I have been to Carmines in the past and it has always been a great experience. However, yesterday’s experience was disappointing. I had mentioned to the staff that I was there celebrating my son’s 21st birthday and to congratulate 2 of my guests that had gotten married the day before. The staff did not come out to celebrate my guests as they did at other tables. Some of the orders we placed were not available. According to the waiter they ran out. There was no special accommodation for the inconvenience of running out of an item that was on their menu and my guests were looking forward to taste as it was recommended by the waiter. The wait staff did not come frequently to check to see if we needed anything, water, clear out extra plates etc. Like I said disappointed at yesterday’s experience. Must be fair. Although the experience was unfavorable the food was pretty good.

Always a great meal at this location. I'm here at least 3 times per month. The family dinner celebrated my Mom, Carolyn's 77th bday. She passed 7 months ago but was surely at dinner the other night! Thank you to the staff as usual everything was great!

Love these family-style Italian restaurants, and Carmine's is one of the most popular. Food is quite good, really and the portions are ridiculous - have never seen so much calamari in my life. And the huge "tugboat" dessert sundae I understand is a mini version of what they call the "Titanic" - scary! All in all a smart way to feed a group, sharing the entrees and all.

Our waiter was exceptional and very personable. The chicken special we had was delicious but way over priced. Also we received bred pudding that came out burnt and we notified the waiter but it was not taken off our bill. Very disappointed!!

Food whilst tasty, arrive lukewarm. Ordered the calamari as a starter which came with bolognaise sauce to dip. It was pipping hot and a great combo. For mains we had the chicken park which arrived warm, roast potatoes, warm, and broccoli which arrive hot. Was very disappointed.

The food was ok. The sangria was horrible! Had reservations and made us wait to only get a small table for 5. The waitress saw we were not happy and moved us to a more appropriate size table. Then waited another 20 minutes to take our drink order and only after I chased down a waiter did they come over. The experience at the Times Square restaurant was completely the opposite.

Our favourite NYC dining experience. We love it. The bustle, the food, the noise! Absolutely delicious (but simple) pasta and sauce. We didn’t like being seated in the strange (and deathly quiet) downstairs room and asked to be moved upstairs - where the life is! We’ll be back!

Mi experiencia fue mala, la comida estuvo bien como siempre, el problema fue el servicio, tomaron una reserva para 7 a las 21:45 y apenas llegamos nos dicen que a las 22 cierra la cocina, comimos un antipasto, fideos con albóndigas y un tiramisu en tiempo récord 50 minutos. Nos trajeron la cuenta cuando estábamos por el primer plato. Para comer fast food mejor ir a mac donald. No vuelvo más, mejor ir al de times square.
