   Delicious family style dishes. We had waaay too much food. Be sure to come hungry and ready to wait a bit to be seated, the place is always packed but well worth it.

   Food was okay, not great. Portions are HUGE so a great place to share. Really enjoyed the cocktails as well.

   I was very disappointed in the quality of some of the items we received. The Chicken Parmigana had only a little sauce and cheese over a McDonald's McChicken patty, the Lobster Fra Diavolo was not spicey, the lobster was overcooked and dry, the penne a la vodka with chicken had only a little chicken and flavorless vodka sauce. Been a long time customer since Carmine's opened and the food has gone downhill. Won't be returning.

   My husband and I came here Saturday May 3, 2025. Our server was wonderful. As others have stated, portions are huge and served family style on large platters. Best to come with at least four other people with entrees that look like they could feed six people. Prices appear high for each entree and other food items because they feed so many. We had the eggplant parmesan and mixed green salad. Both were huge portions and excellent. We had a table of five next to us who could not finish the same salad we had to give you an idea of the portion size. Unless you have more people with you or a way to refrigerate and heat up leftovers, it may not be worth it for you because there will be a lot of food wasted. We were headed to a play and staying in a hotel without a way to reheat food so wasted a lot. While we loved the food and service, we would only return if bringing more people with us so the food is not wasted.

    Hostess staff was wonderful on Sat nite - very accommodating and met our reservation on time. They gave us a lovely spot - and being my visiting niece is mobility-challenged - it was so respectful! Thank you. Our waiter was outstanding! We had theater tickets and he made sure that our entire experience was well timed and enjoyable! The only concern was that we ordered mixed seafood ($100) over pasta and the single lobster tail was open, the meat was missing and not in the sauce - although our waiter assured us that it was. The mixture contained a few clams, a few mussels, some shrimp and 2 crab legs. We didn’t pursue this but you may want to note to the kitchen for future reference as the gentleman dining next to us ordered the same dish (but with the red sauce) and his order was overflowing with seafood! Our dish had about 1/4 of the seafood that this single diner was enjoying! We spoiled my niece with a chocolate dessert and even shared it with the older man next to us! A floor manager came by to check on our experience and we shared that it was wonderful! Thank you for keeping Carmines in business! I have been enjoying the upper west side location for many years!
