First things first, when they say it's a large portion, they are not kidding. Each plate can easily feed 2-3 depending on the meal. We didn't think they would actually be as big as the staff said, having heard similar things before at other places and it not been the case. And yet despite the massive portions, the food was simply delicious. I haven't had spaghetti that good in years and the cheesecake was divine.

Food is really nice, portions are huge. They do make it clear that these are to be shared but even a side of garlic bread comes and it’s an entire loaf of bread. Service is really bad, you won’t be sat at your table until 20/30 minutes after the time you booked and front of house staff are very rude.

This is my second time here. I came here last year with my family, on our trip to NY, and this week, I went with my friend on Sunday. We flew to NY for 4 nights, and I made reservation 2 weeks prior to our trip. The restaurant is a gem in the Times Square area. You would never believe you can find such a high end place, in this area. This is a beautiful restaurant, with a delicious food. The plates are HUGE! They do not have small plates, everything is for sharing. The service is amazing! The ambiance is gorgeous. It is almost impossible to find an empty spot without a reservation. I really recommend trying this place.

It was a good meal, but huge family share portions. Would be better with a large group to pass the platters around. Great location, but really noisy and it took about 30 minutes to get seated for our reservation, but overall a great meal, but a little on the bland side. We had pasta with olive oil and garlic with Chicken parm.

If you’re looking for an authentic Italian restaurant with a delicious variety of foods, large portions and good service, this is the place. GF options are available. Desserts are huge and oh so good! We enjoyed manicotti, vodka sauce on gf spiral rotini noodles with sausage, cheesecake and the chocolate tarts.

I think the restaurant was very busy for Sunday for our visit. There was not enough attention provided by our waiter. The drinks did not come as ordered. Food was ok, the penne vodka was under cooked pasta. I know this is very tourist attraction. But more attention by our waiter would have been nice.

We ate at Carmines back in 2019 and our waiter and entree was so good. We ate in Las Vegas once and they didn’t have the entree we had before. We tried it again on June 8 and the food was just okay not anything like our first experience. Our waiter didn’t seem totally focused on us. We are comparing it to the first time we came. Maybe it was special. I would probably try somewhere else.
