birthday, which was on Christmas Eve. Service was wonderful and the food was great. Our Dad tends to be picky , but he had the haddock with french fries and is ready to make this restaurant his new birthday pick...Thank you for making our meal worth the visit. We will be returning throughout the year.
