At Carini's you cannot get any more authentic than being in Sicily. In fact Peter, owner/chef, comes from Sicily and takes pride in all that he prepares. Many of the dishes are prepared the same way his mother cooked them. He uses the freshest ingredients and can customize any dish to your liking. His expanse menu offers 5 kinds of spiedini, seafood, pasta, chicken, veal, vegetarian, appetizers including calamari, octopus salad, antipasto plates and much more. He has many imported desserts plus his homemade tiramisu, cannolis and casatta, a yellow cake infused with rum and filled with cannoli filling and glazed. Peter also sells his spaghetti and marinara sauce, garlic olive oil and seasoned salt from the restaurant as well as gift baskets. All of the products can be shipped anywhere in the US. The restaurant can accomodate parties of any size up to 140 people.

    Enjoyed dinner very much. First time visit, though we have lived in the North Shore for decades. Didn't realize it was there. The food was very flavorful. Service was excellent. Meals were a little more pricey but everything was just made and fresh. Offering a small salad or cup of soup with dinner might be a nice added touch even if it added a few $$ to the total cost. The fresh bread and garlic oil was wonderful. We will be back.

    Great staff, great cocktails, very mediocre food. $25 pizza that sounded delicious and could have been had it had more mushrooms, less and more evenly spread cheese, cooked proscuitto and probably a white base vs red. $32 carbonara was heavily creamy, not authentic Italian - def Americanized.

    A first visit but it won’t be the last. Our party of four each had a different entree and everyone loved what they had. Appetizers and salads AND drinks were wonderful. Our waitress was the best we’ve had in ages. We weren’t rushed and our food wasn’t either. Really a perfect evening. Thank you!

    Our server, Isabella, is a gem. The appetizer of Mozzerella Marinara was hand made and perfect in our opinion. Our entrees of Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmigiana and Fettucinne Alfredo were all delicious. Our experience was delightful. We will be back.

    We were looking forward to eating here for years. The food was Old World, Sicilian, exactly what we were expecting. If we didn't live 240 miles (round trip) away, we'd eat here monthly, at least.

    Went for a nice Italian meal - got an Italian meal. The wood-fired pizza oven was out of service. Not a big deal for us, but the hostess did not tell us and left it the wait staff to let tables know. I heard the staff apologize to many tables where some was trying to order a pizza. (and yes, you are able to hear a lot of what is occurring at other tables). Had the hostess shared the info it would have saved the guests and staff time. Our app and dinners were fine but nothing special. My wife's eggplant was soggy and she did not finish it or want the leftovers. I ate all my pasta, but only because I was hungry, it was just okay. Our server, Kate, was the highlight, she was pleasant, attentive, and apologetic (she shared the kitchen was backed up and our meals were going to take longer than expected). They did take a little longer, but not so long as I would have complained. The Tiramisu to wrap up the evening was below average. It may have been homemade as advertised, but I doubt it was made that day.

    The 4 of us had excellent dinners. Aracini appetizer was excellent. We had spiedinis, fettuccine with ital sausage, veal parmesan, chicken parmesan wonderful salads and a good bottle of wine! Highly recommend!

    The special, lasagna ravioli with champagne cream sauce, was absolutely delicious. Chef Peter does a wonderful job and he always comes out to ask how the meal was and talk to the customers. And the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating.

    Enjoyed our first visit to Carinis. Two of us had fettuccini with clams -- excellent. The other order was chicken parm which she liked. Will return soon.

    Food was fine, our 2 cocktails were not great, service was good and friendly but a 3% credit card surcharge was a bit weird for 2023. Haven’t seen that anywhere in a while even at farmers’ markets. Wouldn’t go back.

    I sent my son who has autism for his first time being out on his own. He was with his date for Prom and were having dinner first. It was a great experience and he loved it! Our relatives are close friends with the owners and I'm happy to still see the restaurant thriving and doing well. #RIPJOHNCARINI

    The calamari appetizer was excellent, lightly breaded and served hot with a side of marinara sauce. The shrimp tortellini was delightful with the light cream sauce, plenty of shrimp and Cremini mushrooms. The spinach salad was also amazing with a very large piece of salmon on top. Will definitely be going back!

    What a gem of a restaurant- we had a fabulous meal at Carina la vinca d’oro! So authentic (it helped that a huge group of Italians were having a get together in the Porticello there) and homey. Two of our party had the wood fired pizza- fantastic crust and flavors (the homemade Italian sausage is YUM. The pasta ( I had the puttanesca) was YUM with a perfect savory blend of garlic, tomatoes, and white wine sauce - I’m hungry just writing about it. The Arancini appetizer was delicious. Be sure to leave room for the homemade cheesecake. It’s limoncello on the menu but our night it was a light citrus and blood orange glaze. It was probably one of the best cheesecakes we have ever had. We enjoyed great service from Lisa “Chardonnay”- what a great server! She was friendly, efficient, attentive, and personable- we felt like we made a friend. We kept mentioning all night about what a great meal we had. We will definitely be back!

    Wonderful service. Forget her name but our server was a professional. Food is ALWAYS great. Peter cooked chicken speidini for us. Was not on the menu! He also came out to see how everything was. Have never had a bad meal there. Highly recommend. Tell your friends too.
