Second visit while visiting Hartford. Fond memories of our first visit several years ago. This time? Sorry. Clams casino were barely warm, I should say that undercooked is clearly better than overcooked, but 4 expensive clams and not quite a classic recipe.
My wife's carbonara was a murky mess, too much very busy content. If there was egg, cheese, and bacon it was not discernable. My veal, with cool polenta underwhelmed.

The kicker? Unreal and unexpected price of wine by the glass.

Great place for a birthday celebration. We enjoyed the whole evening....plenty of time for drinks, appetizers and our meal. Will go again.

Went for Valentine's Day, food was outstanding, I had Filet and Lobster as main dish with spinach and mashed potatoes, if I could have licked the plate I would have :) . Started with a meatball appetizer with Ricotta cheese that was all world. Kristine had pasta carbanora which I had the luxury of finishing later that night. We haven't been to Carbone's in a while and wondered why we don't go more often. Wine is priced very fairly and the Grand Marnier is up to par and the expresso martini was excellent.

Such friendly, welcoming service and amazing food. They said they had been there for 80 years! I’m glad I searched this place out on a short overnight stay in the area- it was well worth the detour. I had a hard time deciding between a pasta dish and the braised short rib which I chose in the end. It was cooked perfectly with incredible cauliflower purée and greens and paired with a glass of Sangiovese. If they had the cauliflower purée on the dessert menu I would have ordered it for dessert. I’ve never had any purée that tasted so good. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be back for the pasta and another amazing meal.

Went to Carbones to celebrate Valentines and the food and service did not disappoint. Great appetizers including a raw bay scallop special which was outstanding. The veal chop Milanese was cooked to perfection. A great place for any day or a special occasion!

My wife and I eat out quite often. Whenever we leave Carbone’s we wonder why we go anyplace else!
Delicious food, wonderful service and a very relaxing atmosphere. What more can you ask for.

Went for Taste of Hartford. Food was excellent. Service was mostly very good, but had to wait a short while to put our drink order in. Otherwise, everything was excellent from beginning to end.

This was our first time dining at Carbone's. The food was outstanding and the service was wonderful. I rated them high on value given the fixed Taste of Hartford menu for $20.18. We will definitely return for a date night or gathering with friends.

My boyfriend and I visited tonight for CT restaurant week. It was amazing! I had the salad, the tenderloin steak, and the chocolate raspberry torte. As well as a bottle of Chianti. My boyfriend had the arancini, chicken piccata, and cannoli, as well as two roads on draft. Everything was phenomenal. Tony was our server and he was an absolute gem. He was courteous, professional, kind, and had the loveliest demeanor. I felt like the hostess didn't treat us very kindly because we are quite young, but we work in the service industry and Tony treated us like gold. Everything was well timed and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back.

My niece Alison Colli, her husband Paul, daughter Katie and my late sister and I have always enjoyed Carbone's. It is a favorite of ours and we are treated exceptionally well by all at the restaurant.

This meal was part of Taste of Hartford restaurant week(s). The meal was as expected . (I have had it in the past.) I also ordered broccoli rabe as an extra, prepared bitter - it arrived as requested. Open Table put the wrong date on the reservation (seems to be a pattern there), but Carbone's adjusted so that I got credit.

Carbone’s is a classic Italian kitchen. My wife judges all restaurants by the calimari and Carbone’s tips the list.

Always a pleasure to go to Carbone's Hartford. Wonderful atmosphere and always fabulous food. Drinks are also excellent. We love Carbones and go as often as we can. You can't miss with Carbones.

As always, Carbone’s never disappoints us. The service was friendly but gave us our privacy. The traditional Italian menu and the wonderful flavors will bring us back again and again. There are so many options to choose from even for Taste of Hartford. Please do not ever leave Hartford!!!

I brought a friend who had never been to Carbone's before. It was a thank you dinner for house sitting. We were all incredibly happy with our meals. I had the veal cusinetto, which never disappoints. The worst part is trying to decide what meal to get, as everything is so enticing. Our bartender was wonderful and made us feel welcome while we dined in the bar area.

I took my wife there for her birthday and we had a great relaxing evening. The food was phenomenal, and the service was excellent. We had team service (Tony & Ellen). They was we're pleasant, knowledgeable, and they checked in the right amount (not so often that we couldn't talk, but we never waited for anything). A great location.

Service was exemplary from the moment we drove into the parking lot until the time we drove away. Felt warm and inviting. Nice menu with many additional specials offered. Portions were on the smaller side of average with a higher price point. Not a complaint because the food was fresh and well prepared. This was our first time here but will more than likely return.
