Carmine’s Coal Fire Pizza & CG Burgers Ratings and Reviews
Good place for couples, families, and friends to dine. Not great Italian, but good and consistent. Nice loyalty program to accumulate points for appetizers, desserts, or wine. Service is very good. Happy hour is excellent with great prices and an outstanding bar menu.
This is owned by Carmines Gourmet store where I go shopping. The food is very fresh. I especially am partial to their salmon which is yummy. Good Italian food, excellent pizza and moderate prices. Not fancy but delicious food. they have a new chef. I had chicken piccata. Was excellent and would have it again. Very generous portion but that in itself doesn't mean anything to me. Its the quality and here you get both. We plan to try and go every week as its a go to for just casual dining by yourself or with your friends
The food and service were first rate. Place was loud. They have on their website Wednesday and Friday $1.99 oysters. We arrived on a Wednesday and guess what no oysters. Manager told me if you want oysters go to Ft Lauderdale. We were is this guy kidding. No I’ll go to PGA and go to Spotos.
Never a bad meal here. Quality authentic Italian food and the creative brunch menu was an amazing surprise! The only problem was that they only had 1 server for the early part of brunch, so she was very busy.
MUST -try the Frozé ! (Frozen Rose) and Frozen Prosecco
Four of us had dinner there on a Saturday night. It was very busy but our server was attentive, took good care of us and was very pleasant.
Three of the ladies I was with had never been there before and plan to go back. They thought the food was excellent and the portions were large enough to have leftovers. Drinks were good including after dinner cappuccinos.
I have been there many times and never disappointed.
We have been enjoying the great food and service at Carmines CFP for years. All the dishes, and pizza we enjoyed were quite good. On our last visit we ordered Chicken Marsala, and were disappointed. It was not as good as we had hoped for or anticipated and had grown accustomed to. Perhaps it's as simple as a matter of taste, but that dish will not be considered when we return for dinner on our next visit. We do still enjoy dining with them.
We went to Carmine's specifically for the pizza. We started with the antipasto chopped salad. It was very good with lots of cheese and meat in a nice Italian dressing. We ordered the meat lovers pizza. It was supposed to be meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni. While the toppings were very generous we questioned whether there were any meatballs in it. According to the waiter the meatballs were chopped up. If that's the case they should say ground beef. Also, we were a little disappointed with the sauce and pizza dough. Both were lacking salt and the sauce could use more garlic and herbs. Overall we'd rated this place a 3 out of 5. Looking at the rest of the menu we will probably return to try some of the other items.
We frequent this restaurant and have never been disappointed with the cuisine. Service can be a bit sketchy if they are very busy but I can overlook that. Half order of pastas can be had and during the summer the ristorante offers various enticements each evening. Prime rib Thursday is a treat. You have to inform the server to allow guests to finish their appetizers before servicing the entrée. Sometimes the food comes flying out of the kitchen in no time.
If you like a lively upscale bar atmosphere with very friendly patrons, be sure to visit this restaurant. Their bar is located in the front of the restaurant and is a fairly long oval that has seating around the inside and outside of the restaurant. The dining room has a casual comfortable ambience that can be loud when crowded. We decided to dine on Wednesday for the half off a bottle of wine only at the bar. Once we were seated, we ordered the Insalata Caprese salad as an appetizer along with a Salmon, shrimp, and clams linguini in a what garlic sauce entrées. All of our meals were very good, but unfortunately, one of our shrimp entrees had plastic pieces in the dish. The General Manager, Shelby, had taken the entree off our bill and provided us with desert and a gift card good for a full discount on an entrée the next time we visit the restaurant. A very courteous and professional response to an unfortunate mistake on the restaurants part.
We enjoyed a great dinner of Italian food which tasted very close to my own home cooking. Very good sauce. The food was served hot which doesn't always happen in other restaurants!
Also loved the pesto dipping sauce. Overall, a very good eating experience.
We'll be back.
I've had better experiences here, but Carmine's has not been up to par lately. My husband had to go to the front desk to ask for a server after 20 minutes of being seated. Apparently the osso bucco was good. Our friend's steak was OK. My husband's lasagna was cold and doughy. My scallops and pasta--the pasta was excellently cooked but the dish had five of the smallest scallops I have ever seen (I had to search through the pasta to find them). Our water glasses were never refilled. Most of all, the service should not have been in question; as the restaurant was not full. Our server was nice, but she seemed a bit inexperienced and overwhelmed.
