Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. Restaurateur Artie Cutler crafted Carmine's with a singular vision; bringing his guests abundant portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast.

    The food was phenomenal and there was so much of it that we left with bags full. The staff was awesome, they held our reservation and kept the kitchen open at closing time. We brought some friends that had never been to Carmine’s from Florida and they talked about going back as soon as we left. 5 ⭐️… will make it a point to come back every time we are in town

    Carmine’s is very large seating. And packed on a Friday post theater shows. Reservations a must. My bartender while I was waiting was great. Really good guy. Sorry I didn’t get his name. Reminded me of shorter Vin Diesel. But I digress. Each dish feeds an army. We had chicken parm with pasta and then a couple meatballs on the side. It was, hands down, the best chicken parm I’ve ever had. Meatballs were great too. Really great value. Waitress was tops on a busy night. Took time to educate me. During a busy night, she gets extra points. Loved my first visit. Cannot wait to get back. Thanks again.

    Staff and service was great. Drinks were good. Food was not good at all. Calamari was nothing special and way overpriced. Seafood pasta was garbage. Would never recommend this place for food.

    Absolutely fabulous experience ! We travelled in from Uk and we were recommended this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint! The atmosphere, staff and food were all perfect ! The food sizes are massive so make sure you’re hungry ! Try the blueberry mojito it’s awesome and the Prosecco rose was perfect. Thank you for a great evening.

    Reservation at 5:15pm for 3, checked in at 5. Told to wait outside in cold (until 5:45pm). Once seated, hostess put our group of 3 at a table for 2, crunched between table of 5 and table of 3 (who had the right size table). When I walked up to that manager to politely tell him the situation and point out three (3) ppl cannot fit, a hostess abruptly interjected very angrily “we don’t have anything else, you’ll have to wait.” “The manager” told the hostess “it’s okay we’ll figure it out” and told the hostess to leave. 5 minutes later another hostess starts waving to me to come with her to the front. After passing 3 open/cleaned tables suitable for 3-4ppl, I asked what was wrong with these? This hostess angrily says “they are reserved!” I HAVE A RESERVATION FOR 40MINUTES AGO, WHY ARE YOU DOWNPLAYING MY RESERVATION?! The hostess kept walking towards the front where there were no more tables but high tops and the bar. So I stopped walking behind her and asked where we were going, which sure enough was high tops. I told her no, I HAVE A RESERVATION FOR 3 PLEASE SIT ME AT A TABLE FOR 3. At this time multiple hostesses are seen flustered, ignorant, talking rudely amongst themselves and telling my mother-in-law and pregnant wife to go wait at the front again. Out of nowhere another “manager” starts screaming angrily at me to stop yelling at her staff and pointing, saying she will not help me if I’m acting this way. After telling her the situation, she walks away, comes back, and what do you know… sits us at the very first table I pointed out was open when the hostess tried sitting us at the bar area. All of the waiters/waitresses laughed at the situation telling us they would've done the same thing, “it was rude to try and squeeze you in to a 2-seater”. The experience after the fact was okay. But getting past the late reservations, waiting in cold, and AWFUL attitudes of hostesses is not worth it! WHAT’S THE POINT OF A RESERVATION IF THEY DON’T HONOR IT ON THEIR SIDE?!

    While dinner did not start off well (had to wait in a very long line to check in-even with a reservation), followed by another nearly 40 minute wait after our reservation time, the rest of the evening went well. Jay at the door went out of his way to get a chair for our elderly mother and Andre was a great server. Portions are extremely large! The tirimusu while not 100% traditional was a good dessert. Bring your appetite and a group to enjoy all the food.

    We had a 4:00 pm reservation and it was nearly 4:45 pm until we were seated. We were made to stand on the street in the cold. Overall, we l9ve Carmine's and eat here regularly. However, the wait to be seated today was ridiculous and not one staff member apologized or emphasized.

    Wonderful food!!!! Just extremely busy due to holiday season. Seated 30 minutes past reservation time. Hard to find a spot to wait without being in the way of others and staff.

    I went early before my reservation I thought I good go to bar and order drinks and order an appitizer but there was no room at the bar and the small tables were being used for people ordering dinners

    Well known NYC restaurant was a great choice for our family vacation for the Christmas season. Our server was very attentive and helpful especially considering the restaurant was packed! Very loud but actually the noise was part of the holiday fun especially with children Food was very good, portions are huge so we shared as our server suggested

    We were at carmines on 200 west 4th street yesterday. I have tried to call servers times and never got to a person. I have a few complaints. We’ve gone to this restaurant quite a few times and we are from UPSTATE NY and this has been our go to since before covid. We brought our family to visit what we thought was our favorite place. We got there they had 10 people sat for our 12 group. Our food was entirely cold, we barely got service our drinks were late, our food was late and our waiters name was Egbert. While he was polite everything about the experience was awful! Our food was cold, our chicken was awful ( we don’t like complain about it) I’ve worked In a restaurant and know how busy it is. While I let that go, we didn’t even get our food packed up or our check for almost 30 mins after we told him we were done, had to ask for it 3 times. Then we come home today, 2 different cards were given to the waiter and he CHARGED one card twice!!!!! That’s a 500$ bill on one card!! Unacceptable, especially since we left him a cash tip!! I have left a horrible review on google, and TripAdvisor for this restaurant. I hope I’m able to speak with a manager ASAP about a refund of some sort

    Stuck in a corner in middle of waiting queue. Also- No accommodation for a solo diner with family style menu… too expensive as a solo diner with food wasted. They need an alternate option. I’m a loyal customer when I travel to nyc but I might not be going forward

    We ordered the Veal parmigiana. It looked good. The Waiter cut up portions and left. It was warm but the cheese had already hardened. As busy as they were if we sent it back we would’ve starved. So lesson learned. No more Carmines. An expensive mistake.

    The food was amazing especially the Porterhouse Steak! I loved even more that our waiter was considerate to ask if we had evening plans, which we did, so he can add some speed to his service.

    The freshest, most delicious pasta anywhere!! Free bread/focaccia for the table was delicious. The strawberry shortcake is outstanding! Moist pound cake with piles of whipping cream and fresh strawberries. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!
