    One of the best meals I’ve ever had! The steaks were perfection, but don’t ignore the side dishes. The mashed potatoes and truffle creamed corn were absolutely phenomenal! Our server, Christopher G, was the icing on the cake. Very attentive, personable, and fun, plus full of knowledge about the restaurant and the building itself. We WILL be back and we will request Chris as our server every time!

    We celebrated our Christmas Dinner Date early and had a lovely dinner with the best servers and delicious food and wine. So perfect! Every detail was taken care of and the holiday decorations we so nice. We had an amazing time and highly recommend Carlo & Johnny’s. My favorite Jeff Ruby restaurant!

    Christopher and Sam were attentive and entertaining servers- the food was superbly prepared and no one was rushed. It was a relaxing and enjoyable anniversary dinner. We'd go back again and again each year.

    Food was below average for a Ruby’s experience. Service was a bit slow and the quality of the steaks wasn’t as good as it usually is at a Ruby’s restaurant.

    We had a very enjoyable evening at Carlo and Johnny’s! It was worth every penny! Everything was excellent from the service to the food! Our server, Jak, made excellent suggestions for us. He suggested a new salad on the menu and it was delicious. He was very attentive and went over and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. He assistant, Chris, also did a superb job! They worked very well together and seemed like they really enjoyed their jobs! We will definitely be visiting Carlo and Johnny’s again.

    Our server Mike was wonderful. Our steaks were amazing! Could not have had better. Would not recommended the artichoke appetizer as it was deep fried (as was shared with us) and had piles of red pepper flakes that were did not see!! Mushrooms are better when simple. Did not enjoy them with the steak as they over powered the meat.

    The steak was way over salted. The prices were very high for the quality. At those prices I should be wowed, but I’ve had better seasoned steaks at the Outback. On the plus side - I could tell the quality of the steak was top notch and it was prepared perfectly medium rare. Maybe since I had a smaller steak (with lobster tail) they were heavy handed with the seasoning. I was only able to eat half the steak. I certainly wouldn’t go back.

    Service was unbelievably slow. The manager who ran this operation retired and the service has gone down significantly. The steaks were not hot when served which is uncharacteristic of this restaurant. We even had a struggle with the valet getting our car. Radically disappointed for what has always been a great experience. BYW Carlie(former mgr) was apparently called out of retirement to run Rubys downtown. Heading there next time!

    Gabby the hostess greeted us. I remembered her from previous years. A lovely young lady and very professional. Her blonde assistant seated us and was very courteous making pleasant conversation. Kurt was our waiter-We have had him a few other years previously-Excellent-Efficient-Professional-Friendly-Knowledgeable. I desired an Oregonian wine and his suggestion was spot on. Delicious! Gabby walked by and I commented how much I liked the table and room's atmosphere. She immediately ask permission to put this information in our personal notes for next time. Dinner was superb. Kurt made sure my salmon was cooked exactly as how I requested. I am a fussy eater and prefer my salmon to be extra well done. I realized that each plate of food is a reflection on the chef and he cooked it exactly as I and Kurt asked. I sincerely appreciate both their efforts. In other restaurants I always have to send it back to be cooked more which ruins the entire affiance of the dinner. The salmon presentation was wonderful and it tasted divine. The Matradee stopped by to say hello and wish us a lovely Thanksgiving-very friendly. Thank you- We will definitely be back. Best regards-Holly Robison

    We had a wonderful experience at Carlo and Johnny celebrating my husbands 40th birthday and our 8th wedding anniversary. The food was phenomenal…we had the oysters, Caesar salad, Steak Diane, The Esiason, and the carrots and truffle creamed corn for sides. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. But truly the best part was the service. Paul was our server and from the minute we sat down til the minute we left, he made sure every detail of our meal and experience was absolute perfection. We could not have had a better date night. We will certainly be back and will be requesting Paul when we return!

    Our server Sarah was wonderful. Attentive but not overly attentive! My only complaint was it was so cold inside. Food was amazing as always. They need gluten free bread.

    This was my friend’s and my first time here. Food was delicious. The service was phenomenal. The staff at the door, the bar, the table service were all top notch. It makes it worth spending more money when the service is excellent. The FIXX BAND performed while we were there. They were great! I will budget for a dinner out there again soon! Not average steak house prices but they weren’t average steak house steaks.
