Carmine's - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
We had a great time at Carmine’s. We were a party of 8, we were seated as soon as we checked in for our reservation and greeted immediately by our waiter. Our waiter made suggestions and answered every question we had. The food was wonderful and plenty. It was a fun night!
Food was amazing however, the service was less than caring. I mentioned it was someone’s birthday 4 times And they brushed it off as if it was not important, the very reason why my entire table was their and they shrugged it off. The bar had much better service. I will recommend the bar to anyone but not the dining room.
We simply didn’t know it was family style, and this seemed to annoy our server. The tables were pushed so close together to accommodate a Saturday night crowd that you could barely travel to the restroom without literally touching almost everyone in your path. Delicious food though!!!
Some of the best pasta we have ever had. The only downfall was our waiter was not very attentive. Brought bread but no olive oil or basalmic vinegar. Had to ask for water refills, Parmesan cheese was empty at our table we had to ask for more. We felt more like we were a nuisance than paying customers
The best steak we’ve EVER had. Went for V Day, wanted to try something new. Found Carmine’s on opentable. Great atmosphere and service. Everything is family style. The wait was shocked when we ordered calamari (yummy!) AND he 3 lb porterhouse w peppers and onions RARE. Not sure why he was so excited by that but that’s how my husband and I like out steak. The steak was beautiful tbh and tasted even better. Only complaint, I would ask for all red peppers instead of green and red. Otherwise, amazing! Next time maybe we’ll try the porterhouse contadina. I don’t like sausage but I’d be interested in trying theirs. We didn’t get dessert bc they are huge and for sharing. Will def be back.
We are from out of town and were looking for a special place to have dinner..... this was perfect!! We arrived a little early from our reservation time, the wonderful hostess seated us right away in a perfect booth!!! great service and great food to follow!! Thank you!
I love Carmine’s. Whenever I go to NYC I stop in. The restaurant in Las Vegas is hit or miss. This time it was a miss. We had the Caesar salad and the chicken scarpiella.
There was way too much lemon in the sauce and the chicken was a bit rubbery. It was just “ok” and that is not acceptable.
The service was decent but it took awhile to get our server over to order a cup of coffee after dinner. For two of us the bill was a few dollars over 100.00. Not a particularly good value considering the chicken was not well prepared.
The Carmine's might be a good place to have a family or large-group dinners. It wasn't ideal for a couple. In the dining area, they have only three or four tables for two, which are located literally in the walkway. We moved to the bar area because of the heavy traffic next to the table we were seated at in the dining area, where we had a reservation the night of the visit. We were there during a Happy Hour and they were "out" of the Margarita cocktail. I mean, c'mon, a restaurant in Vegas that ran out of Tequila and lime juice at 5 PM? We then saw them serving Margarita in the dining area, guess, it was only unavailable for the happy hour menu. The particular cocktail unavailability wasn't a problem, but the dishonesty was.
The portion size was huge, this is fine generally but nothing that was reasonable for just 2 people. I don’t mind spending money on an excellent meal but this was no where worth what I paid for. Ambiance was fine as was the service, but the food was way overpriced and not very good.
We had a 7pm reservation but arrived at ~6:20pm. We asked if possible to seat us sooner and was told about 10 min. As we patiently waited, other walk ups were getting seated and after 30 min I went back up and inquired if it was still possible to get seated sooner and the response was that they had folks just not wanting to leave. We were seated 5 min later at a table that was empty when we arrived. If you don’t want to seat us sooner, that’s cool but tell me so we can go do other things, but to make us wait and then feed me a Bull response is crap. Food was great but hostess sucked!
unless you make reservations for a big party (we had 10 people) you will be waiting. the ambience, atmosphere, décor, and people made quite an impression - all made for a fun experience. the food was more than we expected (taste and servings/dish). I wouldn't say the food was of 'another level' but good hearty Italian authentica. you can't go wrong. I will say that some of us agreed that one particular dish was a bit salty (veal dish). overall, 4 out of 5 stars.
Portions are way too big for two people so unless you can take it home, opt to eat in the bar where they told us you can get smaller portion sizes. We had the Carmine's Salad and Chicken Parm. Both dishes were excellent! Very fresh salad that was dressed perfectly. The chicken parm was super tasty as well. Service was excellent. Would recommend, especially for a group of 4 or 8.
No matter where you travel, if you are lucky enough to find a Carmine's, you will always feel like you are with family! The food and atmosphere are reminiscent of Sunday dinner at Grandma's house. Our waiter Dave was a gem and the service was perfect - attentive without being intrusive. A real skill and not easily learned! The manager, Manuel, came over to make sure all was to our satisfaction. It was, of course, but nice to see he made sure. I usually frequent the Atlantic City location, but I wouldn't have known I was at the Las Vegas location by the taste, quality of the food or the service - just as wonderful!!!
You are always going to have a marvelous experience at Carmine's!
We went for a birthday party, wanted to have a good meal before a show. The meal was great, we had pasta chicken, the bone-in prime rib. The only complaint was when we asked how many people each dish would serve our waiter said two people. The dishes were huge, they would easily feed four people. If you get an appetizer or a salad maybe for sure. There were nine of us, we ordered two appetizers and the above. Left with more food than we ate. I think some homeless people ate well as we had no place to store it.
