Carmines has been one of my favorites for years! The service was not as up to par as usual but....I will be going back SOON!
We had not been there since 2018 because that experience was horrible. Happy to report, last night was perfect. Service, food, vibe, everything was top-notch.
Dined outside, very comfortable setting with some fresh air, heat lamps and covering.
The reservation was very easy to make the location was not far from Broadway where we saw Phantom of the Opera the drink we're really good the food was excellent but most of all Gabby our server was phenomenal
blooming amazing food , enjoy the whole evening
We always have a great time food is excellent . Service is always great ! Just need larger water glasses. WAY. to small
salty food. quality of food went down dramatically
Great service and fantastic food! Served very quickly and hot!
Great food great service. I celebrated my daughter's birthday there and we had a wonderful time.
The red sauce is delicious, the shrimp parm is the best I’ve ever had.
Food was excellent! Portions was excellent!
Server very pleasant but seemed to forget several ordered items during the course of the dinner
We celebrated a birthday at this location and was an excellent place for a family style meal!
Carmines could use a better wine menu. The generosity of the food was amazing! It was also delicious.
Honestly, I've been dining at Carmine's 91st St for over 20 years and this is the first time I've found the service to be below average. The staff/kitchen seemed entirely in the weeds for a 4:30 pm reservation. I understand the restaurant was very busy, but it always is. We rarely saw our waitress. Our drinks, both rounds, took forever to come. We got our salad immediately, but then the entrees were so staggered that we completely finished eating one before the next one came. Looking around the restaurant, I saw that experience at several tables. It was the first time I've been disappointed in an experience at Carmine's.
Everything was wonderful.
The ambiance was amazing, food was amazing, a bit busy but the waiter was so nice and hilarious.
Amazing food friendly staff. Highly recommend
Great place to eat with family, portions can be shared, family style, very nice!
Food was amazing. Penne vodka is highly recommended. It's a loud place. Good for a big table to share everything. Price was very reasonable
Quality of food has dropped
The hostess was rude, the food was salty, the rule of having to wait for your whole party to be present is ridiculous and they have a 90 minute rule once you sit down you have to be out.
U don't go to Carmines for the ambiance. Food is plentiful and good. The staff and waiter was super quick to try to get us out. Constant asking if we were done. I know they need turnover but we were still drinking our $56 sangria!
Veal was chewy, like leather, no wine glasses for the wine, just a 4 or 5 oz. Water glass. Expensive wine in a water glass. A side of spinach was enough to feed 10 people. Just a weird dining experience with poor quality of food.
Consistently a great experience. Always like to include first timers to Carmine’s in our party. The food, ambiance and the friendliness of the staff makes you feel like Grandma is making dinner for the entire family.
I love carmines. The ambiance, food and service is always on point. Don’t hesitate to book.
Love the family place restaurant. The food is good and a lot. Need to go with 4 or more to Est all.
No one came to our table for 20 minutes after we were seated. Then it took more time to get served bread and water. The food was delicious but the extremely large servings are not suitable for a couple going out for dinner.
Hugh portions, server was very informative.. classic New York feel.. highly recommended for a large group…. Very inexpensive to be honest. We ended up leaving with a lot of food due to the large amounts they serve per dish.
Carmine’s is a New York tradition. The food is excellent and PLENTIFUL. The service is great. We have been going to dinner at Carmine’s since the early 90s.
Good value with family size portions, great service.
you cant go wrong, larger than life delicious portions to fill you up
Awesome place for generous portions
Food was amazing. Alex was super great, patient with my family. My whole latina family was super happy with the experience.
It’s family style of course which is a plus. The food was just ok overcooked chicken Marsala. Shrimp were not spicy as stated sauce too thick. Would not go back. But the service was good
Seated quickly in nice location. Great waitress and staff. Very festive atmosphere. Bread and oil served quickly. Entree VERY BLAND. had to and a ton of seasoning.
Wonderful evening. Service was good but noisy. Need better acoustics to muffle the sounds. Still our favorite place to dine
Great food and terrific ambience. We arrived an hour early and they were able to accommodate our group and get us seated - fantastic customer service!!
I think it was just a bad day. The server was great he tried to get a manager to changed my table that was too small with those large portion plates, when no manager came he took it upon himself to move us to a better table, so the servers made my day
I did not order anything because
I lost my appetite so my daughter ordered chicken parmigiana mind you the table bread was cold so she also ordered garlic bread. I had a beer calmed my spirit and ordered some mussels.
Birthday for son. Service was great. Pasta was outstanding but the chicken Marsala was average at best.
Carmine’s never disappoints!!
