We felt really disappointed by our recent visit here, food was below average and waiting staff were not attentive at all despite having loads of staff on.

This was my second time at this location and it was just as amazing as the first. We ordered a Caesar salad, chicken parm, and marinara with angel hair noodles. It was a lot of food but for four of us, it was perfect. Great location near our hotel and perfect for before a show. Will be back in the future.

The hostess was extremely rude. Then we were given a broken table where one side of the table tilted down and the person sitting there would have ended up with food on their lap. It was so loud I couldn’t hear anyone except the person directly next to me. Our waiter was great and specifically told us how large the portions sizes are, which was nice because I’ve heard they usually encourage you to over-order. We got one salad and two entrees which was more than enough for seven women. The food was good enough but was not anything to write home about. Overall an ok experience, but I would recommend Sardi’s more.

It was my daughter’s 18 birthday yesterday and we drove 6 hours from MA to Carmine’s NY for dinner and to see a Broadway Show. We had very poor service from our waitress Taylor. Our children’s drinks were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The adult drinks were not brought over until after our meal was delivered. We had asked for bread, which again did not arrive until we were already half finished with our meal. I told the waitress it was my daughter’s 18 birthday and we were here celebrating. There were many other customers celebrating birthdays as well and the wait staff sang happy birthday and brought over a small dessert. However, our waitress did not do either and just brought us the check. I informed the manager we were not happy, not that anything could be done at that point. Food was delicious.

Must visit restaurant in NYC. Jamey took fabulous care of us. The portions are family style and very sharable. Great time!

Eaten here a bunch of times… this time, the food was mediocre at best. Baked clams and veal parm were both burned. Very disappointing.

The food is very good and the atmosphere has a great ambiance especially for dinner before the theater. I go every time I visit New York and my last visit was three years ago. The prices are still fair especially for the amount of food being served. I did feel rushed during my meal and NOBODY came by during our entire meal to ask if we needed anything else. The waiter who initially assisted us help the people about a foot away and never looked at us or asked if we needed anything. You can do better Carmines, don’t lose the customer service!

Great place for a large group because it's family style. This time, we only had 3 people and we went for lunch. Even though the restaurant was only half to 3/4 full, they sent us over to the bar to wait (for 5 minutes.) We had a reservation so I thought that was weird. The table they gave us was next to a window that they were doing construction on. The construction was noisy and the room was noisy with people talking, so we decided to eat at the bar. The bar area was quieter and has a lunch menu with smaller portions (including sandwiches) and cheaper prices. Food was good - one "complaint" was - my friend ordered pasta with sausage and she thought she was going to get an actual sausage, but it was ground up in the red sauce. The staff members were friendly and efficient.
