Carmine's - 91st Street - NYC
Food is very good just don’t over order waiters tend to push more food than you can eat unless you want a very large doggie bag
Best Dish Steak Contadina
Usually visit Carmine's in the theater district. It was a nice change and food was excellent as usual.
This is a great place to meet friends and enjoy eating different dishes without having to stick to just one
entre. Since you get to share a variety of foods its more fun and encourages conversation. We were eight people and all were very satisfied. Try it you'll like it.
Took the family for my wife’s birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was great as was the service. We will definitely visit again in the near future.
Absolutely the best Italian I have ever had in my travels. It was authentic and the staff our waiter was amazing. I would come back to New York just to eat there. This is a must and I recommend eating the one at Broadway at 91st the original spot where it all began.
Nice place, good food, good price!
Very nice meal, large portions. Waitress advised us well so we didn’t over order. Very attentive service, and food reasonably priced.
We had a great dinner. Our server Charlie was the best! Awesome service.
This was my second time, however there was the one guy that was walking around before our main course came out, still working on the appetizer he wanted to pack out food up. We told NO we are still working on the appetizer. We just felt rushed by him. I mentioned it to the host and he told us we can stay as long as we wanted. Again, the same guy came wanted to packed our food up. My husband got super annoyed asked for the check packed our food up and left. And told us never again. Our reservations was @830PM and we left 945PM annoyed.
Chicken Constadina was overcooked.
Charlie, our waiter, was great! He was attentive and made sure we enjoyed our experience. And the food was great! (As always!)
Always a great time, great food and service. Anytime you have anyone visiting NY you mist bring them here.
Carmine's is always a stop for me when I come to NYC.
Order took a very long time and when it was served was dry and cold. It was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen for some time before it was served. Very disappointing.
It was our mother’s birthday and we wanted to do something super special and since she rarely goes out to eat, we decided to take her to Carmine’s, and it was the best decision. Food was amazing and our mother who is so picky couldn’t get over how amazing the food was! She loved as we all did!!!
Spectacular food at reasonable prices explains the crowd. We dined with our daughter who had bragged about impeccable service. We seemed to catch a shift where they may have been short on waitstaff. We saw very little of our waitress and twice declined food that had been ordered by other tables. Still, holiday decorations offered a beautiful setting for the largest shrimp and best chicken Marsala I’ve ever had.
Service prompt and attentive food well
Prepared server recommended magnum of house red didn’t ask the price but was astounded when the bill came and it was $150 for a house red
And porter house steak, while prepared to our request was served Luke warm on a cold plate instead sizzling hot plate . Even though this is not a steak house most top rated restaurants who charge $100 for a steak would not serve on a cold plate p
We were a family of 9 for Thanksgiving dinner. My mother and I ate at the Times Square location 3 years ago and knew we had to bring the rest of our family to enjoy this wonderful restaurant. The place was packed and felt joyous and the decorations were beautiful. My only issues were the pasta was a little underdone and the alcohol was slow to be served and the servers had too many tables in my opinion to be attentive enough for the size of the tables being sat. Otherwise, it was a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and I would do it again!
Excellent turkey dinner & service. Restaurant was extremely crowded& loud , other wise a great dinner .
I have eaten here several times before, always when I visit NYC. However, this experience was not like the others. The wait staff was horrible, the ambiance I always loved and spoke highly of was gone and it was very disappointing.
Thanksgiving- great food and service but they definitely rushed you. Clearing the table while people were still eating so you couldn’t even add to your plate since w it was already packed up.
Our waiter was wonderful, the food was fantastic and we can’t wait to visit again! Loved the festive holiday decor as well!
Loud. Good food. Staff is rushed and hard to run down. Skip the wine.
Affordable and exact right amount of food for our group of 7!!
Our visit to this beloved establishment was long over due! Entire experience was just as I remembered from past visits. Was a nice way to kick off the holiday season . Staff was very friendly and did an great job . Thanks
Our service was fantastic! Food and people great!
Food & drinks were amazing! Love the recommendations the waiter made, the Salmon and drinks were out of this world!
What’s the point of making a reservation for a certain time to be told we have to wait and I didn’t get seated until the THIRD time I complained. 9pm reservation didn’t get seated until 945. Unacceptable. Nothing given to me to compensate. I have been to super exclusive restaurants in nyc. Your reservation time is set. You walk in and are seated. Not here.
We had a great time at Carmine's. The restaurant was packed and busy but it was a Saturday night and to be expected. They had our reservation ready at the designated time which was appreciated since the waiting area was shoulder to shoulder. Our server was great with suggestions and attentive to our needs. We will return.
Food is great and a good value. My server and all of them were fantastic!
The front has to find a better system for handling reservations and timing.
I love the place!
It was overall a good experience but waited 45 mins past my girlfriend’s birthday reservation we showed up at 830 but not get seated till 905
It was good. The other tables were loud around us but overall good.
loved the food. Staff was great. We had a great time. Will return next time we visit NYC
Excellent places to eat and have a wonderful time!
The waiter was excellent and the service was good considering the volume of people in the restaurant. The place is noisy. A party of two better decide to share a dish because the portions are family style generous. It's a great place for a large group because no matter how noisy you are, others are more noisy. If you want an intimate quiet dinner, this isn't the place.
It was a Thursday night. It was very very crowded.. Hard to hear each other across the table.
Carmine’s never disappoints!!! Charlie was our waiter! Excellent is an understatement. Service was A1. The Manager Steve made us feel like VIPs. His treatment of Carmine’s customers is like being hosted at your best friends home!!!! That is why I keep going back with family, friends, co-workers and business associates. Great job!
Seemed like a place for bigger families to celebrate an occasion. Portions are huge and pretty good for the value. It’s not exactly fine dining.
I’ve always liked Carmine’s. But this time I took my friends who have never been there. They enjoyed everything about it. This restaurant can never disappoint. Will return here. :)
