Overall our first time experience was moderate. Two main reasons for my rating. First, it took a very long time, more than 15 mins, to be greeted by our server after being seated. Once we met our server, it was noticed that he walked past our table several times before coming over. Secondly, a manager came over to our table a few minutes after we completed our meal and paid our bill to instruct us to leave our table due to another party needing to be seated in our area. This is an understandable request due to it being a Friday evening, however the manner in which she request and her tone was extremely tactless and unprofessional. We understand this is a staple restaurant in the city and holds many celebrations and events, but saying “I know you all are having a good time but we need you to get up because we need this table and the party is downstairs” is not acceptable. I recommend that your management staff undertake hospitality and engagement courses and/or training. For this reason, I do not feel that I will return.

Carmine’s had delicious food but at family sized servings to share. My friend and I had lasagna. It was great! The bread they served was delicious. The chocolate ice cream we had was the best we’ve ever had! Although we were grateful that one of our servers recommended that we only get one entree to share, that same server wasn’t as enthusiastic with us compared to another pair of ladies sitting next to us. We would have appreciated the same level of treatment from the server.

Reservation was not honored by the restaurant as we had to wait over 30 minutes for a table Restaurant needs better oversight of their reservations as the receptionist was overwhelmed and unable to see us in time for our show

Thi is by far the best Italian food I’ve ever put in my mouth. The calamari is outstanding so do try it 👍 . If you have multiple people do split the spaghetti and meatballs. They are a masterpiece on a plate. If you’re a kid like me you have to get the Shirley temple it is the best in all of New York and the best I’ve ever had. All in all carmines is one the best Italian places you will ever visit. - Xander M

We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Very dry, hardly any sauce asked for more. Table was off balance but was fixed promptly. I just didn’t feel the food was very good.

First time there. We went while on vacationing in NYC. The food was outstanding. Service was amazing, very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend. Make sure to book in advance.
