Disappointed with service and food. Felt rushed by the server and she was annoyed at our questions about the menu. Food was all family style even the food allergy and vegetarian/vegan options. We had 1 gluten allergy, 1 vegetarian, and 2 regular diet people in our party. Had to order gluten free family style (feeding 2-4) and same with vegetarian which alot wasn't gluten free and vise versa. Was not easy to find common options and being forced into family style was not a choice we were happy with. Had we known that first we never would have eaten there. Would not go back.
Group of 8 after Rockettes Christmas Spectacular! Food was delicious! Huge portions served family style ! Spaghetti and meatballs so good but also loved the eggplant Parmesan . Loved it
Everything about this place was perfect! We can’t wait to go back!
Annual nyc trip with family
Awesome food and server! Loved it!!
First class service and amazing food ! Thanks for an other great food / wine evening with family !
everything was delicious aa usual. been there few times and to one in atlantic city. place is beautiful, staff and waiters are courteous and pleasant, service is timely and food is wonderful
Great family style experience! The perfect place to eat after a show!
CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE - Every Christmas season my family goes to Carmine’s for the great festive atmosphere, holiday decorations, great food, and great value. Pasta with bolognese sauce is excellent as well as the Chicken Parm. The price at this Family-style restaurant was excellent considering the amount of food and drink we had. The only negative I saw was they must measure their alcohol with a jigger for drinks on the rocks - even with ice, the short glass wasn’t even 1/3 full.
We took our annual Christmas trip to the City. I was really happy to get a 2:30 reservation so close to Christmas. We were given a window seat!!!! What a score !!! The food was wonderful, our waitress was awesome, and the table was the BEST. Thanks Carmine's for making our get away that much more special !!!
The food never disappoints! Everything was delicious. Our server was not that attentive and kept rushing us. Wanted to take dishes away while we were still eating.
My 62 Birthday
I’ll definitely go there again. Everything was good. Alot of food. 1 dish should be enough for 2.
I visit Carmine’s every time I’m in nyc!! Their food is delicious & the ambience is hustling but beautiful! Our waiter was friendly & efficient. I will be back again and again!
The service was horrendous. It took over 30 minutes to get the check, no one checked to make sure our food was OK, and the veal was terrible overcooked.
Patty was our waitress- she is awesome.
We come every year. This was our first trip to this location.
Love this place, my wife and I go everytime we're in NY. Love it!
Excellent food..took home lasagna and chicken marsala gave only one small piece of bread disappointed in that
Most meals are for sharing. Great late-night/post show meal! The place was full but still quickly served; and service was great!
The service was terrible-very rude waitress and the Manager was unapologetic. The worst service I have ever experienced-very very rude serving staff and management
A fantastic New York experience for our first visit to the Big Apple!
The place was packed and pretty noisy but that never became unbearable. The food itself was mediocre but there was a lot of it. One portion of lasagna can sustain a small army for a few days, so if starvation is your only preoccupation this place has you sorted. For fine Italian cuisine look a bit further to the West where much better quality is to be found.
Wonderful wait staff...very attentive and friendly. Beautiful restaurant decorated for Christmas. The food is amazing!!! Large, family style servings....so delicious! The manager personally delivered and served our meal. Definitely will come back! Just wish there was something comparable in Dallas/Ft. Worth!
Food was OK. However I thought the food at another restaurant a block away is better.
Great food and service! Very festive! A must at Christmas time!
nyc trip with mom and friends
We had a disappointing experience as our waitress was terrible. She brought out manicotti with so little red sauce, we asked for more, she forgot, asked her twice more . Almost 20 minutes wait and manicotti got cold. She never came to refill our drinks. She referred to meals with a “what are we having gang”, “ what are we drinking?, “ she claimed she had five other things to do. She put many many circles around how much to tip on the bill. I tipped her less than 10 per cent and she should cherish that. A terrible waitress that many would refer to as “ airhead”!
I'm from NJ and have been to Carmine's many times. It's touristy, but fun, and we were there this time with out of town guests who asked to go. Food wise, the chicken a la Romana was spectacular but the eggplant parm was really dry. The salad, like both dishes, was plentiful and we had lots to take home. Our waitress was friendly and helpful but extremely busy so we had to wave her down if we needed anything. We had a rez and were seated exactly on time, which was a miracle since the place was packed to the rafters, uncomfortably so. This is not the place for a quiet, relaxed lunch or dinner, but it's Carmine's and the pushing and bumping and noise are part of the experience. The only negative is the upstairs ladies room which could really use some work.
Penne vodka w/chicken was outstanding
Amazing food and service! Huge family style portions...a little pricey but you’re in NYC! Highly recommend!!
Always amazing food and great service! Make the trip to New York every year just to go to Carmine’s!!
Carmine's is so much fun and the food is amazing! It has consistently been one of our most favorite New York restaurants when we travel there from Arizona.
We won a Bottle of The Best Wine of the Menu given by the Couple who were at the other table next to us! It was AMAZING!
Best Penne à La Vodka we ever esten there! And best waiter too! It was OUTSTANDING !
Experiencia excelente con una atención esmerada y solícita! Los platos son superabundantes, de los que de uno pueden cenar dos o tres fácilmente! El local siempre lleno y por algo será!
Excellent and Fun!
Food was good but too many tourists for me. I prefer a quieter and more intimate settings which serves better food. There are a number of better places in NY for Italian. Not bad, just not special. I much prefer Carbones.
I booked a month in advanced and at first i had 13 people and they coulnt fit was at one table and at two different times.. But in the day of arrival two peoole backed out and that left us with a party of 11 so when we got to carmines i explained our sistuation snd they gave us one big table a stairs for my party of 11.. No wait .. And the table was round and i loved it better bc i got to talk to everyone at my table.. I love the round tables.. Carmines in times square is the best carmines.. My waiter was hands down the best waiter.. He was funny and so nice also he was very patient with my party of 11..
Whenever we are in NY we always dine at Carmine’s. The food is fabulous and so is the atmosphere. The staff is always very pleasant. Love this place it never disappoints.
