The location was very busy, always a good sign. All employees connected with this visit were overly friendly and accommodating. Although the food was very good the pizza was not my favorite type. Don’t let that stop you! I would recommend to all
Food and service was excellent.
The bathrooms need updating.
Our favorite authentic Italian place on the east side. Always our top pick for date night. Half price bottles of wine on Sunday, can’t beat this place. Pizza is out of this world.
I went here for an early Valentine's day dinner hoping to try their wood-fired pizza which won 1st place in the "Best of Milwaukee" 2017. Overall the food tasted fresh and not pre-made or like it was previously frozen. Except the pizza was just bland. I was not impressed. I usually don't judge a restaurant by its decor or ambiance but this place should invest a little money in their interior design, its just tacky in my opinion.
Delightful & scrumptious! Serenity met our every need, was prompt, courteous, and welcoming. Met the owner as well. The veal marsala was extraordinary! Great wine list, too. We were treated to tiramisu since it was a B'Day celebration. That was unexpected and very kind.
Only downside is finding parking in the middle of winter on the east side. Oh well :))
Consistently excellent service every time I have visited! Delicious food, pleasant staff, nice ambience. Our server this weekend (Happy) was the best!! Can't wait to go back. Definitely check this restaurant out!
this is not the first time we go here....we went for my 83rd birthday along with my two children (46 and 42). great food and good wine.
Reliably good food. Attractive decor. Pleasant staff.
Carini's is a family-owned, neighborhood restaurant with fabulous Scilian food that draws people from all over the city. Food is cooked to order, and don't be surprised if the chef comes out to say hello.
Excellent food! Authentic Italian food! Casual atmosphere!
After reading several reviews of this restaurant, I had high expectations and was eager to try it. The place was homey, and obviously a gathering place for locals. The highlight of the evening was the service which was excellent. The food, however, was a disappointment. Everything was too garlicky, even dishes that were not advertised to be so. I ordered the scampano. The pasta was dry and without oil, butter or sauce, and the 2 shrimp were over-cooked and very tough.
Originally from Chicago, where there is a large Italian presence, we are used to great and authentic Italian food. This experience was less than optimal.
very busy on a Saturday night but Open Table got us a reservation and we were seated within 5 minutes of expected. had pizza for first time and crust was perfect (chewy without being undercooked and sauce and toppings great. I like a little more sauce out to the edges but my 2 companions loved it as is. server was polite though rushed and took time to joke and greet with us. another great experience!
This was our first time there. Every course was delicious! We will definitely be back.
Awesome , great Marsala and best Spumoni
Our Saturday night dinner with friends (another couple) was enjoyable. The 5:30 atmosphere was cozy but not crowded as the restaurant filled quickly. (There was one party of 16, so this may not have been a typical weekend night. I was able to request that my olive oil and garlic sauce be prepared 'easy on the salt', recommended by my doctor since I am recovering from a minor heart attack -since most marinara and alfredo sauces are prepared in advance. Our young waitress was very pleasant and accommodating . Portions were large enough for three of us to take half our entrees home. Prices were moderately high, but the food was high quality and service excellent.
