    We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday!! She loves Italian food and Carmine’s did not disappoint! It’s family style and worth every penny!! Service was great as well!

    I would have given them five stars if it wasn’t for the male host, who made me feel like a table for 1 was a waste because they only serve family-style meals. I didn’t want to fuss, so I sat at the bar. The bar was nice, but I wanted some space to myself, and it began to get a bit crowded for me. Overall, the food was delicious, and the bartenders were good. I would visit again.

    Just know if at all entrées, desserts, and appetizers or family size. My son and I went together and it was a lot of food for just two of us. But the server was lovely and the food is very good.

    We went to Carmine’s to celebrate family members’ birthdays. Everything was top notch - food, service, and atmosphere. We ate drank laughed and just really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you so much, Carmine’s for the exceptional experience.

    Family style, meaning portions for 3-4 people per dish. We had a party of 4 adults and ordered 3 dishes. All great tasting with one meal worth of leftovers for the next day.

    I like Carmines, but it can be pretty pricey/inefficient for just two people. Our waiter, Charles, was terrific, though. And they took care of our doggy bag while we attended the theater nearby; we picked up our bag on the way home -- nice touch. Still, $155 for salad, eggplant parm and a bottle of fairly modest pinot grigio is a bit much. Again, Charles was terrific, and the food is good.

    Wonderful evening! Our server Rob was OUTSTANDING! The portions of food were unbelievable, we are from Michigan and we have a restaurant similar to yours called Maggiano’s, when we drove by your restaurant it reminded us of old school Italian. 5 stars! Thank you for a very nice evening in DC.

    We were there at 5:00 after a matinee of STC. Pretty deserted when we got there, but much busier when we left. Servings are family size and certainly would suffice for a family of four, and perhaps more. Plan on leftovers unless you have a large group and order relatively few dishes. The calimari appetizer was great. The bread tasted like yesterday's. We had to ask for oil and vinegar for dipping. The lemon chicken was very lemony and was enjoyed by some in our group for that reason, but not by others. Ravioli was nice and very cheesy, but I was surprised that we had to pay extra for the vodka sauce. Eggplant parmigiana came as a layered dish and could be sliced or taken one layer at a time. Overall a very nice, although not inexpensive meal.

    Our server refused to explain to us that the portions per platter were enough to feed three people before we ordered an appetizer and two platters of food, despite telling her it was our first time eating there. $50 dollars worth of food was wasted because we had no where to store the leftovers. She refused to accommodate us in any way.

    I sent back the veal marsala as it just tasted no good. they offered me anything else I wanted on the menu and I settled for a salad that was very fresh.

    Great food but it is served family style so be prepared to share an entree. Only complaint is I always enjoy a salad with my pasta & because of their size (serves 4-6) I couldn’t get my greens!

    Experience was great all around! The food was a great value for a family dinner of 4. The manager came around and talked to us and he was such a friendly guy. My family had a blast and we’re definitely coming back again!

    Terrible experience !! I Ordered a linguine four cheese (waiter’s recommendation for “special of the day”) and we found a FLY in the middle of pasta, after we have started to eat. So disgusting and unforgiven. I will Never come back.

    The server was unattentive. We went to Carmine's to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday and it was stated in the reservation but she was not even acknowledged. The food was not worth the amount of money we spent there. 3 of our orders did not come out and the 2 steak were overcooked after we asked for medium well, not burnt. We waited 45 minutes for out steaks and pastas and of course we ate because we were hungry. When I went to express to our server just a mere suggestion and I did start off by saying I was not trying to get anything taken off my bill, I just wanted to let her know the steak were overcooked. She said that she couldn't do anything because we had already eaten them. I just assumed that customer feedback was appreciated but I see that it isn't. Very disappointed in choosing this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday with family.
