We've been coming to either this or the uptown location for over 25 years, and this place definitely does not disappoint. The prices, as everywhere, have increased, but the portions are still rather large, and as such, a good value for a family. The service is excellent. The custom drinks and the sangrias are excellent! Very predictable and never dull.

Don’t come here if there are only 2 in your party. This is a great place for a big group but they don’t let you know when you order garlic bread that you will be getting a platter of bread that could feed a family of 8. Food was good but not great.

Our server Luciano was fabulous!! Food was amazing😋 We had a party of 10 after my daughters college graduation! Seriously was shocked when I saw the bill because I expected it to be what it was🤣 We had the hot antipasto & Carmine's salad to start. Then chicken marsala, ragu (sausage, meatballs & braciole) w/spaghetti, spaghetti & meatballs (yes more meatballs cause they're so freakin delicious), rigatoni w/broccoli & penne w/butter. Finally desert was tiramisu & the titanic (chocolate/vanilla ice cream, strawberries, chocolate torte, nuts & whipped cream) drinks. Simply amazing❣

This place is great! We had reservations for 5:30 on a Friday, and when we arrived the place was already packed and hopping. Large portions. Our waitress let us know that one entree was plenty for two, and it was more than we could eat. Two thumbs up!

I was afraid that it would be over hyped but honestly it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The service was excellent and the food outstanding. It was the best lasagna I’ve ever had. The only warning I would give is that it is big, a bit loud and very lively. We loved the vibe but maybe not for everyone.

Authentic Italian, food made with fresh and authentic products. The food quality is superior to any restaurant. My family enjoyed the ambiance and the fine dining. I recommend Carmines to all visiting NYC, it's a must on the to do list.

Carmine’s never disappoints! The family style portions are ginormous so if there are only 2 or 3 of you in your party, plan to take leftovers home or leave them behind (unless you’re all football players, then never mind). We just found out that desserts can be halved so that’s exciting!

Belle adresse de Manhattan. Prix correct pour des plats toujours bien remplis. Par contre, je n’ai pas l’habitude de critiquer le service mais cette fois ci j’ai du me fâcher sur place… une employée qui ne voulait visiblement pas travailler. Toutes les tables autour de nous étaient dans la même situation : pas d’eau, pas de pain même en réclamant plusieurs fois. Un comportement insolent de cette personne qui nous a gâché le plaisir. Mais c’est l’exception qui doit confirmer la règle puisque le reste du personnel était adorable.

I made a reservation a week out. We were having friends from overseas and we had to wait about 30minutes for our table even with a reservation. We were given a table upstairs next to a storage room. The table was dirty, the storage room was very dirty and the door was open. We requested another table and were told that wouldn't be possible. My friends from overseas were very disappointed. We will never go back to Carmine’s.

Best Italian I have ever been too. Generous portions and great food. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Would return to NYC just for carmines if I didn't have to fly from the U.K.! If we're ever back we're sure to come here again.

I’ve been to Carmines many times and am never disappointed. Everything from a cocktail to dinner was yummy. We ordered chicken marsala for one of our selections. We weren’t crazy about the sauce, but overall we enjoyed it. I made reservations with no problem. This is a good pre theatre restaurant. Just know that the concept is to get you in and out. I would recommend.
