About

Thank you for choosing Carmine's Midtown. We are located in the heart of Times Square on 44th Street between 7th & 8th Avenue. Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. With "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of home-style antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's!

Food was good. Service was horrible! Waiter didn’t know what a it mean when I asked if the salad came “chopped”, took 3x asking for a refill on bread (finally came after we finished dinner, water refill was practically nonexistent and for a family restaurant they’re supposed plate the food to each patron and they just threw our order in the middle of the table and walked away.

Food as always very good. Predictable each time. You will not be disappointed.

But it is kiotic during prime lunch times and a never ending line of tourists. Know that you will not have a leisurely time. They want you out to turn the table.

Food was not good. The quality was not there. Over priced tourist trap. Years ago I could not wait to eat there. Now I would never go back. That’s as honest as it gets.

We have eaten at this Carmines 3 X. If you make a reservation they really stick to your time and your seated right away. I definitely recommend making a reservation. The penne vodka was $40...which is plenty for the 4 of us to split but it was very garlicky so I didn't eat to much of it (and I like garlic). The next time I will say less garlic. Chicken Marsala is amazing. I even ordered one to go home with for family dinner the next day. I would say 3 adults to split the chicken Marsala. Overall great experience and that's why I keep going back.

Salad was almost entirely iceberg lettuce, underripe tomatoes, bland dressing. Garlic bread was overcooked in our opinion, too crunchy. Spaghetti and meatballs was good. The large portion sizes make it very awkward to order for parties of 4 or less. Better either be in a big party or everyone agree what you want on every course.

My girlfriend and I were on a day trip in the city from Rhode Island celebrating her birthday. I made the reservation based off of countless reccommendations from friends and family, and those recommendations were 100% true! The food was amazing, the service was great even though it was crazy busy, and the view of Times Square is the best. I would definitely go again if I was in the city! Thank you so much for such a great night!
