This is a nice place for a special occasion dinner however the prices prohibit me coming more than once a year or less.

We got seated next to the bus boys station because we are older women. We had reservations. The waiter wasn’t very friendly. The bus boy was great. The $10.00 drinks were small. The steak was too salty and I like salty food. The potato was soggy. We usually go to The Precinct, but thought we’d try your restaurant. We were always treated well at The Precinct. We’re retired teachers and can’t easily afford nights out often. Disappointing evening.

Every morsel was fantastic. From the first taste is bread and butter, the salad, the sides, the steaks and dessert. Each taste was one to behold. The service was more than attentive, courteous and kind.

Always outstanding! Staff is top-notch, attentive, friendly, and well prepared. Food is amazing, not a huge list but don't need to when everything is so delicious! Love the variation of decor and style, lot of neat Cincinnati heritage decor too.

Absolute bomb. Of course it’s a costly place but very well worth the money. Excellent food, perfect service, and most of all a very cozy ambiance.

My wife and I dined at Carlos and Johnny's Saturday April 14th for our anniversary. Everything was outstanding. I had the steak Collingsworth and she had the seabass. Both were fantastic! the service was the best. If you are up for desert try the butter pie or cheesecake and can not go wrong with either. They were great. I cannot thank the staff enough for making our dinner special. Yhanks again!

My porterhouse was just OK, for the price. The other three people with me really liked their filets, though.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary at Carlo & Johnny Friday night and had a wonderful experience! The food, drink and service was over the top. We had a great evening! Highly recommend!!! Thank You!!

Our waiter Kyle was excellent he was very helpful and friendly. Also very knowledgeable with the wine list.

Pricey, but you knew that before you went. Food was oh so good, and shareable portions were just that. Largest oysters I've ever seen! I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Always a great experience at CJs. The valet group is always friendly; particularly after you have been there a few times and they get to recognize you. The waiter (Dan) was one of the best we've had there. They knew our previous preferences, and even though it wasn't on the menu, they had the tomato soup and creamed corn we like made special for us. Manager was a little more visible than usual and had a friendly conversation with us. Younger guy. Always appreciate the service, food, and atmosphere. The table was one of the best we sat at in our 20+ times right next to the fireplace in the back room past the bathrooms. Not that we ever have a bad experience, but this is one of the best. Definitely have the macaroni & cheese and ask for the habanero tomato soup. Delicious.

Our server was very knowledgeable about their menu and explained how the menu you was laid out. The steaks we're cooked perfectly and we're delicious. My husband and I will definitely visit again.

The service at Carlo and Johnny's was what you would expect from any higher end restaurant. However, the server (Kyle) was very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food itself was somewhat subpar (in comparison to Jeff Ruby's downtown). The lobster was incredible, but the steak was mediocre. Overall, the quality and service were enough to bring me back. I would rate it 4/5 stars.

Jim was an amazing server! We had a fantastic meal and will certainly return soon for more! The live band playing set a lively and fun tone for our dinner, which was prepared wonderfully! The only downside was the succotash

Everything was good until we found a hair in our food. Not just any hair, but a public hair. They did take it off our bill and gave us a new one plus free desert but to tell you the truth I did not trust eating it. Not coming back.

Outstanding all-around experience. And probably the best filet I’ve ever had.

Superb service. I can’t say enough about how perfectly attentive the servers were. Somehow the valet knew which was my car and delivered it even before we asked.
A very nice evening. Food was very very good though I preferred their earlier preparation for the sea bass.

Easter brunch...fantastic!!!

We have been here for dinner, and everything is always wonderful. So.....I was very much looking forward to Easter Brunch. I have to say I was disappointed. The service from beginning to end was absolutely terrific. However, the food was okay, but not at all what I was expecting. I would have liked more options and better quality of some things. I will definitely go back for lunch and dinner, but I don't think I'll do a brunch again.

My husband and I have always loved Carlo and Johnnys for dinner! Their food, service and staff are always fabulous and exceeds expectations every time. We travel often always looking for a steak that compares to Carlo and Johnnys but it never fails, Carlo and Johnny's wins every time!

This was the first time we went for Easter Sunday Brunch. The staff was great. The food was really good (especially the gravy) but not very hot (almost cold) which was disappointing. My business partner felt the same way. It was also disappointing that we couldn't have Mimosas before 11 a.m. I think that should be in the reservation information.

The lighting was very dark (great for dinner - but maybe not for breakfast) which made it a little more difficult for a buffet. I also got the made to order omelet, hoping it would be hot but the chef didn't cook the eggs all the way through so I couldn't eat it. The pastries were out of this world!!

I am not sure we will back for the Sunday brunch but dinner is a definite yes!

We love the Easter brunch normally. I was looking forward to a custom egg white omelette from the omelette station so that was the first place I went. There ended up being a bit of a wait because one of the chef’s burners wasn’t working so only one chef was cooking. Then when I got my omelette it wasn’t thoroughly cooked, some of the egg whites were still runny so I couldn’t even eat it. The other items on the brunch were good. It was just the initial experience with the omelette that was disappointing. Considering how nice of a restaurant Carlo & Johnny is, I was surprised one of their chefs wouldn’t know how to properly cook an egg white omelette.

As usual food was excellent, but 2nd time now somewhat inconsistent. Both steaks ordered medium rare, substantial difference in how one was over cooked compared to the other. This has happened before, last time I sent mine back. Top quality beef though, as well as everything else.

My boyfriend and I came here for a dinner date and we were pleased for the most part. The atmosphere was great and the service was great. We were disappointed with the food a little. Salad was amazing and so were the side dishes. But since we been to the precinct recently we were disappointed with steAks. They were undercooked and charred quite a bit. For a two hundred dollar dinner we were a little disappointed but we still enjoyed it.
