Absolutely delicious
Great food and wine.
Bread that was extra was stale and not warm. Then came the prestressed salads we saw waitress pull from fridge where over dressed. Salmon was over cooked and dry . Veal was only good point.
I went to Carini's alone on a cold winter Thursday night in the midst of the pandemic. Although Carini's seemed to be doing a good take-out business, the dining room was nearly empty and I felt safe as houses there. I ordered a glass of red wine, a lovely pizza with cheese, onions, prosciutto, mushrooms, and eggplant, a dish of spumoni, and an espresso -- a perfect neighborhood-Italian-restaurant meal for a snowy night. All the staff members were masked, and the restaurant was scrupulous about pandemic restrictions. Everyone was friendly and solicitous and I was perfectly comfortable dining alone. lA lovely, cozy neighborhood restaurant, with the best Neopolitan pizzas in town!
This restaurant is top notch! The food was absolutely delicious. They gave us free drinks because the kitchen was a little behind... they treated us like family!
Wonderful service, great vibe and incredible food. Absolutely loved this place.
Excellent food ...home cooked southern Italian recipes
Good food plus good service equals good experience!
A 5 star meal. We will return. What an Italian treat
Awesome family owned restaurant. The service and food were outstanding!
And the chef came out to greet us after our meal. Definitely deserves 10 stars! 😁
First out in while due to Covid. Felt quite comfortable there. Food was very good--the rice ball appetizers were okay but the wood-fired pizza is unbeatable. That's why go there, right? Also had the Bolognese which was also very tasty. Prices are reasonable. Service was excellent. Have been there once before and would return.
Excellent food, good service very acomadating with special seating needs
Food is outstanding with the service to boot!! Highly recommend!!
Great service and great food! We will be going back.
First time ever here. We made a last minute add to our group size from 4 to 8 and they were more than happy to accommodate. Service was more than attentive, food was good, value was crazy good.
The mussels and tiramisu were by far the favorites.
I really hope the make it through the pandemic when my travels bring me in this area more regularly. I’ll be back.
Really wonderful food! Would highly recommend eating here!
The food is delicious and the staff is really friendly!
Very good food and service
Family owned restaurant. We've been dining here since they opened in 1996. Very conscientious about following COVID-19 protocols. Please support this business.
The lamb chops were absolutely the best ever! I am looking forward to a return visit.
Very good food and friendly staff, will definitely be back
Really delicious food, and service was great. A great local destination
Best meal in a long time! Great service and I will be back.
Love going to a family owned restaurant, but when the owner or the son isn’t cooking you can tell. The food is great when they are cooking, but when they don’t it’s just good and this was my experience this time.
So delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly!
We had pizza and lasagna both were fabulous. The wait staff was very attentive. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. A well run family establishment. I highly recommend for quality Italian food.
This used to be Italian restaurant, not anymore, I got 3 different plates on my table, one was clear glass, one was with Mexican design flowers and the main dish was white.
Clear glass plates??? Wtfff???? In a restaurant?
No table covers and the pasta was absolutely undercooked!!!
Not going back again.
Fantastic authentic margherita pizza. Delicious veal parmesan and fettuccini Alfredo. Friendly staff and fun decor. All around a 5 star experience.
The food was very good. Specials were great. Good portion sizes. Service was prompt despite the place being busy. The pizza was very good as always.
Nothing special and expensive. Went out with wife. We each got one drink and pasta entree. No appetizers and no dessert. $100. No worth it.
Valentine’s Day
We made Valentine's Day reservations for Carinis and were pleased to get an early time slot as we were attending another event at 7:30. Things didn't start well as the wine selected was "out of stock". Overall the food was just ok with the exception of the soup and tiramisu which was excellent. The Caprese salad was bland, tomatoes tasteless but perhaps we should have known better than ordering off-season. The bread was not warm (perhaps we shouldn't have expected it to be. Our server was very attentive and quickly refilled diet Pepsi when the class was empty. The Veal Parigiana was ok as was the pasta that accompanied the main dish.
food is consistent and the soup choices are among the best I have ever had. Always courteous and friendly service.
I've never been to a finner Italian restaurant in Milwaukee. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, the food was excellent, our server was fantastic (and deserves a raise for it!), and the place was charming. I never sign up for rewards programs, but for Carinis I didn't have to think twice.
Exceptional food and service. Fresh everything! We arec alreadyvplanning to return.
I have fond memories of incredible meals here. Sadly, that experience wasn’t repeated recently. It’s just basic Italian with too much grease and too little seasoning. Everything was over-sauced as well. The service was good until she took my wife’s plate without asking if she was done. Unfortunate.
Always wonderful food and time to visit with the Carini Family
Carinis is always a wonderful experience with delicious authentic Italian food.
This was an amazing experience. I visited Italy awhile ago and this easily compares if not exceeds
the real thing. Our chef came out to ask how everything was. it was delightful and the food, service and choices were great.
Unfortunately, the assistant waiter banged the back of one of our guests with her serving platter, then almost poked her in the eye when trying to deliver plates to the table. Tables were way to close to allow proper service.
